Works on the PS5 PS5Pro slim or digital consoles and really doesn't increase the console footprint much. For me, the disc drive was a necessity for the PS5 Pro as I have a lot of discs for PS4 and above games. My PS5 was the disc version and I bumped storage, so the Pro needed this upgrade. No issues since installation.

You have to replace the PS5 or get it repaired with the digital PS5 and having a hard drive external if you have any problems you just gotta replace the hard drive not the whole PS5.
