Great sounding earbuds but difficult to control

They didn't fit me quite right they were a little smaller than I needed even with the largest size. The sound was really great and all the features of the app if you are familiar with the Sony app they lead the way in some of the functionality. What did not work great for me was getting the wide area tap to work consistently. Basically you tap on the side of your face near your ear and not the earbud. In my case it was 18 degrees out and I was surprised that it worked at all with gloves on inside my car so maybe it was a heat issue. I do have the fit open earbuds and the wide area tap works fine at least with normal temperatures. Maybe this will get fixed in software. If the fit was a little better I would probably have kept them to see if they improved over time. Your fit and tap controls might work better. You might want to consider the cheaper 700s or more expensive xm5s also great Sony earbuds.

Regarding the fit, we understand that comfort is crucial, and we offer various sizes to accommodate different ear shapes. However, it seems that the largest size did not meet your needs. We appreciate your suggestion and will consider it for future improvements.
As for the wide area tap issue, it is possible that extreme temperatures may affect its performance. We recommend trying the feature in a warmer environment to see if it improves. Additionally, we are continuously working on software updates to enhance our products' functionality, and your feedback will be valuable in this process.
We hope you consider trying our other truly Wireless Noise Canceling In-Ear models or the more advanced WF-1000XM5, which also offer great features and might better suit your preferences.

Great sound for price

In a busy gym the S would actually drop out frequently. However, for a "sport" headphone these do pop out sometimes during workout.

We’re sorry to hear they sometimes pop out during your workouts, though. To ensure optimal performance, as well as to obtain the best fit and prevent the headset from falling out, change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different. Thanks for choosing Sony! -Jess

I am always understood and I can always hear, even with wind and background noise. Definitely the best for working out and excellent sound quality. The battery life isn't bad but I always want more if it's less than 8 hrs
