THE BASS IT ADDS TO MY STEREO SYSTEM SOUNDS GREAT FOR ALL TYPES OF DIFFERENT MUSIC. I PURCHASED THIS UNIT ONE WEEK AFTER BUYING THE 1015 WATT 7.2 CHANNEL RECEIVER FROM SONY AND THEY WORK VERY GOOD TOGETHER. I SET MINE UP SO AS SOON AS YOU TURN ON THE RECEIVER THE SUBWOOFER WAKES UP AND STARTS PLAYING, YOU DON'T EVER HAVE TO POWER IT UP BY ITSELF.I HAVE THIS COMPLETE SYSTEM ALONG WITH 8 SONY SPEAKERS IN MY 4 CAR GARAGE AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME. THANK YOU TO SONY FOR ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT AND THANK YOU TO THE BEST BUY STORE IN COUNTRYSIDE,IL FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP.

I own the complete set of the Core series surround speakers, and this sub is a true all-star. It gets the booming lows your looking for. I found that I can only run it at about 50 percent of its output or its just too loud, and its nice to know that if I'm putting on a really heavy action or disaster movie and I want those super deep bass effects, I still have headway to turn it up a little bit to impress the viewers. Couldn't be happier here. Highly recommended.

It says 10 inches but it's a lot bigger in person, a quarter of the size of my mini-fridge. It's my first subwoofer, never had any experience, and it works. Had to mess with a few cords, but it works. It can leave a buzzing sound when my pc is off, but that is most likely due to how I set it up, not due to a speaker error.

I will use the term "big things come in small packages" to describe this sub. Bass is very adequate and punchy. I was surprised the amount of bass coming from this sub, and its got no distortion as far as I could tell. I got it hooked up to a Slim line Marantz and Polk bookshelf and center. An audio guy that sold me a record player once said that I am an audiophile and I am more than satisfied with this subwoofer.

When I'd buy speakers they'd have a tweeter, mid-range, and bass speakers all in one. I bought some Klipsch 5.25 book shelf speakers. I paired this sub woofer with them. I could probably get evicted and blow the walls down with this sub woofer. I don't want to go there. I bought mine open box, free shipping, and saved over $100 off retail. Most likely the last speakers I'll buy. I certainly don't need any more power than this as is. I like the adjustments in the back because this sub woofer can really kick out the bass. Much more than I could handle or my neighbors. Hope this helps. Oh I really like it!
