This item has poor sound quality and did not perform as well as lost Sony products. This is very poor quality. I returned it the very day I purchased it.

Product does not work and Best Buy is refusing to take the return.
I got this record player as a birthday present for my boyfriend. He has a bunch of records and with a bluetooth speaker I thought this would be a great addition to his collection. We tried several times to get the bluetooth speaker to work and spoke to support who took us through some trouble shooting. Unfortunately the bluetooth functionality was not working and even worse Best Buy refused to make an exchange!
I purposely bought this thought Best Buy because I did not want to support Amazon. But based on the service I would recommend another retailer in case you run into the same issues I did!

Ok for a beginner but not anywhere near the quality I wanted. It is a good starter for someone that is thinking about getting into vinyl, but just spend a bit more and get a better table.

I was a radio DJ in the 60’s and have about 1200 vinyl records at home so I know quite a bit about turntables. This Sony PS- LX310BT is a winner.
It’s simple and elegant. You can find much more expensive and elaborate turntables, with weights hanging off the tone arm and adjustments of all kinds. This has none of that. There are only two adjustments. Your record speed, 45 or 33 rpm, and your record size, 12” or 7”. That IT, and the sound is every bit as good as the others.
The automatic tonearm is a great feature. You push START and the arm moves gently to the start of the record and then when it’s over the tonearm goes back to the arm rest and the turntable stops; you don’t have to stop what you’re doing, lifting up the tone arm manually. If you want to play a certain track on an album, you can push the “up/down” button, hover the needle over the track you want, and then push the button again and the needle gently drops down on your track.
I have a pair of Bluetooth speakers in my den and was curious as how difficult it would be to pair to the turntable. I’d say it took about 5 seconds. I pushed the Bluetooth button, the LED turns blue and almost instantly the pairing was complete. The sound of Beatles Abbey Road filled my speakers. You of course can also pair the turntable directly to a pair of quality Bluetooth headphones and listen in private. That is a cool idea. You can connect this device to an amp the old fashioned way also. It connects “phono” level or “line level” and there’s a three position gain switch to match your amp perfectly.
I think you’ll love this turntable. Just be VERY careful when unpackaging and assembling. There’s all kinds of sticky packing tape around almost every part. When you take the platter out of the box there’s some red tape stuck to it and it’s very easy to think it’s just there for packaging. It turns out it’s attached to a very thin drive belt and it would be very easy to toss it thinking it’s there for packaging. You need to loop this belt around the drive motor when dropping the platter onto the turntable assembly itself.
Overall, I give the turntable a full five stars. You’ll love it if like me, you’ve listened to vinyl for years, or if you are just getting started.

Bought this Sony turntable to match my previously purchased Sony Receiver and speakers. Very heavily distorted sound during first usage a few weeks after purchase. After troubleshooting with Sony (unfortunately after the 30-day BB return window), I shipped 18-month old Receiver to Sony's repair site to check Phono ports. No issues found, so the assumption was a problem turntable. Told today that they cannot find any issues, so returning to me despite me sending a recording of the same distortion. It's clear that modern Sony audio products a junk, especially their turntables. I plan to send this one to a landfill where it belongs.

Very excited to give to spouse for gift. Went to setup and was missing needle and maunals and box was in disarray. Best Buy literally sent me a return and called it excellent when it was used and incomplete. Buyer Beware. Not Sonys fault.

Had to return to store as it was in pieces when shipped to my son. He could not get it together so they returned the item and went with a different table.

Tried to connect via Bluetooth and wired speakers. Sound is extremely poor. We tried two different Bose BT speakers, two different Sony BT speakers, and 1 set of wired speakers. The sound was faint and staticky! Have to send to Sony to see if it can be repaired

Maybe I shouldn't even rate this because after buying it, setting it up, not getting it to turn on with cheap, faulty power switches, taking it back, trading it in for another one, going through the same process with the same results, I finally got a different turntable. So how do I rate something that never worked?! I wanted a turntable with a pre-amp to pair with an older (Sony) receiver so was not pleased about all the time I lost on this process. And the in-store tech indicated he had another customer with a different problem with this same turntable, that's when I decided to move to another brand and model.

Wish I had never bought it. The blue tooth did not work at first, now it does. I sent it out to have that fixed, after purchasing a reciever and 2 new speakers. Returned the receiver once the radio started working with the speakers. HOWEVER, now the timing is off. It came back from the techs as "nothing is wrong". the 75 speed setting sounds "almost" like how the 33 should sound. The 33 sound setting sounds like I have drunken darth vaders in my stereo.
