This is great if you are wanting light in dark places / clubs etc. the fit ONLY works properly when your Hero 5 or 6 is not in the supersuit and only in the original case that the Hero came in.. :) wish they made a diffuser that could go on the light because it's so bright and makes people duck away from the light sometimes..

this is a very bright light, but while filming at dark it does not give enough light for distance. This is also very bulky when attached to go pro and the battery pack covers up the microphone an distorts the sound

Well, where do I start? Hmmmm. I got this LED light for my GoPro Hero 5 because it lacks lighting, even the filter settings dont help that much in low lighting areas when filming. it does fit the go pro Hero 5 but the bad part about it is once it's installed it blocks the micro HDMI and USB 3.0 input with the led battery case. Now this wont be an issue if you dont mind using the internal mic which is very low Quality, however it will be a BIG issue if you have an external Mic Adapter to use with lets say a Rode VideoMic Pro like i have, then you won't have access to use the USB 3.0 connection on the go Pro to plug it in. You can swap the sunpak led light to the opposite side as I will show in 2 pictures, but the bad part there is that now it's blocking the power/settings button, but again if you have the wireless remote with the 3 button settings on it then having it, in the opposite side should not be a problem as long as you have access to the settings and power button on the go pro Hero 5 from the wireless remote. Now getting to the LED Light's Performance. It is impressively bright, you have a high, low and SOS flashing light output option and if you press and hold the button for a few seconds it will then power down the led light. I found the low light output to be more then bright enough vs having it on the high brightness. your skin will have this slight blue-ish tone vs the low setting. The color of the led is like around 7500K. That can be adjusted through the GoPro if you lower the light filter down when the led is on. The bracket comes with only 1 thumb screw/bolt to mount the led light to the bracket it came with so you will need to buy an extra one to attach the gopro and led light to a tripod as the GoPro does come with one out of the box. Over all its ok and for the price it does the job vs expensive lighting for Vlogs or doing Tutorial videos. Now it says it's water proof up to 30 feet I believe but I will not be using my GoPro for any kind of Under water recordings. So I can't comment on that spec. Now Would I recommend it still? Sure if you are ok with what I mentioned above.

The light is bright and works well above the water. The seal is questionable and though I used it briefly under water, I am not confident it would work for long there. My biggest complaint is that while it has a removable battery, you can not buy a spare. I have looked high and low. Even attempted to contact the company (SunPak or ToCan). No response. What is the use in a removable battery if you can't get a spare or replacement?

Was shooting some Cave videos - it was great - nice mount - easy to operate - plenty of light - and the ring position seems to get rid of bad "face shadows" Only con: uses USB-micro to charge on-board battery - should use GoPro USBc connector - one less charging cable to lose. ALSO: not capable of "spare battery" - once you're out of light, gotta plug in!

Extremely bright light and works very good with camera, easy off-on. Very light weight.

I bought this for my GoPro Hero 5 (yes, it fit!) and it was the best, brightest, true-color LED light you can ask for. It has different levels of brightness which is awesome, the brightest setting reaches pretty far.... unfortunately mine only worked for about 1 month before it stopped turning on - could be that my particular accessory was faulty, so other than that, I would definitely recommend!

I like it its brighter for videos under water and darkness

Fits on my old gopro3 and helped supply additional lighting for my videos. Adds more bulk to the camera, so be aware of that if your mounting it anywhere

I used this on my recent trip to Riviera Maya. I needed a light for the under water dark cave snorkeling for my GoPro Hero 4 Black. I was quite pleased with the results. My pictures and 4K video were perfect! Used it for nighttime shots as well. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a GoPro light. Can't wait to put it through more tests!

it gives a brighter light than any other brand. Just make sure you lock it properly or else the water will ruin the battery inside.

I love my GoPro! The only down side of it was using it at night since it doesn’t have an external flash. Well, this product helped with that. The light is amazing and it gives an amazing quality view while filming at night. The LED light can be adjusted to three different light settings for every need. Definitely an awesome product!

this is must have for in studio lighting and night recording. This light is very bright

really like using this for indoor recording. have used it multiple, comes in handy

So this light works well for everything but scuba diving. At 65ft below it did shine bright like a diamond, but in all the videos afterward it only showed a picture of the first two feet. After that it was useless.

Nice light for dark video or pics with your go pro

For the price this is not bad. I like the concept. I've only used it on 3 dives so far, 80' at the deepest. The seals held. You have to be right up on your subject maybe 4' at the farthest. It doesn't illuminate very far underwater, but then only very high powered lights in the $thousands do. I haven't tried above water yet, but it probably does a good job of spreading light on land. The clunkiness I mentioned is getting to the menu button on the front of the camera & reading the little LCD display when the light is in position. Longer pivot screws would be a good idea since pivoting the light back-n-forth off the camera gets "sticky" & the light feels too fragile to grab it & pull on it to pivot (separate) the light from the camera. So you should back the pressure off the screw to pivot it, do whatever you need to do to your camera, then hold the light ring firmly against the camera then re-tighten the screw.

This is a great lighting system for unscripted action shots. I did not use this for under water, although it was designed and advertised for such. I used this light attached to my gopro hero 3+ black which was attached to an RC truck which I used to scare heck out of the cat. The only problem was the camera was top heavy with this thing on it, so wild moves were out of the question. I was using standard gopro mounts and screw mounts. The camera had a tendency to lean back and point skyward with this on it. If you are going to move the camera, get a better mounting system (make one). Otherwise, it worked great. If you are only trying to illuminate a small area within 3 feet (which is how far light can go underwater and have a decent shot) this will work fine. By the way, I only scared the cat once.

Great attachments for those that needs additional lighting for those low light shots... Easy attachment and you're ready for great shots without normal lighting...

This is a very bright light! I use it in the night clubs and it fits well with my GoPro!
