I can almost pretend I don’t have neighbors They pair easily with whatever device I’ve tried. The battery power is amazing - I’d been using basic Raycons for a year and I’m not going back. I’ve been able to go to a different floor without losing connectivity. I think the only complaint I have is that I was hoping they’d be a slightly darker shade of green in person - so you bet, the second these bad boys come out in a pine or Kelly, I’m treating myself to a pair for the office (seriously though, great mid-range option).

BASS RICH - ULT Wear

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Positives: •It's like having a portable subwoofer surrounding your head. •Price for the features. •Battery Life with quick charging speed. •Surprisingly good touch functionality/responsiveness. •I like the forest green color I purchased. •Padding around headband and ear cups is comfortable but not excessive. •Foldable design with the convenient travel case. Drawbacks: •On bass boost setting 1, I find a rich range low and mid frequencies, but some of the high notes do not feel crisp. It could be possible to adjust manually with the EQ settings in the Sony app. •I find the headset just a fraction too heavy, causing some discomfort after wearing for >1hr without taking off. Overall - Absolutely worth the money. If your music preferences include any rap, EDM, or generally bass heavy genres, this headset will have your eardrums thumping. 5/5 would buy again. Use them multiple hours a day for work and for getting chores done around the house. Would not use them for workouts as they are too bulky for that. For my personal background: My previous headphones were the Sony WH-CH720N and I was looking to upgrade to something with deeper sound capabilities. I have had multiple sound systems in my life and think any speaker setup is incomplete without a dedicated subwoofer. My main preference for music is electronic music.

Great Sound & Value

But not the best. The bass good. It definitely thumps. Only negative, I wished it would go louder. The battery life I think is longer than advertised. I compared these to the more expensive Beats. IMO SONY is better. With similar sound. I also took notice, Beats have many open box - returns. But Sony doesn’t have open box to buy.

Not Bose but still great

These have pretty good sound quality. Bass is nice. The ANC is pretty good and isolating. My only complaint is the sound doesn’t get loud. Like sometimes I’m okay with blasting the music, but this feels like it has a safety cap on it. I still like it and enjoy it. It’s pretty clean and has a nice look to it as well

The bass is amazing

If you love base with a little distortion from time to time then go with these. If you want less bass and more clarity then go with there other more premium options. I do have one issue with these though, from time to time the touch controls just stop working and I have to either power down and then on again or if I take them off of my head and put them back on that seems to work every now and then as well. I am assuming it may have something to do with the sensor they have built in for detecting whether the headphones are on your ears but I have that feature disabled so I do not know why that would be a factor.

Along with bringing the bass they also supplied impressive noise cancelling and great value for $200 mid range headphones. Noise cancelling was surprisingly effective it can rival some of the premium options out in the market (looking at you Apple) and definitely holds on its own. It even performs similarly to the wh-1000xm4 ( the goat for me) but the Ult Wear imo has better comfort and Bluetooth connection than the outdated wh-1000xm4. The Ult Wear however does not cancel as much noise as the ongoing wh 1000xm5 and recently released wh 1000xm6 ; if noise cancelling is your top priority I would pivot towards the 1000xm6 and not the xm5 because the xm6 have more padding and deeper spacious ear cups than the xm5. The Ult Wear blends the comfort of the xm4 and a sprinkle of the noise cancelling of the xm5 into one and the Ult Wear has the best of two worlds. Bass is obviously the standout of the Ult Wear and since I'm a bass Head I really enjoy listening to music with these . However if you're not a part of the bass Head club don't worry you can still get an enjoyable listening experience without the madness and chaos occurring just don't forget to turn the Ult toggle off thank me later. For the value they offer and given the noise cancelling it can compete with the Ult Wear is a no brainer for someone who wants not only bass but also wants the amenities premium flagships offer the Ult Wear fits what you need for a fraction of the price.

Better than the XM4

I got these on sale for 120 and couldn't be happier. Battery life is great and they fit comfortably. The noise cancellation also works great.

Made me rethink my standard for headphones

The audio pass through mode feels a bit lacking but maybe it's just a function that I'm still getting used to. The battery stays charged for a while even though that isn't my main way of using the headphones, I use the aux option most of the time, but still a massive bonus when I do use them wireless.

Great sound, fine noise cancelling

I love that you can manually adjust the bass, treble, etc., but also that there are a bunch of presets for these for different listening experiences if you're not as experienced with this type of thing (like me). The noise cancelling is fine. It blocks out things like sounds from cars or buses really well but not super great for things like people talking but I guess I would need ear buds or much higher quality headphones for that. The ambient sound option is pretty great at amplifying outside noise if you're in a situation where you need to be able to hear your surroundings. It's also super convenient to have a button on the side to switch between noise cancelling and ambient noise. Overall they do what I need and are pretty comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Love the base that it provides as well as the touch motion on the side of the right headphone. It lasts for around 2 days on a full charge! Which works great for traveling, and I love the case it comes with, very sleek and comfortable to fit in my backpack.

Amazing sound quality, extremely comfortable, and at a lower price end for Sony headphones. Personally I like these way better than the WH1000 XM4s that I used to have. The battery life is super long, and it doesn't take long at all to charge them. Would totally recommend !
