Poor BT connectivity and build quality is low given the price. The audio cable is also hardwired for no reason so if you use BT you still have a 6 foot wire Hanging out for no reason.

I bought this for my husband as a Father's Day gift. For starters, the turntable was delivered with the picture on the outside of the box... so much for the element of surprise.
We have yet to hear music playing because it is not compatible with our soundbar and the device that was recommended for the set up didn't work either.
If we ever get the turntable to play out loud I will update the review but for now this is where we are

I bought this gift for my father-in-law for a Christmas present. I ordered it online and picked it up from the store next day so that part was great. Went to go hook it up for him after Christmas and did everything as the instruction said however there was an issue with the turntable motor and it would not rotate freely. So it now has to be sent back to Sony in order to get it repaired/replaced.

Poor purchase. It did not work right out of the box. Consulted with on-line tech help (there is no phone option) and they agreed that I should return the turntable to Sony. We have shipped it back. I suppose they will replace it. I hope that one works, as many reviews were pretty positive.

Was all excited to set it up and use it. After getting it all set up unit wouldn’t turn on. Now I've got to go all the way back to the store to return it. Terrible experience.

Worst purchase I've had in a long time. Something is wrong with the preamp regardless of changing all the settings I try, the sound is barely audible on my harmon kardon bluetooth speaker. Garbage product and I just missed the return deadline. You can only use this model through bluetooth as there's no red and white cable ports and the bluetooth is crap on this unit. I threw away over $200 on this terrible machine.

only option given to us was return for credit or but a separate cord. Since it was the big Christmas gift we opted to buy a separate pord cord so my son ciuld use it. Very disappointed in Best Buys response to Sony’s sloppiness.

Upon opening the lid was broken, but I decided to hook it up to see what the sound quality was like. I had my re river turned up to 85 and could hardly hear it. I ended up returning it. I had a wonderful JVC that lasted over 20 years and had great sound quality, but couldn't find anyone to repair it. It's amazing since vinyl has become popular again how much the turntables have increased in price, but quality hasn't followed unless you spend upwards of $300.

The built-in phono preamp doesn’t work. I didn’t notice before purchasing that it also has hardwired RCA cables instead of output ports, and connecting this to a Sonos Five speaker is next to impossible since it takes a 3.5mm input only, and none of the stores near me carry female RCA to male 3.5mm in stock, I had to wait for one to be delivered to find the thing doesn’t work.

I purchased a Sony Bluetooth turntable from Best Buy. I never even got to use it before I had to send it out for service. Now instead of listening to the vinyl albums I haven't heard in so long I'm messing around with boxing everything back up and sending it out for repairs. What a joke. Save your money.

OK, I've noticed that vinyl has been making a screaming comeback. For the life of me, I could not figure out why... Then my daughter discovered Taylor Swift picture disks and wondered how in the world such technology could possibly work... My wife got her the Taylor Swift picture disk for her birthday so I decided I might as well give her the opportunity to experience the late 80's like the wife and I.
I determined this would be a good option given it's wireless capacity. I looked at some "self contained" units that had built in power and speakers and also looked at units that would require external speakers and external amp. I figured this would be the 'cleanest" option since you can hook up multiple BT wireless speakers to meet any rooms sound capacity (small speaker for dorm, medium for apartment, large for basement bar etcetera) in addition to the external wired option if an existing stereo / sound system exists. This was the perfect option for our needs and provided multiple opportunities.
The hook up was simple. A couple minutes and she had it going to her little wireless speaker. When she placed that vinyl down and the needle automatically rested on the first track, she was amazed! The "technology" was so unique to her experience. She listened for seeming hours!
Ease of use was great, pairing was simple and the sound was really warm. I remember "back in the day" a similar experience would have taken an entire cabinet of hardware and hundreds of dollars in equipment. Pretty cool!
In all, very mice product. If you have a need or desire, this is a very good mid-level product. My only minor area for opportunity is I wish it would have more color options and perhaps even a throw-back design, but that's really it.
In all, I would recommend this to a friend.
