Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from canon to Sony in hopes the hype train was right however I am back to Canon with the r6 as Sony features just weren't enough. the things you lack in Sony are in Canon, trust me, the stabilization is a different game, the IS in sony is a joke. Worth looking into. This lens was used for many weddings but I am happy when I saw I gave it away on offer up just to get rid of it.

Great for photos far away

Super sharp, great portrait lens

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought the Sony FE 50mm F1.8 lens, I returned it as the autofocus was slow and very noisy. This lens is great, very fast autofocus and silent. Great portrait lens, F1.8 ape rapture is great for low light situations or when you need a fast shutter speed to freeze action. Great bokeh for blurred backgrounds. Considering other portrait lenses for Sony full frame are several hundred more or even twice to three times the price, this lens is an incredible value. Highly recommended.
