Customers are pleased with the 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon's image quality and value for the price. Many found it easy to use and well-suited for long-range shots, particularly as a beginner lens. However, some users experienced slow autofocus. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality and affordability outweighs the concerns about focusing speed.

I am not a pro photographer but a passionate one. Learning new things and trying them out. Thought of trying a zoom lens for my Nikon D5600 , purchased this one within budget. Since then I am using it everywhere - beach, portrait, macro(trying but not sure about the macro feature. I don’t see any difference if I turn macro on at 180mm), at my daughters school function to take her photo at a distance all came out well. I would suggest handling the lens as mentioned in the guide (comes with the package) else you will end up damaging the lens’s mechanism.

Excellent price and works great. No need to buy the overpriced nikon lenses. This lens was under $120.00. Nikon would have deen over $1000.00

I was holding off getting the nikon 70/300 because of the price. Got this from Best buy for 123.00, auto focus works great, and comes with a end cap sun shade attachment. Really no sense in buying the nikon lense.

this is a great lens. for the price its outstanding (half the cost of a new Nikon lens. and it has macro!) ok sure the auto focus is a lil slow (and loud) and it dosen't have image stabilization but it otherwise works great.

Got this lens the day before we left for African Safari. Had a 200x zoom and NEVER used it. This lens was truly wonderful. My wild life photos were outstanding ( according to others). Most pleased. $150 versus Nikon $640s. What a "Best Buy".

I love this lens! However, the focus was slow to focus so I only use this for myself and not on a shoot. I love the Macro feature this lens has and I do use it a lot!

If you are looking to expand your lens collection on a budget, this is the lens. Pictures were crisp and lens easily attached to Nikon D3100.

I bought the Tamrron lens because of the price compared to Nikon. I love the lens. I put it right on my camera and haven’t taken it off.

I bought this lens specifically for the zoom levels to shoot pics of my kid at track meets. He's a runner & jumper so I don't get lots of chances to get super close to him in action during the meets. Upon initial usage of this lens I was impressed with what I got vs what I paid for it. The zoom is nice, it's no more shaky than other non-vibration reduced lens that cost 4x the money so it's not a complaint of mine. If I expected a more steady picture I would have bought the higher dollar lens. The focus is slower than expected at times but nothing that deterred me from using it yet. I had read on other sites that the focus is "noisy" and while louder than the NIkon branded lenses, it has not been that big a deal.
Overall, this is a solid lens for the money. I've had no issues shooting with it and looking forward to using it a bunch going forward.

This was a gift to my youngest son, who is studying photography and digital media and his assessment is that it is great lens that offers crystal clear macro focus for extreme closeups. He is very pleased with it.
