There is a switch on the back for high or low recording levels but it makes no difference in the volume. No other volume control is on the turntable. So even if I get regular speakers I can't increase the volume. Is there a problem with the machine? Should I return for a new one?

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing low volume with your Bluetooth speaker, and we would like to help clarify how the turntable functions. Please be aware that the turntable itself does not have a built-in volume control; instead, the volume is adjusted directly on your connected Bluetooth speaker or through the amplifier of your wired speakers. To address the low volume, we recommend ensuring that your Bluetooth speaker's own volume is turned up, and you may also try setting the Gain Select switch on the back of the turntable to High, as this provides a +4 dB boost that can help with quieter output levels. If you decide to use wired speakers in the future, please ensure they are "active" (powered) speakers or connected via an amplifier to allow for volume adjustment.

Hopefully this will last that long, but if it does I will be pushing up daisies. Already putting it to good use recording my vinyl to digital for use in my vehicles. But the quality of analog playback makes me think I won't be getting rid of my vinyl any time soon.
