Heavy earrings will prevent these from fitting.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When they fit, they aren't bad. Unfortunately I wear weighted gauged earrings. That extra tugging on my earlobes means these buds will never fit my ears. The sound is good, and these do exactly what they advertise. The only alternatives are openfits by shokz, which don't fit in my pockets. I like the concept so I can wear these at work and be aware of what's going on. Passthrough on other ear buds picks up wind and other unwanted noise. But this is what I'm not a fan of with Sony headphones: you need to download fourth party apps to get the best sound stage. You can't get all the sound customization without downloading these apps. Such ideas made sense when Sony's were the best of the best and they had the title and following to do such things. Now it's just annoying really. The Sony app should give me the control I want on these headphones and make updates on the device easier. Don't make me download another app or two to make it work. If you update these headphones they get multipoint, which is lovely and great. The controls are easy and done well. It's the fit and the app that made me knock it down to two stars. The theory of these are great. The application and execution are where these failed. It's unfortunately a product I really wanted to like too. Disappointed.

Posted .Hi Studiotk4,
While were glad that you like the incredible audio, we're sorry to hear you are having problems with the LinkBuds, particularly with the fit. The LinkBuds may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears. We also understand that not everyone likes the Sony headphones connect app and we appreciate your feedback. You can use them without downloading the Sony headphones connect app, however, to get the most out of your LinkBuds, downloading the Sony Headphones Connect App allows you to customize audio settings with your headphones.
Check the Headphones Connect Help Guide for more details on what the app can do: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/linkbuds/v1/en/contents/TP1000447718.html
Using these open-ear headphones with weighted gauged earrings might interfere depending on the size of the stretched ears or gauge weights. Good thing is that these headphones comes with multiple fitting supporters that fits your ears better and feel more comfortable. The size of the left and right fitting supporters may be different. We recommend starting with the larger sizes and working your way down to the smaller sizes until you find the best fit. Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears. We have a recommended way of wearing these open-ear headphones. Please make sure to follow the guide from these links:

Good value. Over shadowed by better, newer model
|Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not getting a 5 star because my left earbud got blown when I'm not aware of any instance of stressing them out, so make sure to keep them below 70%. Good quality earbuds that offer no seal but good sound quality. Would suggest using this if you need to be in a place where people talk to you often but you still want to listen to music. If the sale is right get the Linkbuds S instead in my opinion.

Solid effort but not great .
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was really excited for a new form factor in headphones. But they are barely loud enough for use out side. They also were not very confortsble i always felt like inhad them wrong. But they did not ever fall out. They felt like the old sony turbo headphones they used to make with walkman so many years ago. The sound was also very nice with mid and high frequency but lacking in bass by alot. But walking even out side the sound could not keep up even with a passing car.

Posted .Hi XgeeioX, we are sorry to hear that the WFL900 did not meet all of your expectations when it comes to sound quality and comfort. To get the best comfort fit for you, please try a different fitting supporter to get a more comfortable fit. Also, please check our help guide link on how to find a more comfort fit https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/linkbuds/v1/en/index.html.
Please note that the size of the left and right fitting supporters may be different. If the headset is not worn properly in your ears you may not obtain the correct sound qualities or call performance. If the part of the headset where sound is output is not oriented correctly toward the ear canal, the sound quality may sound poor or the left and right sound localization may sound misaligned.

Earbuds with an open back feel.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sounding Bluetooth earbuds. How much benefit the holes themselves provide is hard to say, but the LinkBuds certainly provide a similar audio feel to open back headphones. After a year and a half of use, the left earbud battery is unable to hold a charge. It's past warranty so I'll have to purchase a replacement which I'm willing to do since I like them enough. But if the battery fails again, that may be the last time.

A gimmick done right
|Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Open back in ear headphones sound really strange at first, but these do what i want the active audio passthrough to do on my Pixel Buds Pro. Great sudio quality with the added benefit of hearing my surroundings is absolutely blessed! The only reason i give it 4/5 stars is because of the fit and feel. They fit in the ears okay, but they feel like plastic resting in your ear. Depending on who you are, you wont notice it as much.

We're happy to know you like the open-ring design, amazing audio, and great features of these LinkBuds. We value your feedback regarding the fit and feel of the unit. The LinkBuds comes with different sizes of fitting supporter to suit different ear shapes. You can try to change the fitting supporters to another size that fits your ears better and feel more comfortable. The LinkBuds are not only designed to be stylish but also with the environment in mind, using recycled plastic materials for aesthetic parts and plastic-free packaging. The LinkBuds use recycled plastic materials from automobile parts (Coating and adhesive materials excluded).
Stay connected and aware to people and places in everyday life, without ever having to pause your personal soundtrack. LinkBuds bridge your daily life and the entertainment you love, wherever you go, whatever you do. Thank you for choosing Sony! -Jess

Unique, but worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unique design makes for a pleasant experience. Setup was easy, buds are comfortable and secure after some trial and error with the provided interchangeable mold sizes. Good sound, not the best considering their design, but that's the trade off for being able to be more present in you surroundings. Good battery life, though wireless charging for the case would be nice, but not a deal breaker. Do love the compact size of the case, though.

Not very comfortable.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really interesting design, these are great if you need to be aware of your surroundings while using. Sound quality is great, but lows suffer due to the design of the drivers. The tap anywhere feature is neat but can be triggered on accident easily and I find myself having it off. They are not very comfortable at all and I can’t wear them for long.

Posted .Hi Disappointed,
We're sorry to hear you've been running into some issues, particularly with the headset reacts incorrectly or works unintentionally. Wide area tap is a function that detects vibration around the ears with the acceleration sensors that are built into the headset and determines the tap operations. Therefore, it may be erroneously detected as tapped by actions such as putting on or taking off surgical masks or glasses, and chewing. If the headset often does not operate correctly, this may be improved by using the “Sony Headphones Connect” app to turn wide area tap off and switch to headset tap instead.
The all-new Sony LinkBuds feature a comfortable open-ring design that naturally blends ambient sound with digital sound. The LinkBuds may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
• If you feel the size of the fitting supporters does not fit your ears, change the fitting supporters to another size that fits your ears better.
• After attaching the fitting supporter, check that there is no movement on the LinkBuds. (Shake your head back and forth.)
Note: If they fall off or move in your ears when you shake your head, select a different size. The best fitting supporter may be different for each ear.
• If you wear the headset for a long time, your ears may start hurting. Use the headset while taking breaks periodically.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased.. exchanged within the hour. Just want for me.. earbuds had 42 & 46 % charge when i opened them for the 1st time. After initial set up of app and fitting of earbuds within 30min there was only 19% charge left. The fit wasn't comfortable as i thought..i heard more ambient noise than music.. unless at max volume.. my wife could hear them from a few feet away. I am by no means a pro when it comes to earbuds but these just aren't for me

Posted .Hi there,
Thank you for your review.
We are really sorry if the battery life(out of the box) and fit of our WF-L900 LinkBuds didn't live up to your expectations- and that it had to be returned. This is definitely not news we'd like to hear from you.
For the battery life, if the linkbuds is not used for a long time, the available operating hours may be reduced. This is not a malfunction and is part of the normal operation of the headphones. Thus, we always recommend to fully charge the headphones after getting them out of the box so you can use them up to 5.5 hours. However, the usage hours may be different depending on the settings for the headset functions and usage conditions.

These LinkBuds combine a shape that perfectly matches the human ear with an ergonomic design for a more stable fit. For optimum performance, comfort, and to keep the LinkBuds from falling out, we always recommend following the steps on this article:

We really appreciate you & your feedback, and we are hoping that you will consider Sony again on your future purchase.

Cool design, uncomfortable in ear and low sound
||Posted . They fit pretty well and have different fittings but the worst thing is that the plastic cover that sits against your ear will hurt it feels like it cuts your ear. Battery life is a joke on a full charge overall wouldn't recommend these

Posted .Hi Thoryl,
While we're glad that you like the good sound quality and fit of the unit, we're so sorry to hear if an earache occurs when putting on our WF-L900 LinkBuds and the available operating time is short or the battery power does not last long. This is definitely not the customer experience we want you to have. We recommend to try the following if an earache occurs:
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
• If you feel the size of the fitting supporters does not fit your ears, change the fitting supporters to another size that fits your ears better.
• If you wear the headset for a long time, your ears may start hurting. Use the headset while taking breaks periodically.
For reasons why your ears may hurt when putting on or wearing headphones, you may also find this article helpful: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/wireless-headphones-bluetooth-headphones/wf-l900/articles/00015243
For available operating time of the unit, depending on the settings for the headset functions and usage conditions, the speed of energy consumption for the rechargeable battery may vary between the left and right units. However, this is not a malfunction. For your reference, you may check this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/linkbuds/v1/en/contents/TP1000765297.html

A lot of give and take for the Linkbuds.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After getting used to the placement in the ear, I like the fit but will fall out with a lot of movement or naturally fall out over time. I like the ability to hear around you, but the trade off is a lack of low end bass. The tap features are cool, but will activate unintentionally while talking or eating. Limited functionality for tap settings. Right bud failed after 8 months.

Posted .Hi Jerry,
While we're delighted you like most of the functions, especially the open-ring design, we're sorry to learn if they tend to move in your ears with a lot of movement causing them to fall out and the right earbud doesn't work properly. The tap detection function, Bluetooth pairing, or sound quality can be affected if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears. They may also fall out or feel uncomfortable during use.
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
• Select a different size fitting supporter and align the protruding part of the LinkBud with the cutout on the fitting supporter. Make sure to insert the fitting supporter completely.
• After attaching the fitting supporter, check that there is no movement on the LinkBuds. (Shake your head back and forth.)
Note: If they fall off or move in your ears when you shake your head, select a different size. The best fitting supporter may be different for each ear.
We do have some good information on how to change the fitting supporters and how to wear the headset in your ears here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/wireless-headphones-bluetooth-headphones/wf-l900/articles/00275647

They sound fantastic considering how small and light they are. Very comfortable. Its nice to be able to walk outside or go on a hike and just have background music but still be able to hear everything else normally. Obviously other headphones can sound better but these have a different goal in mind. Not a ton of bass but again, they are non sealing earbuds... they have what youd expect them to have

Its good and then it’s bad.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had these for nearly a year. I use them everyday. I do like that they have a lot of software updates, audio eq options and perks of pausing when talking and auto playing when I stop. They have decent battery life. I wish they had wireless charging! Anyways, I use them on campus a lot and sometimes get irritated that I can still hear conversations when I want to listen to my recorded lectures. I noticed that after about 7 months the quality started to decline. I thought it may be a build up of earwax and noticed the tiny pin holes were clogged. I cleaned them and noticed no difference in audio quality. After a month from cleaning the audio started to crack and pop while listening to music and not at a high volume. I reset the earbuds and contacted Sony. I’m not sending them for replacement as they are inside the year warranty. If you like to hear outside your bubble these are perfect. If you don’t mind having to charge them wired that’s great too. The updates and other software perks make the earbuds very competitive, but if you want that boom bass these aren’t for you. Great for listening to audiobooks recorded lectures, and music at reasonable volume.

These do not include wireless charging and noise canceling feature. However, they do feature a comfortable open-ring design that naturally blends ambient sound with digital sound and advanced features like Wide Area Tap, Adaptive Volume Control, Speak to Chat, Control with your voice, and more. I just had to get them!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony Linkbuds are awesome! I think people that leave less than 4 or 5 star reviews are not happy because they don't quite fully understand what they are for. These are not to be used as noise canceling in your ears bass thumping earbuds. These are meant for use at the office or anywhere you still need to be present. I use them at work, home and for studying. Most people never know I have them on. Sony Linkbuds feel light in your ears and in my opinion have a good sound. I hear bass but not as strong as I would hear it in my wf-1000xm4's. They fit in my ears perfectly. There are several sizes of the rubber wings to help them fit. I also find that if I wear the donut shape a little deeper I can drown out a little more outside noise when I don't have to be as present in my surroundings. I'm very happy with my purchase. They allow me to tune out whenever I want but still be available. I almost forgot to mention that the call quality is awesome too, people can hear me very clearly. The only thing I have a problem with is battery life. I wish the battery life was longer but with earbuds battery life is sometimes an issue. I think in the future the battery life will get better. I really feel that the Sony Linkbuds are a good investment as an additional pair of earbuds. These are not noise canceling earbuds so you can't escape the world. As long as you keep this in mind I think you will be very happy with them.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tiny ears, and I quite like them, as do several of my coworkers. My wife hates them, as do several other of my coworkers. Had Airpods but they hurt after a couple hours, these I can wear all day at work. The most position-critical headphones I have ever used. When lined up around your ear canal correctly, they sound excellent. Shift them slightly and they are quiet and muffled. Correct positioning really relies on ear shape so these just won't work for some people.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound, connectivity and function of these earbuds were all great. Could be perfect for your use case
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the open air sound. It’s perfect for calls in the office and has a very supernatural sound to it that I really dig. Music and calls sound like they are coming from within your Brian. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is I have small ears and I find them kind of uncomfortable or difficult to find a comfortable fit, even with plenty of ear piece options I couldn’t quite find one that fits my ears securely, so I believe I may return them.

DO NOT BUY, FELL APART IN 11 MONTHS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am writing this review to warn others about the quality of both these earbuds and that of Sony support. My wife bought these for me for my birthday in September 2023. I recently started noticing that the sound in my left ear bud, then only one I use, was getting quieter and then this weekend, when taking it out of the case, the cover for the speaker completely fell off and the speaker itself fell out of the earbud. I immediately contacted Sony support to see about submitting a warranty claim to have the earbud either repaired or replaced. After explaining the situation and what happened, they determined, without even looking at them that it is physical damage and flat out refused to cover the earbud under warranty. After going back and forth with the support person and offering to send pictures they said they would escalate and someone would call me back the next business day. There "national customer care" called me today and before even hearing anything the lady tells me the same thing the first person told me. She said they determined this because they have never had a report of the speaker cover falling off and therefore it's not possible for it to happen without it being caused my physical damage. Despite telling them that I have never dropped the earbud and the only place it has been is in the case or in my ear, they refused to accept any other logic besides their own, still without even offering to have me ship the earbud into them for them to inspect it for any physical damage. I explained to the woman, if you look really closely you can see it is just a thin strip of adhesive that holds this piece on to the earbud so for it to fail is extremely plausible. Laughably the woman told me that, "While it will not change our decision I could send them pictures for their engineering team to review." Ultimately they refused to even look at them under warranty despite it probably costing them pennies to replace the adhesive. I am severely disappointed in both the quality of these earbuds and mostly the quality of Sony support and their warranty. I will also never believe in any warranty that Sony promises for any of their products ever again and I would caution anyone else considering their products to expect to not have any warranty coverage or have to fight for the warranty coverage. At this point I now have a $200 pair of earbuds that I can only use the right one with and, as for someone who is deaf in their right ear, these earbuds are essentially completely useless to me. Will be going back to my JVC Nearphones which are several years old at this point, were cheaper and when I had a problem with one charging, they actually honored their warranty and sent me a new pair.

Posted .Hi Wayne
We regret to hear the LinkBuds didn't meet your expectations and you're having issues with the Bluetooth connection, fit, and the battery power does not last long. The LinkBuds may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the LinkBuds properly or the ear fitting supporters are not correct for your ears.
• As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headset, try to change the fitting supporters to another size that fits your ears better and feel more comfortable. The size of the left and right fitting supporters may be different.
We recommend starting with the larger sizes and working your way down to the smaller sizes until you find the best fit.
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears.
Please make sure to follow the guide from this link: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/wireless-headphones-bluetooth-headphones/wf-l900/articles/00275647
To ensure you get the best Bluetooth connection, please set the headphones Bluetooth Connection Mode to “Priority on stable connection”.

As for the battery life, if you set some functions on the link below, the available operating time of the battery becomes short.
