I like to support refurbishment and open box reselling to cut down on waste but still have high standards so I chose the "Excellent" quality level item when purchasing this turntable. It only saved me $30 from the sale price of a new item, but again it was more about supporting the program and cutting down on waste while still getting a "like new" turntable that I'd been eyeing for a while. Upon receipt, I opened the package to discover the dust cover is riddled with scratches and scuffs and has an unknown substance glued on the center of the top side. Rather than "excellent" or "like new," it looks as if someone used and loved this turntable for years and then decided to trade it in. Not at all what was promised on the Best Buy website when I purchased. I didn't even bother to unpack the rest of the turntable; based on the cover alone, the item should be resold "Fair" condition at best. I am returning and purchasing from another seller.
