Goes down to 28Mhz versus 25Mhz which was better on my previous 10inch sub (not Sony). Bought 2 for my basement (on sale). 1 Sub - good, 2 Subs - outstanding!!

Although the last sub was a bit more basey this one has great sound. Another thing I really like is the size. Compared to the older sub woofers this has a much smaller box.

Surprisingly musical!

I’m it in conjunction with the Sony CS-5 bookshelf speakers for a turntable stereo system and it blends nicely. It’s not going to alert the neighbors every time I put on a record but it fills my large listening space without distortion. I’ve had this product for a year and have had zero issues. For the open box price or the 50% off sale price it is an absolute steal.

You have complete control of how little or much it hits. Sony always has sturdy and quality built speakers so it's the only ones I buy. It is a bit heavy and bulky but with the built in amp and 10" woofer, you gotta expect some size. It does have the auto shut off and separate controls to adjust in your favor. I wish it came with a more quality cable but just pick one up at Bestbuy to reduce potential humming if you have a lower end amp.
