Useless on ps5. They sound good but you can’t change audio settings and they’re average at their price point

Mic stopped working

Mic stopped working 2 weeks after using, couldnt return it because it was a christmas gift purchased in october.
Hi JohnC, we are truly sorry to hear the the microphone of your Sony - INZONE H9 headsets stopped working, this is not the experience we want you to have, here are some useful steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem: 1- Make sure your headset is up to date using the INZONE Hub software that you can download on your computer. 2- Connect the headset to different devices to make sure it is not the device that is restricting the mic. 3- Do a microphone test through the INZONE Hub, and also try to adjust the mic volume to be higher. 4- Initialize the headset to restore factory settings, this operation resets volume settings, etc. to the factory settings, and deletes all pairing information, you can do this following the instructions here: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/295960/v1/en/contents/TP1000670454.html If the issue persists after these steps do not hesitate to contact us through this link: https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=headphones Thanks for choosing Sony. Updates are pain in the butt, tried 3 different computers but i still cant update it. Quality of the headphones is a different story though. Very high quality.
You can connect INZONE H9 Headset to your PC via the supplied USB transceiver, simply slide the switch of the USB transceiver to PC and establish a connection. If the device does not recognize the headset microphone, make sure the slide switch of the USB transceiver is set correctly. Connect the USB transceiver directly to the computer or PS5, and not via a USB hub.

These are very comfortable headphones, my only issue with them are the sound on the PS5. You can’t really adjust the EQ.

Mic is not as good as other headsets, I returned these and got myself the Steel series Nova Pro.
Thank you for the review.It is unfortunate that the unit had to be returned. We recommend using the INZONE Hub to adjust the microphone volume of the headphones. Thank you for sharing your experience and we hope you will consider Sony again in a future purchase.

The quality is great but the value isn’t. I have the Apple $500 headphones but these didn’t get close in sound quality so I returned them. Not with it IMHO

Felt a bit cheap, for $300 it was a bit crappy. Sadly the battery wouldn’t hold charge so I had to return it. I don’t think I would buy another tho.

I have owned these for years. They were good at first, but an issue came up that Sony support, factory resetting, and upgrading couldn’t fix. Everything would just become highly distorted or cut out entirely. I loved their Bluetooth headphones so i expected similar quality, but that’s not what i got out of these. Seriously, buy anything else.

I bought these for my boyfriend and he loves them. Definitely a hefty price tag for headphones but for the noise cancelling and sound quality I believe its worth it.

Don't bother lol. It feels super plasticity. It feels like a cheap headset for the price. You cant control anything with your ps5 controller. Look at the black shark v2 pro or the alienware headset. Way cheaper and honestly shockingly good metal quality. Superior sound quality

I have been a Call of Duty player since 2008. I pre-ordered these headsets in great anticipation because they were made for the PS5 of which I have 2 of. I have used a variety of headsets including the Turtle Beach Elite 800 and the Astro a50s. Compared to the Astros the Sony H9 are absolute garbage. They make you think the sound is going to be so great. They make you download an app that has you take a picture of each one of you ears as part of the setup. Within 30 minutes of completing the setup and jumping off into several games of Cold War I knew the headsets were worthless for playing COD and I am returning them. I setup a custom game and found I could only hear footsteps at half the range I could with the Astros. In the custom game the account on the second PS5 had no dead silence on and I was totally shocked how much further away I could hear footsteps with the Astro a50s. So if you play COD don't waste your money on the H9s. And yes I am extremely sure they were set up correctly. I would rate the H9s as the worst headset I have ever had. They will be the first ones I have ever returned.

To experience 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming, this feature must be turned on while using the INZONE Hub PC software. Make sure you also setup the Spatial Sound Personalization correctly.
After completing the INZONE Hub software setup, other settings can also work when the software isn't running, such as when the headphones are connected to the PlayStation®5 or a Bluetooth® device.

Feels cheap

For thr price, these feel very cheap. I understand they want a lightweight head set to offset fatigue of the wearer, but these took it too far. The audio and microphone was meh as well. I returned them and picked up the new Turtle Beach Stealth Pro. Hands down a far superior product for about the same price.
