You don't often find cameras at this print point from 5+ years ago that can still hold their own against the newer cameras but this one truly does which explains why the price doesn't seem to go down often. The pic quality is still superb and video capabilities are still superior to the Canon mirror-less counterparts anywhere near this price point. I just wish the battery life was better as it usually doesn't last through a multi hour photo shoot at the zoo. You'll be well advised to buy a 2nd battery to carry with you.

Okay So I upgraded from the Nikon D3200 to the Sony a6000. I do a lot of traveling and the Nikon was just too heavy and somewhat noticeable. The Sony a6000 is a camera on the other hand is half the size and weight. I love this camera! It does everything my Nikon did and more! The only thing I DON'T like about it, is the video button is in a bad spot. I'm hitting it while taking photos all the time it seems. Also barely touch the view finder and your screen turns black. Ugh! But beyond all that. This camera is amazing. 24.3 megapixels, lots of options to take photos and to set your own settings. Pretty amazing for the price.

This mirrorless camera is so compact with low weight for my kid doing generating awesome pictures. It's a good camera for family activities. Thanks Sony!

First Sony camera and I love the picture quality on this camera. Smaller than what I’m used to and lighter too. Great camera!

Fantastic quality of the still photos and videos! It has many features that I haven't even tried yet. The camera and 200mm zoom lens fits perfectly in a Lowepro camera bag Best Buy sells. The relatively small size and weight of the camera is great. The only thing I didn't like was the somewat awkward location of the video recording on switch. I think it is the only place you can stop the video recording too. It is a huge change from my old heavy 35mm camera. My year and a half old android phone doesn't seem to have the capability of accepting the images via WIFI. Don't know if it has WIFI capability for IPHONES. Not a big issue for me. Overall I really like the camera and 200mm zoom lens.

I love this camera! It’s a great entry level camera and takes beautiful pictures. I wanted something a little more advanced than my point and shoot camera for my trip to Antarctica and this didn’t disappoint. My point and shoot is also a Sony so it was very easy to make the transition but it’s pretty intuitive even if you’ve not used a Sony before. Be very careful when changing the lenses though as it’s very easy to get dust on the sensor and that cannot be cleaned very easily.

I purchased this same camera about 4-5 years ago. Im extremely rough on it and take thousands of images a year. My shudder went on my old one, so it wasnt really a surpise when it did. I initially purchased the alpha a7ii as a replacement, but im not a super camera tech savy person and didnt like the idea that the a7ii didnt have the built in flash. I love the a6000 is small, light, has a built in flash. I can grab it and snap without having to worry about anything. The a7ii was bigger, heavier, the idea i needed to attach an external flash to use it, just really bothered me. So I did end up returning the a7ii and repurchasing the 6000 again. I am very very happy I did. I love my a6000. The only issue I have had with both a6000 cameras I have had now, I take pictures of animals. I snap pictures quickly and repeatedly. If i snap several in a row(maybe 10-15 in a rapid row) the camera wiill freeze(not actually freeze,but it just wont take the picture anymore). It has happened with both, so I know know it wasnt just my old camera. I have to stop and turn it off and turn it back on. That would literally be my only complaint. I love this little camera

Don't even hesitate. BUY THIS CAMERA. I'm by no means am an excellent photographer, but this camera takes my simple skills to a whole new level. I love taking pictures with this and the additional lens just makes it that much better.

So far very happy with this purchase received a lot of helpful info in store from the tech. Camera has many great features and is easy to set up also received extra lens and memory card with bag in the bundle package.

I'm new to Sony cameras but have done many weddings with Canon equipment. I Love the what you see is what you get! I used to shoot Raw exclusy because I always had to edit pics from my canon equipment to get it just right. With t his camera I shoot jpg and dont ever seem to have to edit. Love this light weight set! I purchased this kit for about the price of one Canon lens. Great for hiking and walk around camera. Sony has a convert.

I am very impressed with this camera. It is super light-weight and portable. I have found it easy to navigate (with a little help from some youtube tutorials.) I highly recommend to anyone interested in photography.

This camera is extremely fast at focusing and snapping shots. It's so fun and easy to take great shots like a point and shoot but the quality is much much better. I often gotten quite frustrated with the focusing systems and speed on my other Canon and Nikon DSLR's I've owned but this camera brings back the fun of taking great spontaneous photos because of it's overall speed and ease of use. One of best camera purchases I've made in a while after several high end DSLR purchases over the past few years. Highly recommended.

I need an easy to use camera that has high resolution and high frames per second. I took the camera out without testing it on a vacation in the Caribbean. It performed exceptional in low light, night, day, on the water and high speed shots. It is light enough for my wife to handle and to be nit-picky the only thing that we have an issue with is the line up dots when you change lens need to be more prominent but other than that we are extremely happy.

This camera is great! We have really enjoyed the slim body and the quality pictures that it takes. The Black Friday pricing was an unbelievable deal in my opinion and we love the package option that came with the extra battery, bag, and zoom lense. As other reviews mentioned, the camera struggles in low light but we have had some better luck by simply turning on the flash. We also really enjoy the wireless transfer option for quick uploads to social media. Very happy with the purxhase.

I love my Nikon D5000 but I left it at the vacation house and we scheduled a Scandinavian cruise so I wanted a great camera to capture those moments. Sony sales rep happened to be in the store and walked me through the features. Mind blowing list of features and very easy to use. Smaller and lighter than my Nikon and takes better pictures. The Sony will be a permanent travel companion from now on. Still experimenting with all the features but each one I try meets or exceeds expectations.

Recently decided to move away from my Nikon dsl and try the Sony. Best switch. The camera and its many features took awesome pics on a trip to Capri as well as action shots at my son's soccer games

With newer versions coming out, it's a good time to snatch this awesome camera. I'm a beginner and have another DLSR. This one has a much faster shutter speed than my Nikon. Pictures look amazing.

Shocked at the quality of my camera. Head to head, better than most DSLR cameras and takes unbelievably high quality photographs. Its convenient size, interchangeable lenses, long battery life make it the go to camera for hobbyists and professionals alike. I would recommend this camera to anyone in the market for a good value camera with room for customization and investment based on your personal needs.
