Bought this for my mother-in-law. May not be the latest and greatest, but for most individuals, this is all, if not more than you need. Most people don't have 4K, 3D, etc. This streams content, so you don't need a firestick, roku, etc. In that sense, it's two gifts in one to quickly bring someone up to speed for most technology and applications. Even if they have a non-smart TV, your good to go. Let's not forget the affordable price.

After using the system for a few months and making sure I have at least 20 hours, I can say it is a solid unit. The Disk Drive plays exactly as expected, and the smart part of the system works well. It's not super fast, but it does the job. 2 downsides include the inability to use the eject button if you're using an app, and the lack of RCA outputs so you can hook it up to an older audio system. Neither of those make or break the system.

Works great! Bought 2 of these blue ray and love them. Smooth hook up and great for WiFi to watch Netflix and you tube, Hulu, amazon, plus they have apps to watch other programming (some free some not).I was skeptical about the refurbished but got the repair plan for both for piece if mind.

Haven’t had it for long but so far it’s been good. Pretty easy to set up, connected easily to the WiFi and can’t tell it’s refurbished if I didn’t know any better I’d say it’s brand new.

This was very easy to install and very easy to use. Love that it is a smart Blu-ray and for the price you can not beat it.

Small, compact - works without any problems. Just as good as a brand new one. But a better price!

I bought this so my dad could stream movies on Netflix as well as watching old DVD's he has. It does a great job up-scaling the DVDs. Streams great and is easy to use.

This blu Ray player was refurbished and was so easy to set up even though no instructions were included. Works great will buy another for the main tv room!

I spent a lot of time researching what dvd player I wanted. This was the one. It was supposed to come with a remote and 2 batteries. These were not included. Luckily I had an amazing customer service rep who went over and above to get me one. I had to spend 19.00 to buy it from an outside vendor. I was reimbursed for this. My dvd player only cost me around 40.00 refurbished. I am so sad that I cannot remember her name because she deserves special kudos! I am grateful that I am grateful I was treated like someone that mattered.

Bought this refurb unit, set up was a breeze. Connects wirelessly, love the extra Apps included.

It works fine for DVDs/Blue Rays. It's a little slow starting up streaming apps, but doesn't have a problem once they apps are started (there aren't buffering issues).

Easy set up even without instructions since it was refurbished. DVDs play well and the Wifi to watch Netflix, Hulu etc, is super fast compared to my old one. However, most times to turn it off you have to unplug it as it will not turn off with the remote or on the box itself. Will have to return as I have read other reviews stating the same.

This Blu-ray player works pretty well. I haven't had any problems with it.

Great picture and easy set-up on this Blu-ray player. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and other common streaming service access pre-programed. Good value!

I bought this for my husband and wasn’t too sure about a refurbished product but after reading reviews and talking to a savvy electronic tech, the Sony player works great, no problems...Best buy I’ve made.

This unit works great. I have had it for a while now, and would never know it was refurbished. Not only do blu-rays play very well, but the Wi-fi apps work even better than those on my Firestick. Very happy with this unit.

Blue Ray player and DVD player aspects work great!! The streaming is iffy. I frequently get booted off Netflix or Hulu. Long delays between pushing a button and it doing the action (example: hit pause... 30 seconds later it'll eventually pause... and sometimes not stay paused)
