It works and does as it is supposed to. I believe that Sony should have included this with the Pro. Anyway one thing I will say is if you upgrade to one be careful with installation. There is a metal peg next to the connector and mine was bent. Had I not seen this I would have thought I didn't know how to install it.

DISC Drive PS5

It also comes with all you need and is plug and play.

PS5 Pro Disc Drive

Installation was quick and easy. This is a must have for those that replay PS4 games and folks that like to have the tangible disc in lieu of digital. It should be a note that this was installed on a PlayStation 5 Pro.

Few Hiccups

Though, there's been no other hiccups with this device.

Incorrectly listed works for pro as well

But it is entirely necessary for a physical ps4/ps5 library. Thos works for the pro and diskless slim sustems. Rated 4 stars because it is a needless add on for 80 percent of systems offered.
