i bought the dvr8-4100 8 channel 960h digital video recorder & 4X pro-735 cameras ( on 11-30-2014 at the carbondale ill 62901 store ) and only in about 3 weeks one of the pro-735 cameras dont work on the day vision (is pink colored) bad camera ,but so far the other cameras or allright , i think the bad camera needs to be replaced under warranty so i need help, please let me know what to do soon

I got the Swann - 8-Channel, 4-Camera Indoor/Outdoor DVR Security System on sale over the holidays as an augmentation to my home security system. This was a cheaper option than buying a video surveillance system through my security company. The kit came with everything I needed to get started (4 indoor/outdoor cameras, cables, and a DVR) and it was relatively easy to install. You can connect the DVR to a computer monitor or a smart TV. The DVR can accommodate 8 cameras and a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera. I placed the cameras outside to monitor around my home. Although the video is not HD quality, it is decent enough to observe images during unlimited as well as limited visibility. One neat feature is the smart phone app that allows you to randomly monitor your home while you're out and about as well as check recorded events. Since the cameras are fixed to one position, I plan on adding PTZ cameras to cover blind spots and record better quality video. So far, I am pleased with my purchase.

Bought this system cause of neighbor issues and it works great haven't had a single problem with it I can install 4 more cameras easy to connect internet to view feed anywhere very easy to install and they night vision is really great up close if you wanna use it for distance this ain't the camera for you for small residential or business I recommend

System is easy to install...gives great quality pictures. Allows for monitoring wide area around our home. However, there are NO instructions on how to use the software that comes with the system. You have to muddle thru trying different things to see how it works. It is very tedious to use. Something as simple as saving a snippet of video for later review took 5 tries before we figuired out how to even cut the section of video to save...then another 3 tries at how to save it. I feel like there should have been an instruction booklet or cd or something included with the system to tell us how to use the software..but there was none.

Easy to setup! Software for phones - free! A little bit of network knowledge on setting up your router for UPNP or for actual port openings necessary to get the most out of it. The picture quality is great!

Bought this system for my sister and installed it for her. Easy to install and setup. The downloaded apps is very limited and does not rotate the view in landscape mode. Night vision range is limited.

between me and my son it only took about 2 hours to install five cameras. I cooked the DVR up to my living room TV. Set up was a breeze. All I had to do was download the app and point at the code on the screen and it automatically set everything up so I can see on my cameras on my phone. I continue and set up a second phone and 2 tablets with just as much Ease. picture quality is phenomenal even at night. I would recommend this and have recommended it to others.

I had a very easy set up of the system and have achieved such a pleasant time learning of all its capabilities and it's operation . The system has such an awesome display that it seems like you are looking at real time instead of a recording. Very pleased !!

Night vision better than expected. Bought 3 additional cameras, total of 7 cameras connected. Nice being able to see my house while I'm away. I would recommend everyone purchase the Swann security system. Great product for price!!

I had a different camera system before. the old dvr only lasted 1 year. this camera system has better quality and is in high definition.

Replacing a DVR that failed with this one was Plug and Play. Wired up the existing cameras and the new DVR displayed video without changing any settings. Decided to swap two of the old cameras with new ones provided (Old cams were fuzzy) and picture quality was a noticeable improvement. They are not HD but far better than the SD cameras we had. New camera was blurry on one occasion but reseating connection fixed.

Great camera security system. My husband and I are very pleased. He actually is looking to purchase more cameras. Our unit only came with four. Very simple to install. Recommendation: Make sure you have a newer modem in your house. Ours was over 5 years old and would not work with this system. After we replaced the modem, it worked very quickly. We called the Swann help people and they were very nice and helpful.

I had A wireless system and it was undependable. These wired cameras came with everything needed and easy to set up. They work great. The software is better than the previous system I had.

Email alert inoperable and customer service said not promised you will get and you will need a new email to receive alert if any. Haven't received one yet. No audio on camera unit only for mic OR purchase camera separately with audio installed already. Audio alert on monitor shows it's there but no sound with camera that came with box. To get with tech support you will have to send it in a suggestion box and they will contact you. If at all. But a decent camera system overall.

I purchased this security system for added protection around my home. I could not be more pleased how easy it was to set up the cameras and the DVR. I would highly recommend this camera security system!
