When I first got these, I thought they seemed too quiet. After downloading the EQ software and making some adjustments, I found it super easy, and I’m super happy with the product. This is the BEST headset on the market for an affordable price. The only “bad” thing about these is that they don’t have as much bass as my old Razer Nari essentials. If I could give them 6/5 stars, I would.

Sound is great, nice bass, and i wasnt really expecting it to light up and change color on the ear covers. The headband is also pretty comfortable and adjustable. However, the mic light can shine in your eyes, the light turns off when youre muted. So if you have a side conversation while streaming, its at least a good visual reminder that youre not muted.

So I came from turtle beach’s which was great I loved them for my Xbox not for my pc. These are great it has a control where you can pick if you want to hear the game or your chat more. It also has a led ring around each headset so that’s dope. A little on the heavy side if your use to smaller headset but over all it’s a go

i have a Steelseries bluetooth controller. and just like the controller, this headsets quality. ease of use are top notch. very comfortable to wear. retractable mic when not using it. an on headset mute button that illuminates a red light just within peripheral so that you dont forget you are muted. but does not distract from gaming. it also has a game/voice chat audio mixer so that you can get just the right amount of video into the headset if you so choose.

Love the headset, as far as sound and microphone quality it’s top notch. My only flaw is the one size fits all strap, not the biggest fan of that style of adjustment. Also the dial for microphone settings not what I’m used to, I’m sure I’ll get used to it in a couple more weeks.

These are fun headsets. They go very well with my other steelseries accessories such as keyboard, mouse and mousepad. Color coordination is really cool. Sound quality is really good. Mic can do a bit better.

I love the design of Steel series and love the retractable mic. I even love the felt adjustment band, but I have a bit of a weight issue on the ears. Not a drastic issue but i think the felt adjustment just isn't holding the most of the weight.

Hands DOWN!!! Some of the best headphones for the price! I have had this pair for a few years and they work well with my job for taking calls and gaming!!! The sound is (chefs kiss) perfect! They are EXTREMELY comfortable around the head and ears. Perfect headset! Gave them to my youngest son when I left my job and now that I am back to gaming and online streaming of those games...I wish I hadn't. I will be buying another pair expeditiously!

This was my first headset from Steelseries and I was extremely impressed with how comfortable they are. Who knew a strap would be more comfortable than padding! The plush material on the ear cups, in my opinion, is the most comfortable I’ve tried compared to Turtle Beach Stealth 400 and Astro A20. It has a natural noise cancelling effect, but I will say that I do most of my gaming at night when my family is asleep. I love the ability to pull the mic out when in a party chat and push it back in when I’m not using it. I asked my friends how I sounded and to my surprise they said I sounded clear! They said compared to the A20, my voice sounded more natural and not muffled. The sleek look appealed to me because I could wear it in public connected to my phone to listen to music or just watch a movie/youtube video. The sound quality was great, although some reviews had complaints. I did find out when connected via the controller of a console, the sound wasn’t as clear as when it was connected via usb to the console itself. The problem you run into is the cord being too short to reach where you sit OR the cord being too long and it’s all resting on you, making it a nuisance to get up. Seeing as how the description say it’s WIRED, this should be anticipated before purchase. Had this been the first headset I ever purchased, I would have been more than happy. After experiencing the comfortability this headset provides, any other brand is going to have a tough time impressing me. For a first headset, you can’t go wrong! I understand the price being an issue so I would suggest waiting for it to go on sale. It’s worth the wait!

There are multiple styles of headsets from different brands that have similar specs. All designed to have a similar look which gives the impression they are all the same. This is not the case. The Arctic 5 is a great starting point for the gamer who wants motion sensing in game. Obviously there are more expensive and higher spec headsets out there, but for the price and what you get; build quality, comfort, and details it's great. -I have a larger head, foam covers ears completely and reduces a lot of sound. Not completely noise cancelling but for the bedroom player these are perfect. -Has a sound balance tool attached to the cord to reduce game sound or chat sound via turn wheel on the fly. I don't use it to often but it's great when you need to really focus and drown out your discord. -I would like these to be cheaper and it was hard for me to pull the trigger on a $100 headset, but the second I tested them it was completely worth it. -The sound is leveled great, it won't get to blow out volumes but it has punchy lows, solid mids/and highs. Great for music and gaming. -One negative of this headset is the sound selection keeps switching between chat and game mode on Windows 10. It keeps muting the headset when I walk away for an extended amount of time. I have to manually switch it between modes to get the headset to get sound again. It can be annoying but it's so minor of a problem I don't really care. If you are considering these, go for it. You will not regret the purchase. I plan on purchasing another steel series headset once my time with these have passed but it more than likely wont happen any time soon.

PROS: The audio quality is excellent. I'm blown away by the sound of these headphones. The SteelSeries App is dead useful. Plenty of options for tweaking the sound. You can add different audio profiles for different games that the app will apply when you launch the game. The microphone is also excellent. People have zero difficulty hearing or understanding me. The in line audio mixer for chat/game audio is very helpful when your teammates are being distracting while gaming. The headband and pressure is comfortable on my medium sized head. Once you get the headset placed where you want they stay put while gaming. The ear cups are huge, so regardless how large your ears are they will fit with zero issues. Controls are easy to use. Mute button turns on red light on mic so you visually know the mic is muted. Retractable mic CONS: These headphones are pretty bad at blocking outside noise, but increasing the volume helps with that. The ear cups are huge, and I've found that if you don't have your ears centered in the middle the audio is a little off. I don't think the clamping pressure would be enough to keep them steady while making quick movements. Larger heads might not have this problem. Your ears will likely get warm while wearing for long sessions. The speakers do lose some fidelity when you crank the volume up high. There's a wire to be mindful of. Overall: These are a solid buy, even more so if you can get them for under $100. I think the only way you're going to get better sound is to splurge for the Artics Pro version. But you can spend $200 cheaper, spend a few minutes tweaking the sound to your liking, and have a seriously great sounding headset for gaming, music, and movies.

    Gud Sound Ear Pillows

Much yes. Pretty Lights Much Softness Sound Gud Mic can slide in and out of headset (giggity) RGB and equalizer are addressable in app. Works on Xbox and PS4 or anything with 3.5mm aux but only bad thing: RGB no-worky unless used on PC (which you plug headset into via USB) Knob can easily adjust volume of game or chat. Turn knob to chat to hear people better / turn knob to other side to shut-up everyone else and focus on game. Cons: Is not fireproof - don't roast marshmallows with it. RGB might or might not increase FPS - Probably not but you should still get every component and peripheral you possibly can get that has RGB! ( o_O) Would you buy this? I'd buy this... ~~ ( )~~ __/ \_
