But I had no idea how deprived I’d been! Amazing sound! I bought this record player along with a set of Sony bookshelf speakers, and I plan on upgrading to a set of floor speakers soon.

I haven't used the cables yet. I really like the auto start/stop feature to control the arm. FYI - One issue I had with the set up was incorrectly installing the belt. The table was spinning too fast (vocals all sounded like kids). The Sony service center could not determine the cause. However, when I rechecked the belt, it was running on the lip of the spindle rather than the groove. Easy fix and then it sounded right.
