I purchased the sunpak 1000AVG to use with a DSLR and a gopro. It is very useful and has a good feel. It helps stabilize your shots and helps to get different angles. The build quality is the only thing that is not great. The padded handle started to fall apart and one of the legs broke off within two weeks. I did use it quite heavily but expected it to last a bit more than it did. The selling point for me was that it is tripod mountable. Great product while it lasts.

To do a low angle photography i needed to lay down on the ground and look at the viewfinder. This helps not to do it and aloows me me to stand and do the same.

It is a very handy aid in the use of my cameras! It steadies my movies and make taking photos easier. It can be used as a steadying guide as well and a mini-tri-pod. I gives me a steady holding point when I need one. It is fun to just set it down, turn on my camera, for videos, and just walk into the scene or join a friend to make a movie too!
Bottom line! It works and does its intended purpose well!!

This is easy to use with my Canon 7D but the weight is not heavy enough for the sony action cam which I also wanted to test. But Several other cameras did work nicely with this. If using a light camera like the sony action cam, I recommend adding some weight to the bottom to balance it out.

This definitely helps be take steady video when I am recording footage! I hate when I used to go home and look at the footage recorded and realized I wish I had some sort of stabilizer. The only issue I have, when I try to remove the battery from my DSLR, I must unscrew it all the way off.

Build with Very good quality material. I take some adapters from a selfie stick to use it with the smartphone and works great. I can simulate flying put it on the floor and then take off in no time with not shaking and holding problems.

Used this for a wedding reception and sporting event very easy to steady my camcorder. Can also very easily to connect to a tripod. Attaching a light to this provided just the amount of light needed.

Although the price is a bit on the high side for this material and design - it does offer the ability to take action videos that are relatively smooth. It doesn't offer the smoothness or leveling action of higher priced gimbal mounts. But that is the tradeoff for this price range. One improvement would be having the handle swivel to keep the camera level. Additionally, it can only hand held - so the lowest the camera can be positioned is 2-3 feet off the ground (depending on your own height). It is impossible to get lower without crouching and that would be awkward to provide any movement/action.

I bought this product with the last of my money, and though I hit it's limit fairly quickly, I am glad to say that there is plenty of wiggle room.
With it's elevated legs, it acts as an extremely low angle tripod, or for a close up of feet walking. Placing it on a skateboard gives you an interesting dolly move or track, and holding the bar gives you a steadier image. I used this as a makeshift steadicam while filming a project a few weeks ago, and as long as the terrain is even and the speed your moving at is no more than a brisk wall, you have a useable image.
This is definitely NOT what the product is designed for, but it works nonetheless, and for young filmmakers it is a cheap and very exploitable option to the other life steadicam a that clock in at more than double it's price.

light but well balanced once camera is on. I use it with my Canon T5, Canon Vixia HF R500 camcorder and even my GoPro 3+ Silver...
It is really easy to screw on the camera and easy to screw off. The top shoe can support external lighting and microphones with proper mounts.
