Blizzard does it again. This game is amazing, very well polished. The story is an absolute blast. The arcade function and multiplayer are the very best in the RTS genre. If you liked the original Starcraft you will love this game. It is even more amazing than the original.

This is the best of the best when it comes to RTS. Blizzard made an amazing game with great graphics and story.

Having been an old StarCraft fan I couldn't wait to check this out but was concerned that with so many years having passed it would seem unrelated and unfamiliar to the original. I was relieved and soon submersed in an even greater advancement of the story. I give it a 10 out of 10 for this but was sad to see that I cannot solo play using all the advancements to the units I became accustomed to. The game now raises your difficulty level after each successful win in the player vs. A.I. games rather than allowing you to choose. I don't like sitting down and having a far too easy game before my moderate one, or knowing I'll be zerg rushed when I feel like a relaxing moderate game of turtling against them. This should be left to the player and rather than dynamic, simply feels controlling. I should point out that I prefer solo play over online for this game.

There was so much time between the original Starcraft and Starcraft 2 that I forgot how much fun they were. This version is very heavily story-driven, with extensive cut-scenes in between missions. You can skip most of them if you want, but I've enjoyed exploring the 4 ship locations and getting the backstory. Each mission has primary objectives you have to complete, plus many have secondary objectives that are optional, plus achievements. Some of the achievements are split in such a way that you cannot get all 3 achievements at the same time (they are on different difficulty levels, or one might emphasize completeness vs. speed, etc.) so if you're obsessed with achievements you'll be replaying the missions over and over. They are enjoyable, so this isn't a bad thing. Aside from the depictions of smoking and drinking in the ship's cantina, the game is more kid friendly than most these days (no bad language, and only cartoony violence which can be scaled down). I don't use the mutiplayer options but it looks like there is a big online community if you're interested in multiplayer.

Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty has a great campaign and is fun to play online

If you enjoyed StarCraft and the Brood War expansion, you're going to like the continuation of the story in Wings of Liberty (and Heart of the Swarm). New units, improved (3D) graphics, an engaging campaign, interesting characters, and new game features make SC2 a lot of fun both as a solo game and against player opponents.

StarCraft fans have a great reason to return to the franchise. Everything from before is there but with spiffy new graphics, mods, and over-the-top story and cut-scenes. New comers will find a pretty good tutorial throughout the first few missions. Clear graphics and abilities let you discriminate between your favorite units and ones that will get you by until you can mine more material. Mining? Yes. That's one thing I don't miss that was in the original StarCraft. But the SCV units that do the resource gathering seem smarter in this game and the interface lets you quickly find idle units so you know you're missing out on potential gathering. I appreciated Warhammer 40,000 and Company of Heroes approach to resource gathering, but I guess it expected in the StarCraft world. Technically the game shines. Battle.NET keeps the game updated. No online issues yet. Scalable graphics to run on older machines. Later battles might get choppy when a lot more units are on screen, but I am still early in the campaign and can't confirm that. Just guessing.

After the release of Starcraft, almost 10 years later the second part is here that will continue the story of Zeratul, Kerrigan and Raynor!!! I think that the prize is worth it, but i would like better a special edition, that it included the Ghost edition of Starcraft. If you play Starcraft, buy it. If you don`t, buy it.

1st game of the series gets you back into the action if you had played the initial Starcraft and Broodwar games. The storyline is further developed and if your system is up to snuff then the graphics are great and the action is more detailed than previously.

Got this out of nostalgia for the first game. Plays the same but with nicer graphics. You might need a good graphics card for it to run at its best. Otherwise, you can adjust the graphics settings to low or medium to get smooth gameplay.

So this was my first time playing Starcraft in over ten years and I've got to say, they've come a long way. This game is amazing. Brings back memories of endless nights of Brood War along with some new twists to the game.

An Amazing game that fans of the first game will love. The game plays very similarily to the first one but with a wide array of new features and units. Amazing story and cinematics as is to be expected from blizzard is always a plus

Great graphics, allot of wasted memory on story videos and cheesy things, game play is solid thought. Wish it was as comprehensive as the first. this one is basically all terrain.

I used to play the original Starcraft as a kid and loved it. Haven't played in years, this was on sale and I checked it out. Feels like the same game except better in every way.

This game has been out for awhile and a lot has already been written about it. This is a very well balanced RTS game with a good single player campaign.

Starcraft II is a fantastic game that follows in its predecessors' footsteps. It features a well-balanced campaign and addictive multiplayer gameplay.

Great to return to the franchise after having not played a StarCraft game in almost a decade. Everything that needed to stay the same, did.

To me starcraft 1 was one of the best strategy games of my time and the 2nd is right up there, very entertaining for a starcraft fan. 9 out of 10

This game was on sale for about $10 when I purchased it. A steal for one of the most fun games to play on both your PC and Mac.

Been waiting nearly 10 years for this release and man does it deliver in spades everything you had hoped from blizzard
