Best lens I have owned

The sharpness is out of this world even at wide open aperture. It has silky smooth bokeh. It is light for such a high quality lens. My best lens so far.

Sony 50mm GM review

This 50mm lens, especially this G-Master series, it is an absolute amazing purchase. I say this because of multiple reason; 1 because of its low light capabilities, 2 because of its shallow depth of field… super bokeh, and 3 because of the amazing quality it produces. For the price, you can not go wrong, and you will not regret this lens. 10/10 for both video and photo.

Best Sony Prime Lens

It is so small and compact for such a high quality lens. This thing rarely comes off of my camera. The 50mm focal length is a must have for every photographer. I used to keep the 85mm in my camera, but not anymore. I love the fact that sony came down on the price compared to the previous versions of the 50mm gm. Now it makes more sense to just go GM instead of Sigma.

Love this lens

Have had a couple third party lenses and they (to my eye) are not as sharp, as quick to focus or color as realistic. Have several G Master and G Master II lenses. This Sony 50mm 1.4 GM is the sharpest of all of them. I sold my Sony 50mm 1.2 GM as this lens is smaller, easier to carry around and sharper (again to my eye). My all time favorite lens love it!

What GM Lens Are Known For

Great ergonomics, clear, crisp shots, and fast autofocus. It's a pretty good price, too. It's the perfect nifty-fifty. Love me some GM lenses!

I love the neutral color density with this lense. Sigma leans just a bit further to warm with a brown color cast that I don't want to have to mess with correcting all the time.
