This camera was bought solely for concert videos. It's small enough to take into all venues and clubs. Has a great zoom on it. Live concert recordings sound pretty good for what it is. Color is a hit or miss with most modern LED lighting, but decent. Zoom is good, one of the better length ones. It's limited though as the digital part of the zoom can really show pixels and artifacting. Cons, the price and the digital noise. Also, sometimes it over heats. For no reason. Even in the winter or in a cold room. Record time is limited to 5 minute intervals and can't seem to change that, but I'm sure if I dug deeper in the menu settings I could find the change.

This camera is ideal for photography and short videos in 4K. For the size, it produces excellent photos with generous zoom capabilities. Unfortunately, I picked this up to shoot concerts in 4K, and even on low bitrate and medium quality settings, it overheats and powers down after recording for around 17 minutes. If you're just picking this up for photos, short 4K videos, and videos in 1080p, I'd definitely recommend this camera. If you need to shoot 4K videos for 90+ minutes and can afford to stop and start recording before the 29m59s recording limit, pick up the DSC-RX10 IV. It passed my 100 minute recording test with flying colors.

When I first got it, the packaging of the product was not sealed and it felt like it had been opened. However, there are no problems in using it overall, and the product is very good.

Yes, a little expensive, but it’s the point and shoot with the best auto focus in the market. Better than any other small point and shoot. Recommended

This is the ultimate small allin- one camera allowing for wide angle to 200 mm telephoto work. Many menus and abilities to control your image. Perfect if you don’t want to lug 35mm gear along with you on you trips

This is a well respected camera in a very small form that can be carried in a pocket or a small camera bag. More importantly, it has a 1 inch sensor and a great zoom lens.

Wanted a”pocket” camera for upcoming trip to Europe. Did a lot of research. Think this is the best camera for the money.

I was looking for a travel camera, something small that takes better photos than my iPhone 14. After comparing my iPhone RAW photos and my older Lumix DMC-ZS-100 to this Sony I returned the Sony. Did not believe it was worth the price to me. Normally I use a Canon R5, which is not a fair comparison to this Sony. Would love a small camera that is close to a full frame in quality, not sure there is such a thing.

I wish there were a way to give 4 1/2 stars. This has a huge learning curve for me as this is my first mirrorless camera. I usually shoot a Nikon D750 DSLR. This camera has so many features that I've spent lots of time watching youtube videos to learn how to use all the features of this camera. My only disappointment so far is that low-light shots have lots of noise. Still learning the camera so I may in time be able to overcome this flaw.

I purchased this camera mainly for the enhanced focusing features. It didn't disappoint. Focusing is sharp for both stills and video.

Ordered this camera for my daughters birthday before she was heading to Europe for a few months. She read many reviews and felt it would be the best camera fr what she would be shooting. Unfortunately she went to use it for the first time and it did not work. an error message appeared and she was never able to use it. Getting in touch with Sony is impossible, you are not able to speak with a live agent. every aspect of trying to figure out a solution has been a long drawn out process, unfortunately i did not buy the geek squad warranty because i figured the camera had its own warranty, BIG Mistake!! i will not make that mistake again. Sadly the camera is a lemon and we are still waiting for the situation to be solved.

Anything sony puts on tue market is top notch quality. I am a diehard sony fan so yes; i endorse this.

Great travel camera…purchased new model as had existing model. Love the extended lens for great shots.

Excellent travel camera. Ended up returning because on 2 separate occasions the camera totally froze where I had to remove the battery to reset. This was an open box so I don't know if this a common issue with this model or just a one off issue. I have an older MIV and it had never frozen up even tough it would overheat. I can say the MVII is noticably faster, focuses better ( less prone to hunting) and I never had it overheat. But I was using it in cool temperatures so that was a factor. I really like the super zoom range vs the older models, more than I thought I would. I can't say the picture quality is much improved, but it is great on the MIV too. I have heard of people complaining it is too small and easy to drop. I do not have this issue, but I have a 2 price case protector that gives a better grip and I use a wrist strap as a precaution.
