Thank you for telling us about your experience with your SA-RS3S Sony rear speakers. It's wonderful to hear you are enjoying the incredible surround sound of these rear speakers. To ensure sound is being output from both the speaker system and the optional rear speakers, press the IMMERSIVE AE to turn on the Immersive Audio Enhancement function, the speaker system upmixes audio signals, and sound is output from all speakers.
Note: The Rear speaker plays surround sound as part of the multi-channel sound or processed from the 2-channel sound. However, because of the characteristics of the rear speaker, the sound may be low depending on the playback source.
These rear speakers automatically connect to your HT-A7000, HT-A5000, or HT-A3000 soundbar right out of the box, bringing crystal-clear, room-filling sound into any home theater environment. Thank you for your purchase and for the 5-star rating! -Jess
great surrounds

Creates good surround sound from the Sony soundbars. It was built for easy connection to the soundbars. Sony sound calibrations was very easy, soundbar also allows manual equalizer controls on the surround sound speakers.

great rear speakers

Wireless add-on to Sony HTA3000 3.1CH

Had I understood that these speakers do not put out sound during all times (being geared for surround content and content looking to use such rear speakers), I might not have wanted to pay so much for speakers that (seemingly) are hardly heard from. For this reason alone, I feel that the cost is too high. I have enjoyed when these speakers output sound and allowed too much time to pass to return them. Certainly, it is very easy to link/sync these speakers with the sound bar. No one should fear linking them; unless using mixed products.

Great rear speakers for Bravia soundbar

Subtle, but game changing.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly, I will stare that I am using a Sony AH-5000 soundbar with the lower tier subwoofer designed for it. Until I got the rear speakers I was not getting the full surround sound experience. Now I am and I’ll never go back. The speakers are subtle. They don’t repeat the full audio like some surround systems do. Only certain affects or instruments come through. Which is odd at first, but awesome once you get used to. It takes video games to the next level. Because the speakers aren’t overly active sometimes you forget they’re there, then BOOM, grenade blows up behind you and leap up into the air. These are a must have if you’ve already invested in such a quality sound bar.
