I got this thinking that I would only use it for vlogging and minimal video work but it became my primary camera for a little while. Versatile and compact while still maintaining excellent quality. The images and clips that I've used have been with high profile jobs and clientele.

Learning how to take great pictures on this camera can be challenging due to way the menus are setup but I have gotten some great photos of my children and some wild life. I am enjoying this camera greatly.

Don’t think of this as a vlog cam only! It takes great photos and is a perfect starter mirrorless camera. This camera was a perfect choice for a small travel camera. Definitely perfect for my trip to Japan!

This is my first "big" camera purchase and I can say it has been a trip. I thought that the new cellphones would make cameras under 1k look cheap, but maaaaan was I wrong. This thing has soooo many features. Best first experience I've had with any tech I've purchased. It's very newbie friendly too! p.s. threw the Sigma 30mm prime lens on it

loved it. i did break the lens because the strap slipped off my shoulder so i’d say be careful with that but other than that i love it.

I have had this camera for about a month now and I wanted to get a feel for it before leaving a review. So far I can say I absolutely love it and I am glad I invested into this camera as it is also my first camera. I am a content creator and make beauty content and I have LOVED the results of what I’m filming for and can see a big difference in my content already. Now I’m not a camera savvy girl but it is beginner friendly with tutorials out there to really learn the camera. So I would definitely recommend if you considering creating content and I love how my vlogs come out now!

This camera is AMAZING!!! I got it to start my Youtube channel cause i need a better video, and MAN has it been a life savor! I highly recommend this camera for and vlogging, Podcasting, and streaming or going live! So yes go and buy this camera and the staff there was very helpful with any questions that you may have!

Perfect for creating content, photos are great but its lacking IBIS and EVF. It does has digital stabilization and catalyst browse which helps with stabilizing footage. Battery dies fairly quickly when making videos make sure to stock up on batteries or a 3rd party continuous power adapter from amazon. It has a mic input and it can charge and be used while charging via USB-C which is a big plus. Pair this with a good sigma/sony lens and this is a everyday beast. The photos and video from this camera can compete with sony bigger camera especially if you are already familiar with what your doing. Over all i do recommend this camera especially if your looking to create better content for social media. The phone is ok but nothing like having real crispy creamy authentic bokeh backgrounds in your videos.

I am a beginner in photography and videography and started off with a Canon Rebel T2. I will say, that Canon is great for those that don't know photography lingo (like ISO, aperture and shutter speed). But once you get the hang of this camera, the image quality is so nice! The one kind of negative thing I will say about this camera is the battery life. I can maybe get away with using for a days outing of taking pictures but it does go down pretty quick. I am still getting used to all the features of this camera, but the more I use it, the easier it is to take quality shots/videos, and the more I appreciate it.

As someone with no camera experience, this is a great beginner camera. The settings are easy to maneuver with the many tutorials out there. The only downside is that this camera does not have flash but a clip light can be purchased separate. I’ve enjoyed kickstarting my vlogging journey thanks to this camera! (:

This camera is so much fun to use. I really enjoy all the features and the ease of use. The video is great and the photography works fair. If you’re looking for a good all around camera this is the one for you. If you looking to take professional style photography this may not be the one for you.

This camera is great over all! Takes great pics and videos. Apparently this camera has the same sensor and the one in the A6600.

I don't get the huge number of positive reviews on this except to note that they are massively "tech insider" program reviews. This is a very average camera. It has an old sensor used for a long time on Sony cameras. It has a very old and low quality screen. It has an old battery that isn't very well suited for a video oriented camera - it would be well suited for a photo-focused camera. It has an old menu system that doesn't even support touchscreen use. The only touchscreen functionality I could get working was touch to focus. Anywhere else it doesn't work. The onboard stabilization is weak in that it adds a massive crop to smooth out video. Meanwhile cheaper action cameras can get better stabilization from <10% crop. I'm guessing because the processor is too weak (probably also old tech). I am coming from a Samsung NX500 camera from 2016 and that thing had a better resolution OLED screen and proper touchscreen operation. It also had a 28mp sensor that was also fast with great colors. If that NX500 didn't break I would return this in a second because this is 2x the price. I just find it hard to believe people are OK with this price and performance in 2022. The market is so stagnant that this is acceptable? In 2022 we should have GPS on board without installing an app on my phone and doing a clunky connection every time I want to geo tag photos. We should have a working touchscreen. We should have an OLED if there is no view-finder. So with the cons out of the way.. I will say the camera is fast and auto focus is great. The lens selection is OK, I ended up buying the Sony 10-18mm because of the huge crop on image stabilization, but the aperture on that lens at F4 is not great for video. I mostly use the Sigma 16mm and Sony 50mm and 36mm lenses. One feature I love about this camera is the gyro data. Using Sony's catalyst browse software you get a really smooth video with very little crop - unlike the onboard stabilization. I found the on-board mic to be useless but thankfully Sony makes a very expensive hotshoe mic that is cable free and sounds amazing. The ECM-B1M is a must have if you buy this. In summary, I've gotten some great family videos out of it thanks to the Sony 50mm and Sigma 16mm lens and the Sony microphone. I also use the Ronin SC-1 gimbal which handles the weight perfectly even with a cell phone mounted on top. I would still recommend this camera, because alternatives are similar in being dated and stagnant. If Samsung was in the game still I think we would be in an entirely different landscape on this size camera because in 6 years they for sure would have added the gyro stabilization and a mic input and that alone would make it better than this for the sensor and OLED.
