I bought the AS20 and later saw this attachment for it. After using it a bit, I really love being able to see the live view display while filming or taking photos. It makes the action cam into kind of a camcorder. You use all the buttons on the actual camera. This is just a display attachment. It also has a tripod mount on the bottom. The screen swivels so you can use it from all angles.

This accessory converts the Action Cam to a more familiar camcorder form factor for ease of use. The LCD panel swings out like a conventional camcorder, and even swivels/tilts so you can shoot selfies. Playback is easy with the three RWD/Play/FFW buttons. But switching between record and playback is a little tricky and may involve trial and error. As could be expected, battery life is impacted by using the bright LCD screen. It's a tradeoff, depending on your priorities. Installing the camera in the housing is a bit tricky: you have to hold the camera's bottom door open while slipping the camera into the bottom half of the shell so that the LCD shell's connector can plug into the bottom of the camera.

This is a wonderful attachment for the Sony Action Cam. It allows you to hold and use it as a camcorder. It's easy to use and has a female thread to connect it to a tripod. The viewfinder is bright and crystal clear. No, you can't zoom with this device and it's not waterproof. It's just a nice add-on for your camera that also allows you to playback video and watch it on the screen.

So i started out with the arm screen, very nice. But at times found myself wanting to look at what i was recording in my hand. This screen solves the problem. makes the camera alittle bulky but not too bad. Still fits in your hand. Runs off the camera battery so that drains the battery faster but still a nice add on.

Makes camera very easy to use, especially when holding the camera. Easy to take camera out and put back in. I didn't think I would use the unit as much as I do but all in all I love it and glad I made the purchase.

Great for reviewing footage and for using the action cam as a handheld. Still keeps the overall size very compact and is easy to carry around, fits easily into a pocket if you have cargo shorts etc

A free software upgrade lets you see live image on iPhone, etc. which is very cool and don't need housing they sell for another 100 bucks with monitor.

I use this camera on my motorcycle. The thing is simple to use, the picture quality is fabulous and accessories are easy to find,

The overall design of the lcd screen is good, and adds a lot of versatility to the Sony Action Cam line. It turns the action cam into somewhat of a camcorder. If you are purchasing this remember that the angle of view on the ActionCam is wider than that of a standard camcorder so the picture/video will be a wideview. I am very satisfied with the product, I actually purchased two (one for a gift). It does work with all variants of the FULL SIZE Action Cam, I have not used it with the Mini so I can not attest to that. I have personally used it with the AS-15, AS-20, and AS-100. Product fell short one star because I felt as though they could have added an battery into the unit that would increase the operating time of the camera. I have a 64 gig card in there that easily outlasts the battery while recording on max settings. Good Buy. - Recommended

Very good to see the footage, but the LCD screen is too small and the product is heavy.

I bought the cover so I could monitor what was being recorded. The item works and performs as advertised

Bought this to go along with my Sony Actioncam which I used for motovlogging . There are times I wanted a HD capable camera for off bike use and with this unit I can do so . The LCD screen makes centering on the action a breeze .

For the price its a no brainier. But all it does is to allow you to use as a hand held camera. There is no zoom as the camera itself is an action camera.

love what this product does. turns your action cam into a camcorder. simple to attach and use. if you have a sony action cam, it's a must have.

This is a great accessory for the Sony Action Cam. Turns the Action Cam into a regular video cam. Easy to use, view what you are recording and review footage. Very happy with this purchase.

This will make you sony actioncam into a little handheld camera. It's nice that you can review your clips before heading back for the day. Also makes the cam a bit more stable if your holding it by hand to record. I like it but I got it price matched....It's overpriced for what it is.

I compared us to the go Pro in from the Sony has a built in GPS and had a better picture quality.

After enjoying my Sony Action Cam for a while with great success & satisfaction I decided to try this nifty accessory. It feels to be high quality with a beautiful display. I knew that it doesn't have a zoom feature but it provides the ability to catch some quality video similar to my video camera giving me one more camera angle. I use these cams for auto racing & while I am getting footage with my video camera I let a crew member walk around with this cam to catch some other video for extra editing footage. It does run off of the cam battery but works well for my purposes.

This is plugin-play, Perfect mating with the camera. I have no complaints with image quality, It does however run off the camera's battery. Glad I got it.
