I ordered the blu ray player after reading multiple reviews online. I saw some complaints about it taking long to boot up and the child safety feature automatically being enabled and people having problems opening the DVD tray. So far, so good. Boot up is fast enough for me and the product has played the few DVDs I have tried. I connected to my wifi with no problems and streaming is fast with good quality. As a refurbished product, it looks brand new and came in the Sony packaging vs. some third party packaging. Remote was included. I would definitely buy again.

I ordered a refurbished Blu-Ray Player, but it seems Best Buy sent me the wrong item. I got the recycled Blu-Ray Player!

I was looking for a Blu-Ray player to pair with my Epson Home Cinema 1080p projector. My Pioneer DMP-BD903 was failing miserably (netflix streaming looked better than blu-ray). I decided to try out the Sony and man what a gorgeous picture even on a 110" screen! The colors are vibrant, the picture is sharp and now looks better than my HD Netflix streaming form my Roku Premiere. To really see the ability of these you need to watch a recent animation... such as Emoji or something with comparable quality. So why did I give it four stars instead of 5. I was watching videos on the Youtube Channel. Tried to switch over to blu-ray.. and my unit froze. I had to pull the power cord and power it back up.

No complaints other than the device shares some remote codes with my Vizio tv which causes the playback to stop periodically when exiting menus display by the tv. This is really a minor complaint on good product that I've been well satisfied by.

Avoid this piece of garbage at all costs. It has a known defect where after a few months use it will begin to randomly factory reset itself when you go to turn it on making you have to to redo all of your settings and apps. Google it, you'll see others with the same problem. Additionally, Sony like to sunset apps in their connected devices, so Hulu, Playstation Video, Crackle and others no longer even work. What a joke Sony has become.

Bought refurbish with geek plan 2 year warranty. Decent upscale for the money.
