Stardew Valley harkens back to the farming sim style of Harvest Moon and other similar farming sims. But farming isn’t the only option the game includes. You can fish in lakes, streams and oceans, forage from the forests, and mine through dungeons for ores and gems to upgrade your gear. There are multiple villagers, each with their own quirks and responses. The game is featured in an old school 16-but style of graphics that any SNES fan will recognize. There are a few bugs here and there, so save many times and often.

Stardew Valley was a wonderful gem in the rough when it initially released in early 2016, and this conversion to the PS4 makes it easier to play this Harvest Moon-a-like in the bedroom or in other spaces that might not typically house a computer. It controls great with a PS4 pad, too!

This game took everyone by storm on PC, and now the fun comes to PS4. If you love Harvest Moon, you'll love this game. Farm, meet people, and build a life in this game. Before you know it, a quick 15 minute game session will turn into hours, and you won't regret a thing!

This gave has a nostalgic element with newer gameplay and an expanded world/inventory of the classic console games of our childhood. Just buy it. If you’re reading this then you’re into this genre of game (or purchasing for someone who is) and it will be enjoyed.

I got all the achieves on the PC/Steam. I bought this when I saw that it was on sale (with GCU). It's even more relaxing sitting on the couch with a controller than on a PC. It comes with a nice map, and a few changes/updates.

This game has amazing graphics and is good for many styles of playing. You can run through the game quickly for a great story mode, or you can build up your farm, perfectionist-style.

Really addicting game if you love farm simulations. Lots of things to do and fun interactions.

I'm giving this 4 stars because I love the game. I bought the collector's edition for the map and the mini guidebook. However, the mini-guidebook is pretty short in my opinion and could have been a bit more detailed for the price. It also gives an ad to purchase the full guidebook, which is kind of lame. The map is nice, but again - something that could have been more detailed. I think that if you already have the game, hold off on purchasing the collector's edition and just buy the base game and the full guidebook.

I actually remember when this game was in early development. Way back when. I'm sure that the dev doesn't remember me, why should he? But it sure does feel nice to tell my sister, 'hey, I remember talking to that guy about making a fan game YEARS ago!' I had no idea that he would go on to make such an amazing game. It's crazy how addictive it is. The music is really sweet and chirpy, with just a touch of... an almost mystic or fairy tale quality to it. The characters are all really well fleshed out. The game is really responsive. Farming is a breeze, but still feels challenging enough. Marriage is very rewarding, you get two kids out of it too! And I love the fact that my spouse kisses me each morning. It's so darn sweet! [Take notes, Story of Season devs, My farmer needs her hugs and kisses from her hubby. It makes the marriage feel really solid and I feel proud of my little farmer sprite for being such a good wife.] Oh, and I can't forget how cute the little farm animals are. I also love building up my farm and decorating it. The only real fault is that unlike the pc version, I can't mod the game and change the farm house and character portraits. Still, this game is fantastic. You really should buy it.

This game puts Harvest Moon to shame. It's incredibly deep, the graphics are nice, and the soundtrack is amazing. Highly recommended.

My son thoroughly enjoyed this game. He enjoyed the freedom that this game allowed. He was able to play the game differently every time he turned it on if he wanted to.

Just give this game a try and you will be hooked in no time. I know it looks very simple but it is very deep and fun.

After seeing reviews of Starview Valley on line, I decided to buy this game. It is a really nice game and I loved it

I was looking for a game like Harvest Moon to play on the PlayStation 4 and I came across Stardew Valley. The graphics are very retro like the Super Nintendo that I grew up with, making game controlling relatively easy. The game itself is not difficult to learn however there are many more facets and layers to this game than I anticipated. The more time I put into this game the more it surprises me. I thought this game was going to be easy and that I would get bored of it quickly.. however, that is not the case and it is actually quite difficult to get ahead as a farmer you really do need to put in the hard work but it does pay off and you do reap the benefits. So if you're a fan of the Sims and Harvest Moon you will love this game. I highly recommend it and I really love the fact that you can customize things giving gameplay that Personal Touch that makes it even more fun.

It’s truly the next evolution in Harvest Moon. So if you like the quirky farming and town life from that this is definitely a must own.
