The laptop specifications are amazing. Its super speed. Like most of other users, i also experienced overheating issue. The area between speaker and screen becomes extremely hot. Its gets heated even with normal load. The fan is too noisy and kicks off very often. I am not sure how long the hardware inside will survive this extream heat. It will go back.

This laptop does everything I need it to and I love the flexibility it offers. I use it primarily for database work and run SQL Developer edition with no problems whatsoever. I only have two complaints.
1 - Usually connected to a docking station with a 25" monitor, the fan can get pretty loud when I start doing anything CPU intensive, but I guess that is to be expected for a device this small.
2 - Bottom tends to get very hot if you use it in your lap for more than a couple of tabs in a browser. This is also the case during Con #1 above. I have minimized the issue by getting a stand to provide better airflow.
Overall, this is an excellent laptop and would buy again.

Solid Laptop for Everything

This is my first Windows Laptop in 7 years while using a Mac. Bought it because I needed more power for my job, a Mac would cost too much, and I dislike the new Macbook Pros. My old Mac struggled and crashed often. This handles everything without breaking a sweat, only occasionally starting up the cooling fans.
Windows has improved a lot since the days of Vista and 7. No matter what you have, perhaps with the exception of hardcore gaming or massive computational loads, this will work for it. The windows ink features are promising, especially annotating PDFs. Haven’t used them much, and it does struggle with my bad handwriting. The software can be trained and that seems to help a lot. The included stylus is good, but I may still buy a Wacom one to replace it because I’m not the biggest fan of how writing feels.
To sum things up: This thing will do everything you ask it to do and more. Worth a look whether you are coming from Mac or PC. Windows Ink is a plus, but still somewhat gimmicky. Amazing for the right price, highly recommend.

Very good laptop with configuration that can last years. Small, light, premium materials and decent battery life and includes pen and sleeve for laptop.
So far running good with no issues as identifies by others. Got for a very good deal on thanksgiving. For MSRP there may be others to compare still.

Tablet mode a dissapointment

Plenty of positives. My main negative is that it just isn't a great tablet. Windows 10 just isn't as a nice a tablet OS as windows 8x (or RT) was. The machine is powerful but runs hot so it isn't great to have near your body all the time. The sharp edges also get in the way of great tablet use.
The truth is that I really enjoy tablets and this machine isn't a tablet replacement. For my particular preferences, I wonder if I should have saved some money to invest in a dedicated laptop and a dedicated tablet.
Otherwise the machine seems to be excellent, for the little while that I've used it.

This laptop originally was a bit out of my budget, but got it as a Black Friday door buster. After using it for a month, I would have paid full price. I'm brand loyal to HP to begin with, but this had all the features I believe should be standard, with the backlit keyboard leading the way. My only negative, and only because of my needs, I wish the SSD was bigger. I have a huge music collection, and would more than fill this hard drive. I have to pick and choose what to have with me at any given time.
This thing is fast, light, well constructed, and I would purchase it again at full price.

Amazing laptop. I7 8th gen quad core is crazy. Boots in 5 seconds. Runs everything like a charm. This is no average laptop. This is high end without the fancy graphics card. Who needs if you dont play games.

It's super powerful, really lightweight, and is solidly built. All metal design, probably hard to dent it, although I hope not to test that out. The price is amazing for what you get.
Quad I7 8th gen, 16GB, 512GB SSD, 2.5lbs or so, and over 12 hours of real battery usage. All for $1250 on sale. I had an original Surface Pro 4, (i5/8/256) that I bought the day they first came out. Ended up selling it when they announced the new ones, and chose the HP a few days later. The comparable Surface to the HP specs is over $2000. The Spectre also has a MicroSD card slot and a fingerprint reader. The one I bought is only 19x10, but I'd rather have that and better battery than 4k.
The only dings I'll give the Spectre are that I'm not in love with the touchpad and I need an adapter to do displayport or HDMI. I don't use the touchpad all that often, but it's a little mushy. Most of the time I'm touching the screen with finger or pen, or using my Arc mouse (Didn't sell that, love it too much.), or using it attached to my USB dock. Lack of a separate displayport or HDMI speaks for itself. (Then again, as small as it is, I guess it's not that big a deal. I'm thinking about carrying a WiDi adapter instead of USB C to HDMI, but I haven't noodled that one out yet.)
Other things I love:
PORTS!!! (My biggest complaint about the Surface Pro 4 was only one USB3 port.) Even though I have two USB C Thunderbolt ports, I also get a legacy USB 3.1 port.
Location of the power button. It got moved back, so if you are like me and pick it up near the front, you aren't accidentally sleeping it every time.
I've had it a month, and I can say confidently that it is the best laptop I've ever owned.

Great computer! Great product at a great price. Possesses all of the functionality I need: is lightning fast, can keep open several applications and files at a time (important in my line of work), is lightweight, is a 2-in-1, crystal-clear display, great camera, great speakers--I could go on and on! Just what I was looking for--latest technology--for my work, almost as if I had designed it myself. Extremely pleased.

I bought HP Spectre 360 this Thanksgiving after doing some analysis for specifications and the price which i was paying. This is absolutely value for money laptop and in many ways better than Mac. Its super fast and takes seconds to start. It has both fingerprint and face detection. It is 2-in-1 and can be used in both tablet and laptop mode. Display is bright and true hd gives amazing picture quality.
I have installed Cloudera for Big Data learning along with some other BI tools. I also installed SQL server and i am really amazed by the response i am getting from this laptop. Everything is working fine without making laptop slow, which was the major issue i was facing with my Dell Inspiron. It has dual B&O speaker and Sound quality is good. Battery life is more than 8 hours.
Couple of things which i did not like are the hinge and tablet mode. Hinges are not very firm and when you lift laptop quickly, screen gets tilted. In tablet mode, you can feel the keyboard at the back and if you have keyword skin cover it comes out.
Apart from these two laptop is just fantastic and i will highly recommend it to anyone looking for premium laptop in good price.
Note: In product specification, ports are not mentioned correctly. It has one usb 3.0 port and two thunderbolt Type C ports.
