The product is great. It work for every dvd I have and videos games as well. Money well spent.

The CD cartridge is a bit on the loud side, and it's also not intuitive with the way you need to face the media side of the CD... you face the media side AWAY from the body of your PS5. Though, there's been no other hiccups with this device.

Expensive but works well, easy to install, looks good. Quieter than the disc drive on the original ps5. Should have been included with ps5 pro.

I bought tge "wrong" playstation as my son, smartly, wanted to be able to trade in games. I was so mad at myself so i searched if there was a way to rig up a reader and found ebay listings for this item! Needless to say i was super relieved. Super easy to install once you get the stupid keys to get the cover off and it looks like it came thag way. Only issue is now it doesn't fit in the cooling base i boyght but he puts it on urs shde due to space anyways so i was just dumb for buying the base lol

Managed to snag one before the sclapers got to it. Installation is very simple. It's just as easy to remove as well. I've had no issues with it.

The stock on these as most know has been abysmal to say the least. It looks like that’s not the case anymore as they’ve been in stock for at least a week now. That’s good! The player is easy to install and works as intended. Cheaper this route then getting a dedicated player for 4k movies. The only thing is I don’t think it supports DV.

Back in the days of PS3, I actually had to replace two different bluray drives and the process was very involved. Sony has really upped the repair capability and upgradability of the PS5 with this build. This disc drive can be used to either replace a faulty slim disc drive, or to add disc functionality to the digital version. If you have the SLIM version of the digital only PS5, and want to be able to play discs, I highly recommend this - It's very easy to install. And if you don't have a PS5 and want to purchase one, make sure to buy the slim version as it provides you with this simple repair / upgrade method.

The only downside is the added bulk, but if you want the flexibility of both digital and disc games, it’s definitely worth it. Solid accessory for expanding your PS5’s capabilities!

Thankfully, I got this at a discounted price. Still, it wasn’t cheap and while I am enjoying the PS5 Pro, for that price it should have come with this disc drive! The reason for the high marks is that I have had no problems with the product itself so far. I much prefer physical media, and this way I can play older games! By that measure, I works well.

Design is slick, i tegrates flawlessly with the unit. Easy to install and worked instantly. And pretty cheap too considering the cash grab for most things PS…happy with it and fulfills a need.
