Sound problem

The sound bar keeps switching from tv speakers to sound bar and back again. When this happens the tv goes black! This happens several times a day! Now this morning the sound went out completely and we had to restart the system to get sound!

Posted .Hi JohnE, we're sorry to hear that you have an issue with your Sony unit. Please make sure that the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the TV and the sound bar. Use the HDMI ARC/eARC port on both devices if available. Restart both the TV and the sound bar. You can do this by unplugging them from the power source for a few minutes and then plugging them back in. Please follow this link for more details:

I was promised to return in 7 to 10 days. It has been over two weeks and nothing has come back into my account. In other words, you took my money and you took your product back, and you kept both. I have tried to call so many times, it’s ridiculous. It’s really hard to get through to a person, and when I do, they say it’s gonna be returned. But it’s not returned.

Works as expected

The bass sounds surprisingly deep considering it’s an internal subwoofer within this unit. Sounds really good for the basic model that it is and the price is right.

No better than build in TV speaker sound.

I'm not sure any 3.1 soundbar is really great, but this one I was disappointed in for sure. Ended up with a 5.1.1 that I'm super happy with.

Only complaint is the sound level has to be way higher with this system than with the regular tv prior to adding the sound bar. Like 3 or 4 times higher.
