Fuller feel in the hands. The back buttons are a nice feature. Details throughout controller. Easy to customize and set the controller to your preferences with button layout and analog stuck motions. Maybe the only downside is battery life is shorter compared to the original controller but with the amount of features this controller has it makes sense. Braided usb cord. Case for the controller. Overall a great buy.

Pro-Level Controller With Some Trade-Offs

The DualSense Edge feels premium and plays like a dream. Custom profiles, swappable sticks, and back buttons give it a pro-level edge. Battery life is shorter than the standard controller, but the features make up for it. Pricey, but worth it if you’re serious about gaming.

DualSense Edge left me presently surprised

Right out of the gate the DualSense Edge surprised me with its feel in the hand. The grip is comfortable and slippy-resistant, and when you’re in the heat of a session you notice the difference. On this front, it builds on the solid base of the original DualSense, but takes it up a notch. I found myself more relaxed during longer play sessions. Fewer hand-itches, less wrist fatigue, more confidence in my inputs. What sets this controller apart are the features geared toward serious play. Swappable stick modules, magnetic and lever rear paddles, and trigger hair-locks give you tools to tailor the controller to your style. For example: you can shorten trigger travel for faster firing in shooters, or swap stick types for more “snappy” analog response. The PS5 (and PC) integration is smooth — you can program multiple profiles (ideal for switching between FPS, platformer, and racing setups) and flip between them mid-game. The software is straightforward, which means you spend less time fiddling and more time playing. In my time with the controller, the benefit of the above customization became tangible. In competitive matches I felt sharper: faster trigger pulls, less “dead zone” in analogs, the rear paddles allowing actions (jump, crouch, reload) without lifting thumbs from sticks. The “pro” feeling is real.
No product is perfect, and the DualSense Edge has a few areas where you may need to temper expectations:
Battery life: While fine for many, wireless sessions tend to run ~5-8 hours depending on vibration/haptics usage. This is a step down from some peers.
Weight: It has a heftier feel (because of the added features), so if you prefer ultra-light controllers you may notice it.
Rear paddle layout: Some competitive-style gamepads offer more paddles or different configurations; the Edge has solid offerings, but it’s not “every possible configuration.”

Overall, I really like this controller. I’m used to controllers from Scuf, or more recently, Cinch Gaming, which are my absolute favorite for competitive gaming and especially FPS games. However, for what this controller can do and what it offers, it’s amazing. Great customizability, easy access to all features, the PS5 software for it is easy to use and adjust to your looking, and the look and feel of the controller is immaculate. I’m a huge fan of the dualsense already and to have this is definitely an upgrade. While I don’t really use it for my competitive gaming, just because I prefer much lighter controllers (without the vibrations installed), I have been using it for all my favorite single-player games and it does wonders. It’s an expensive controller, but you get the premium quality build and feel that is well worth the cost. If you’re hesitant like I was of buying it, do yourself a favor and get it. You won’t regret it.

I bought the new black color the day it came out. I took back my white dual sense edge since i had the Best Buy 2 year replacement warranty. They moved the position of the paddles on the back to be more comfortable and fit your hand better. Its a game changer. I had a scuf envision pro and it got stick drift within 4 months. My 1st dual sense edge lasted 18 months and never got stick drift. The only thing wrong with it was the battery charging was intermittent so i took it back and got the new black one. Worth the money. I mainly play COD on PC and it works perfect. I do have a PS5 also so i was able to plug it in to that and update the software and map the buttons to my liking. The button map xfers over to pc which is awesome! If you purchase it make sure to get the extended warranty!

Premium Feel and Excellent Customization

I recently purchased the Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller (Midnight Black), and it’s easily one of the best controllers I’ve ever used. The build quality feels solid and premium, and the matte black finish gives it a sleek, professional look.
What really stands out are the customization options — being able to remap buttons, adjust trigger sensitivity, and swap out the back paddles adds a whole new level of control. The adjustable stick modules are a great feature too, especially for competitive gaming or long sessions.
The controller feels very comfortable to hold, with the same adaptive triggers and haptic feedback that make the DualSense so immersive. Battery life is decent, and the included carrying case with the charging cable is a nice touch.
Overall, the DualSense Edge delivers both performance and style — it’s definitely worth it if you want a high-end controller that can be tailored to your play style.

I recently had a scuf ps5 controller and had got stick drift within maybe 4 to 5 months. I contact them asking if my warranty is still vaild, they said no. That i would have to oay 70$ plus shipping for them to fix so i decided to purchase the Duel Sense Edge and wow i am enjoying it. I have had it for for 2 and half weeks and its been amazing. Controller and the case it comes in feels top notch premium. Comes with two different types of paddles to make it fit and feel most comfortable to you. And the fact if i ever do get stick drift i can just replace the stick moduel. Which i already purchased two for when that time comes. This controller is 10x better than my scuf ps5 controller by a longshot. If you have any doubts you always have like a 15 return policy or can pay for a 45 or 60 day.

Best Gaming Controller

The DualSense Edge is hands down one of the best controllers I’ve ever used. It takes everything that makes the original DualSense great—like adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and comfort—and adds a whole new level of customization. The ability to swap out stick modules, adjust trigger lengths, and remap buttons on the fly gives me full control over how I play. The back buttons are responsive and feel natural, making competitive gaming smoother and faster.
The build quality is excellent, with a premium feel that matches the price point. I also love the profiles feature, which lets me save different control setups for different games and switch between them instantly. It feels like having multiple controllers in one.
If you’re serious about gaming and want a controller that adapts to you instead of the other way around, the DualSense Edge is worth every penny. It’s not just a controller—it’s an upgrade to the way you experience your games.

They picked the perfect name for this device, it gives you an absolute edge over the competition when implemented correctly for each game. Very premium feel shortly put; SONY’s answer to the elite series controller. Genuinely makes gaming more fun and focused (make sure you check the trigger settings on each individual game outside of the system settings. This is my second one and the adaptive triggers never worked for my first one because I hadn’t tweaked the settings for the individual settings.)

love the controller! i have all three colors. in my opinion, overall, the dualsense edge is the greatest controller of all time. only reason i didn’t give this specific one 5 stars is because for some reason with this new midnight black release there was something wrong with the triggers; either one of the triggers were making a clicking sound when the triggers were set to their their shortest setting, or when i pulled them back all the way, one of the triggers would stop earlier than the other one. i had to go back to best buy and exchange it for a new one multiple times, after the 4th exchange i finally got one that was close enough to a perfectly functioning dualsense edge like my other ones. this is an ideal controller, just make sure both the triggers feel and sound the same when you use them.

My experience with the DualSense Edge

My experience with the DualSense Edge is short, like a month short but so far I can definitely see myself using this every day. I've used it for Warzone and Death Stranding 2. The controller feels great in my hand and having the customization options is a game changer for me. I have two previous DualSense controllers that still work but have the dreaded stick drift. I saw this on sale and the added $10 off with my chase points, this came out to almost $8 dollars out of pocket. If you are frequently playing video games, have stick drift issues and find this controller on a good deal, pick it up. But if you don't, I'd say wait or pass on it. Spending $200 ok n a controller in this day and age can break the bank. But it's a great controller none the less.

This was one of my best purchases this year. I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on one of these controllers but just never did. Finally got tired of stick drift and having spend $70 on another controller might as well go ahead and spend the $200 on a better quality controller and if stick drift does occur I can just spend 20 bucks on a analog switch Sonys makes pacifically for this controller. Loving it so far!
