Posted .Hi Dread, The viewfinder has a proximity sensor so as long as the sensor know you are looking at the Electronic View Finder, it should stay on. Does it switch off even if you are looking in the EVF? Also what mode were you using when you got the underexposed images? Thanks -Zander

The only issue I encountered is with apps, Sony sells you the apps that extend the functionality of the camera, which in my opinion paying so much money for it should give me the ability to take timelapse photos at least without having to pay extra for an app.
