Customers consistently note the Arctis GameBuds offer good sound quality, comfortable fit, and satisfactory battery life. The inclusion of a USB-C dongle slot and effective active noise cancellation are appreciated features. Some find the bass response could be improved. The availability of numerous EQ presets and low latency 2.4Ghz wireless support are also positives.

Portability is excellent as compared to my wireless Astro a50 headset. After a 7hr session, the Astro a50 headset does feel more comfortable as these in ear buds start to feel big in my ear canal. Overall, sound is good for what it is, not as good as the a50 headset, but worth the trade off for me to not have headset hair. Mic quality in these earbuds is poor compared to the Astro a50 and I’ve experienced sporadic mic issues and connectivity issues.

I’ve been looking for a great pair of gaming buds that offered Bluetooth and a 2.4 dongle and I always preferred Steelseries in the gaming headset department, but they never made a pair of buds until now. I didn’t really like the offerings from Inzone, Razer and others so this was on my radar when they released. The sound quality, connectivity, fit and sonar eq software for pc make this my top choice. The volume can be a little low for some but the master volume can be tweaked in the sonar software to push these a bit further. Whether it be for music, movies, and games for essentially all gaming platforms and mobile devices I think people will find these as their top choice for gaming buds.

Love these earbuds. At first I didn’t think these were capable enough to replace my AirPods for music but once I hooked it up the the GG engine on my laptop and made a custom eq setting, it changed my mind and they’re now my daily carry. The fact that it’s versatile to be able to use them for my PS5 and my phone when I’m traveling is amazing. The sound is great, and it’s bassy if you change the EQ around, the black version is very stealth which is what I was looking for. One of the best parts is the battery life as well, it lasts so long. Could possibly also be due to the fact that I don’t use the ANC feature, but either way I’m very impressed by these. Mic is also clear when using them for phone calls, haven’t tried gaming mic since I don’t play multiplayer.

I was looking for a pair of gaming earbuds being that I wear glasses and during long sessions, I headset pushes my glasses against the side of my head purchase these easy to connect fits in your ear comfortably, but not very loud at all my headset I had my PC sound set at 40 with these. I had it at 80 and still wasn't as loud as my headset. I understand it's Bluetooth or wireless 2.4 with a dongle but for $200 I expected it to be louder. It did set up to my iPhone really easy and is a little bit louder. That way the microphone is really good. Voice comes out very clear so there is a lot of positive things to it, but in my opinion, not worth 200 there are cheaper models you're just paying for the name.

These earbuds are amazing! The ANC is superior to even my Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and they're comfortable even for longer sessions. I also love the ability to plug in the 2.4Ghz dongle in literally anywhere for easy device switching without having to pair and re-pair bluetooth, The dongle works with my iphone, TCL (via included adapter), laptop, android tablet, to name a few. With little to no latency via the dongle, these are a must buy for more than just gaming!
I would recommend this to a friend

These earbuds are fantastic. The sound is good, setup is easy, and they’re comfortable. The steelseries software however is atrocious. It takes over your sound devices and constantly crashes I cant in good conscience recommend installing it.

I love these, the sound quality is great for gaming. I’ve started using these more than my Arctis Nova Pros. And I mainly bought these for my PCVR and Quest 3. And they work in both ways. Stand alone is great too just need to increase the volume.
Just wanted to drop a quick message to say thanks for the awesome feedback! We're thrilled that you're enjoying our products and being a part of the SteelSeries family and community.
Your comments mean a lot to us and we're always striving to improve and provide the best possible gaming experience for our users.

Great Gamebuds

Definitely a great game bud from ease of use, set up, app accommodations as well as long great battery life. Where it misses for me is the comfort, it fits in my ear perfectly but after just a measly 20-30 min of wearing it starts to hurt my ears. Looking past the discomfort in ear it stands up well with sound quality and sound clarity.

Took a little troubleshooting to get everything working with the PC, but headphones are pretty comfortable and seem to do a good job with all the many different EQ options that are available in the app. They have active noise cancellation, but even without the ANC on they block most of the ambient noise around you. They also have a transparency mode if you need to be aware of what's happening around you which is pretty neat. Quality headphones so far.

SteelSeries is premium. These hold a charge longer then … well longer than I would expect. They’re great.
Many software presets available to make tuning these easy but if you can set the EQ just right, to your own sound preference, you won’t be disappointed.
Great bass, mids, even with the ANC (active noise canceling off) are impressive.
I’ll be using these while on my PC but if I need to step away or take my dog for a walk I can just use the app and switch to Bluetooth and these easily convert from my gaming headset to exercise or general-use pods.
They work great.

I have used the Arctis Nova 7 headphones for about three years straight, but I didn’t like carrying them around. So, when I saw that new earbuds by SteelSeries were coming out, I just had to try them. These earbuds are some of the best gaming earbuds I’ve ever tried—much better than the Sony Inzone ones. They have almost the exact same range as the SteelSeries headphones.
I like that the USB-C dongle is very small and comes with adapters, so you can use it with almost any computer. The earbuds last a pretty long time; I use them at around 90% volume, and they can last me around six hours with chat and noise cancellation enabled. They also charge quickly—taking about 30 minutes to get to 50% from 0%.
The phone app offers over 200 sound profiles, allowing you to tweak the sound to perfection, so you can always find the right tuning. The case supports wireless charging, which is a great feature, and I also appreciate the physical side buttons that are customizable in the app.
Yes, I would recommend these earbuds. In fact, I’d say they are the best gaming earbuds on the market right now. Other earbuds I’ve tried, like the ones from Sony, have had deal-breakers. But with these earbuds from SteelSeries, I can just sit back, forget they’re in my ears, and enjoy what I’m doing with no distractions.

From a usability standpoint, these are by far my favorite earbuds for gaming. Love the ability to use the USB dongle on my handheld and Bluetooth to my phone. One button to switch back and forth. Plus I think good sound and great ANC. Have also used Apple Air pods and ROG earbuds... as well as some cheap brands.
However, from a reliability/durability standpoint they get a big, meh. I have had to return two units so far (got my first pair in Oct 2024, this review is Nov 2025) from sound not working to the constant high pitch buzz. But while the return process is cumbersome, SteelSeries replaced them both free of change. So overall giving these 4 ****

They are amazing! It does the job i can use it for my pc and xbox. And i can take calls so quick when its linked to my phone. Battery life is great, sound quality is beautiful. With plenty of settings for differnent volume presets. Also has very great comfort with different ear pieces!

These things are awesome! A great fit in the ear, and comfortable for long wear. The sound quality is unmatched for an earbud, both directionally and treble/base performance. Battery life is fair to below average, but is to be expected given they are ear buds, and the case has plenty of extra juice. Very happy with these!

The sound coming out of these things is insane. Insane is an understatement, I truly had no idea what to expect with “gaming buds”, but man. These things pack an absolute punch. The only, and I mean only downside is the mic quality. Everything else is great, but my friends complain about how flat I sound, and that’s even if the buds pick up every word that I’m saying. If the mic were even a little better on these, I’d give em a 5, but it is a bit annoying trying to communicate with a party full of my friends and not feel annoyed/annoying.

I waited over a month to buy new earbuds because I saw Steel Series was releasing new ones. I use their Arctis Nova 7 headset and have always loved the quality and features the headset has.
The main reason I wanted these earbuds over my existing Pixelbud Pros is they have a 2.4Ghz receiver and was hoping they'd have better mic quality. The 2.4 receiver allowed great sounding audio and overall the fit was comfortable.
The Bluetooth seems to cut out very often for me. That was pretty disappointing. I also found the mic to be very low quality. I probably would've settled for these headphones, but the straw that broke the camels back was the buttons. It has actual buttons on them. I tried tapping to do play/next song commands and it never worked. Then I realized you have to press an actual button, but isn't very comfortable while they're in your ears. I also was disappointed that the button commands aren't very customizable and hard to remember. You can only change some of them, whereas most earbuds these days allow full customization.
Steel Series usually makes great products, but I think they need to make some improvements and try again with Arctis Gamebuds V2. I will consider giving them a shot when that time comes, but until then I'm going with something else.

I have not done a lot of tech reviews so just want to say that up front. I am a fan of SteelSeries and their products and wanted a set of wireless buds so decided to finally get the Gamer Buds. First thing I will say: update the firmware. It was a night and day difference on sound. I have not had the issue with fit that seems to be a common complaint so I on the regular use them for 5-6 hours at a time for gaming. Sound is great and has that sour round feel. Options in the Arctis app for changing presets have been very helpful for finding the best sound for different types of games. I have especially liked them for Marvel Rivals and Monster Hunter.
I would say the biggest negative is for changing the sound level itself you have to hold down the bud and and wait, which can be frustrating if you don’t do it correctly and turn off noise cancelling or such. The app allows you to change it directly but sometimes annoying to have to open the app to do this

First pair of buds I've actually liked, very comfortable with the right inner ear attachments. Holds a decent charge for long streaming sessions as well, can use a single and easy to go mono sound if needed of you have a lopsided charge in the base.
