Great picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only thing I would change is that you have to aim the remote directly at the bottom center and hold for a couple of seconds to turn off. Maybe it's because my sound bar is in front of it, otherwise, it's great!

Best TV for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have seen many LED TV's before and Sony seems to make the sharpest image TV to me. This one did not disappoint, was super easy to set up, love the smart TV feature AND it came with mounting brackets to mount it on the wall. An added bonus I didn't realize until I opened the box so as long as you don't want to tilt the TV no need to spend more money on a mount. Picture quality is excellent. The only down side is my wife doesn't like the configuration of the remote and keeps touching a wrong button. Nothing's perfect but would buy this TV again in a heart beat. Also super light weight which made installation a snap. Compared to my old Samsung flat panel the Sony seems light as a feather.

Sony Bravia 48"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Why I bought this TV? 1. Great picture quality. 2. Great sound 3. Lightweight. Very light. 4. Energy saver. 5. Design. Slim. Color. Table stand. 6. Intuitive menu. Easy to setup. 7. Lot of features. Smart TV. 8. Sony brand (trusted). 9. Price not too high ($600 + warranty) 10. Perfect size for my room. Don't like: 1. No VGA input any more. Unable to connect my old laptop; 2. To use Skype need to buy Sony web camera (extra $82 on Amazon) 3. No Spotify app at all !!! Seriously? 4. A bit slow app's menu, but faster than Vizio. 5. Remote control is good but Volume buttom in wrong place. 6. A little expensive.

Great tv for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony made a great tv. The picture is vivid and easy to adjust. It is a smart tv that can use the Internet and comes with a lot of apps including Netflix. It even changes inputs when selecting a blue ray player or directv. The tv also has play station capabilities. It was a great purchase that replaced a plasma tv that quit working. The only problem is when you use the Internet to watch streaming video the remote is unable to select full screen.

The best picture I've seen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After working out our budget for what we could afford to upgrade to, my wife and I decided we could not afford a 4k . What helped us was the fact the 4 k models would not be used to its fullest .Broadcasters haven't caught up to the technology. Eventually they will and by that time we will reevaluate our position the prices will come down and we will be able to afford 4K. Our research led us to Samsung's 1080P models again. With full intention to buy a Samsung we went to our local Best Buys. To our surprise we compared this Sony Bravio to the Samsung comparitive model. Wow what a difference in the clarity of the picture. The Sony also impressed us with the motion technology compared to the Samsung. They won hands down. We are very pleased with our Sony. The only downside to our purchase was the remote. It was difficult getting used to the different configuration with little explanations how to use the remote. There is no preset for favorite channels that I could find. Thus only 4 rating.

Nice picture, Bad "Smart" interface
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, the picture, clarity and refresh are great. Some of the smart features are innovative and there is good app selection, but there are several obstacles leaving the smart technology feeling half-baked. For example, you can't set a sleep timer when you're in an app like Netflix. You have to back all the way out of the app, set the sleep timer, and then go back into the app. After you turn the tv on, you have to wait quite a while just to change the input. The remote is not illuminated, nor is it very intuitive and it's easy to hit a wrong button when you're trying to use the arrow buttons. Small annoyances like this add up. It's not enough to make me return it, but definitely not a frustration-free experience.

quick and convenient
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Smart part of the TV is great, but there is a limit on apps you can download. It's only approved Sony apps, which means no HBOGO or apps from the app store. Also the remote input of text is really slow. A remote with letters on it would be better

Excellent TV for this size and orice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for the max size I could do under 50inches to fit a corner space. This did the trick. Apps are great so far, pic quality is great. I put some old 60s movies on Criterion Blu-ray on and the classic grain and quality was excellent. Only complaint is the remote: it is tough to press the arrow keys without sometimes accidentally hitting the hot button keys around them. Gets equally troublesome when trying to enter in UN and PWs for apps. But, we're talking just the remote here. Need to get used to it, or maybe there's a better replacement down the way.

Great HDTV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was awesome for my bedroom wall. Great clarity of the picture. Works well with HD on cable, I had never had a smart TV and was curious how it might work. The remote as the interface is a little clunky in operation especially as you try to enter a new website. It does take the TV a while to set up once it accesses the wireless network as well. I used a wireless repeater to get a strong signal in my Master bedroom at one corner of the house. That cleared up delays in loading screens, waiting for some videos while watching them etc. All -in-all a nice TV for the price.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is wonderful. It does everything I was hoping and then some. I can control it with my smartphone if I wanted to. My only thing is Cox went all digital and now I can't change the channel with the original remote and I have to have another remote. I recommend this TV and can't really say anything other than try it, you'll love it.

very good value for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV, high quality image (excellent color balance, crisp, no motion lag), easy to setup. The sound is average, but this is supposed to be a TV not a high quality sound system. Moving rather slowly after pressing keys on remote. Decent selection of apps, could be better. My recommendation is, if your main criterion is image - get this. If the "smart" options are more important, then probably a good idea to look further.

Good entry level LED HD TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good picture quality, lots of apps and features built-in including wifi. The sound quality is very disappointing. Start up time for some features is slow. The remote is laid out very poorly and it's easy to press the "wrong" button when making selections. However, even with some of the annoying issues I've mentioned, it's still a very good value. I would recommend it to a friend.

Open Box Item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV for my new place as an open box item. Best buy gave me a great deal for an item that was in perfect working condition. The box, however, was missing the two screws for the stand so they reduced the price even further. The SMART TV features work great. I would love for SONY to pick up more/better apps. The only real complaint I have is that the remote cannot be used as a universal remote for my cable box.

Good tv but Samsung has been software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I own a Samsung smart tv. I like this Sony,. The picture and sound are very good.. Setting up the internet connect was a breeze. The price is very competitive compared to Samsung's models. I must say that I prefer Samsung's software. It places prominent apps up front and does not overwhelm one with apps. Sony places apps up front, but the default does not contain the web browser and Sony's documentation was useless. I had to find the location of the web browser app in a chat community. The search feature proved worthless, so I had to scroll through pages to find it, at the end. Furthermore, there is no way to delete all the apps that are available. Sure one can create his/her own app page, but it annoys me knowing that there are so many useless apps that I cannot delete. The remote is okay, but again Samsung has Sony beat. The central function buttons are small and too closely aligned. If your fingers are like the stems of a rose, then you will be okay. I will be looking for a good universal remote to use along with my attached devices.

great picture, perfect TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 48" Sony TV has been great. We bought it to hang in the bedroom and it has been perfect. The only thing negative and it is not a big one I suppose, is the remote. It`s a little weird with its circular arrow keys for moving around. Otherwise fabulous picture and Netflix works great as well.

Crazy remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture, but remote control is way to complicated . I'm a long way from a tech dummy and this tv has features I'll never use because I can't figure out how to access them. At least not without spending a half hour reading owners manual! And I refuse to do so. Maybe they should follow Apples example of a more intuitive product

Excellent value.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very pleased with this unit. The picture and size are perfect for our room, and the faster refresh rate helps make the action scenes smooth and easy to watch. The interface is intuitive and makes it easy to adjust all the features, of which there are many. The television distinguishes among all the input components on its own so I no longer have to switch to DVD, etc myself, it just handles it, which is nice. It would get five stars, but the remote is a little annoying in the way it's configured, so you have to pay attention to make sure you don't go to Netflix when you only wanted to skip forward. All in all a nice, inexpensive television that happens to be the best I have ever owned. I think that's what I wanted.

Good TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV with many features. Great picture and sound quality. The only thing I don't like is the remote control that comes with it. It was very easy to set up. I did it myself by following the enclosed directions.
