My experience with the DualSense Edge

My experience with the DualSense Edge is short, like a month short but so far I can definitely see myself using this every day. I've used it for Warzone and Death Stranding 2. The controller feels great in my hand and having the customization options is a game changer for me. I have two previous DualSense controllers that still work but have the dreaded stick drift. I saw this on sale and the added $10 off with my chase points, this came out to almost $8 dollars out of pocket. If you are frequently playing video games, have stick drift issues and find this controller on a good deal, pick it up. But if you don't, I'd say wait or pass on it. Spending $200 ok n a controller in this day and age can break the bank. But it's a great controller none the less.

I recently had a scuf ps5 controller and had got stick drift within maybe 4 to 5 months. I contact them asking if my warranty is still vaild, they said no. That i would have to oay 70$ plus shipping for them to fix so i decided to purchase the Duel Sense Edge and wow i am enjoying it. I have had it for for 2 and half weeks and its been amazing. Controller and the case it comes in feels top notch premium. Comes with two different types of paddles to make it fit and feel most comfortable to you. And the fact if i ever do get stick drift i can just replace the stick moduel. Which i already purchased two for when that time comes. This controller is 10x better than my scuf ps5 controller by a longshot. If you have any doubts you always have like a 15 return policy or can pay for a 45 or 60 day.

I have had three of there controllers they are very good solid, and I love the mapping that you can do. However, have had to return multiple times due to stick drift and batteries is not lasting very long. That’s why it’s only getting three stars.

Great controller. I had an elite Xbox controller for a while and got used to the paddles. After switching back to PlayStation and finding out PS had a similar controller I had to invest. Controller feels great, haven’t had an issues. Only thing I would change is the battery life could be more, after a long session of playing it almost always needs to be charged.

The DualSense Edge Midnight Black controller is an excellent choice because it takes everything that makes the standard DualSense great and upgrades it for serious gamers. It offers pro-level customization, allowing players to remap buttons, adjust stick sensitivity, and fine-tune trigger settings to match their play style. The programmable back buttons and swappable stick caps give you more control and comfort, especially in fast-paced or competitive games. It also keeps the immersive haptic feedback and adaptive triggers that make PS5 games feel more realistic. Overall, the DualSense Edge is a high-quality controller that delivers precision, customization, and performance, making it well worth it for players who want the best experience.

I got this for my husband, he has gotten many regular dual controllers, but since he plays so much the sticks start to stick and the buttons. This controller was so worth the money, if your having stick issues you can replace them for just 20$ instead of buying a whole new controller! It was definitely worth it and the case is amazing to have as well.

I recently purchased the Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller (Midnight Black), and it’s easily one of the best controllers I’ve ever used. The build quality feels solid and premium, and the matte black finish gives it a sleek, professional look.
What really stands out are the customization options — being able to remap buttons, adjust trigger sensitivity, and swap out the back paddles adds a whole new level of control. The adjustable stick modules are a great feature too, especially for competitive gaming or long sessions.
The controller feels very comfortable to hold, with the same adaptive triggers and haptic feedback that make the DualSense so immersive. Battery life is decent, and the included carrying case with the charging cable is a nice touch.
Overall, the DualSense Edge delivers both performance and style — it’s definitely worth it if you want a high-end controller that can be tailored to your play style.

As a disabled gamer who has lost the use and/or control of multiple fingers, to be able to remap buttons to accommodate what I can do, can not be understated. This remote has allowed me to game again when I haven’t been able to for a long amount of time. It’s literally life changing for someone in my position!

It is not worth buying this controller or any other PlayStation controller. I bought it because I already needed another one because of drift, so I opted to buy this one because of the back buttons and the removable joysticks. I did not even make it to a year and I already started to have drift in both joysticks. Every week it was getting worse until I had to buy replacements, which are usually out of stock in other stores so be careful with that. Now after 4 months with one of the replacement joysticks I started to have a drift that is almost not noticeable, but I know it will get worse at some point. The controller is expensive and I only bought it because they gave me a bonus at work and I had that extra money, but other than that this controller is an irrational purchase and I suggest you avoid it if you want long term durability. Also, it has a material on the back grip that gets full of grease and air bubbles can appear, and I have to be cleaning it from time to time because it stays shiny from the grease on my hands. Everything else works very well but the main problem is the drift and that back part. I would suggest you modify the joysticks and replace the back part of the controller if you already have it or are thinking about buying it.

love the controller! i have all three colors. in my opinion, overall, the dualsense edge is the greatest controller of all time. only reason i didn’t give this specific one 5 stars is because for some reason with this new midnight black release there was something wrong with the triggers; either one of the triggers were making a clicking sound when the triggers were set to their their shortest setting, or when i pulled them back all the way, one of the triggers would stop earlier than the other one. i had to go back to best buy and exchange it for a new one multiple times, after the 4th exchange i finally got one that was close enough to a perfectly functioning dualsense edge like my other ones. this is an ideal controller, just make sure both the triggers feel and sound the same when you use them.
