    Love this Battery Cam

    We got the Swann spotlight cam for outdoors and also got this one for indoors mainly to watch our dog when we're away. While it's a super wide view (like fisheye) we can see the video stream alongside the other camera - LOVE THAT. Like the other cam, we got a lot of alerts at first but change the settings and now it's good too. Would recommend.

    This camera is a nice start to our home security system. Small, sleek design makes it almost invisible and the camera is very sensitive to movement. Easy to install and easy to connect via the app. We will be adding more...

    This camera is awesome but the battery doesn't last as long as I needed it for my outside use. I had to buy the solar kit to go with it nd since then I have no complaints.

    This swann camera works well. They just need to fix a few things. You can only connect to a 2.4ghz WiFi channel so make sure your internet supports that. The video quality of the day and night mode is good for 720p. The sound comes through clear so you can hear everything but when you talk back through the camera there is a delay and the sound is that good. Overall it’s a good camera for the price.

    To start, the application is too intrusive asking for too much information it does not and should not need to create an acct. After giving way too much personal information, it took 5 restarts deleting and repairing to get the camera to even connect to the application. When it finally did connect and start showing the camera in action, it would not stay connected long enough to even test all the camera resolutions, settings, etc... With 9 wireless security cameras across three different companies, this should not have been a problem but I can’t see this working for me until Swann gets the iOS application up to speed and fix the glitches.

    Awesome Security Camera!

    I have gotten a lot of use out of this security camera. The battery life is great and can easily detach and charge it. The app is pretty easy to use and notifies me when there is movement in the area.

    Poor software and only one camera would sync

    I purchased two wireless security cameras. One camera set up was easy, the other one never would sync with the software. The newest download would not give me notifications of people seen on the camera. None of the features worked, it was frustrating and I would not recommend swann cameras and I will be researching Again other brands. Best Buy was great tho on the returns with a fast refund. Best Buy rocks!!

    Not reliable, needed to be charged every 2 days, poor resolution, could not control the notifications! Poor design!

Frequent opening of the Swann Security app, too many motion detections, and poor WiFi signal can contribute to the fast discharge of the battery. The unit sleeps when there's none of the above on the first 2 things mentioned is happening while repositioning the camera or your router so they can have a stronger signal will help the camera last longer.     purchased these a few months ago and just took them out of the box had I known I wouldn't be able to use them I would have returned them on day one. I'm unable to connect via app on my android as well as desktop connection.

    50/50 - Can't decide if to keep

    I bought a Night Owl 1080p camera system and a few days later bought the Swann 5pc wifi cameras. I charged cameras for about 3 hours each before testing them. I took a long time to sync them because they only worked on a 2.4GHZ network. I borrowed a Lynksys EA9500 router and after tinkering an hour or more I got the first camera going. The picture is really not that great and the Night Owl where way better quality but did not have microphone. I did make changes to quality, detection and other features. As I type the review my rear door camera is showing ( Device Disconnected again ).. I am not sure if the wifi don't reach it but the router is about 25 feet away from camera. Notification shows low Wifi Signal. The plus is they are wifi and can me moved around and no need to worry about wires. The manual did state the battery life but it will sure change after adjusting settings for sure. I would recommend to make research before buying these.

The camera has 3 different settings for streaming quality; low, medium, and high. If you are having problems streaming you can lower the settings and test to see if it improves. Note that lowering the stream settings does not affect the quality of the recordings. If you have very fast upload speeds you can set your camera to high, but if your upload speed is not that good then we recommend you use medium or low for the streaming setting. Since these cameras will operate over Wi-Fi, it is important that your camera be placed in an area where the connection is not likely to be interrupted. Please contact a member of our technical support team with your Internet upload and download speeds. This will help us troubleshoot and diagnose the issue is you are currently experiencing.
