It works really nice and quieter than the laptop. I would have liked to have a speed switch or button to cycle through different fan speeds. It does work and kept my gaming laptop from melting itself down

It Works good, just a little loud, light weight, good angle

This product is really nice, it keeps my laptop cool and is very quiet. It has the tilt so you can use it at any angel. The only down side is the bottom has no padding, so using it on the lap w/o some sort of padding does pose a bit of a comfort issue.

Was ok. But was using it on high end gaming laptop, didn’t make a difference at all because of how much power runs through my machine, tested it on my older thin and light and it did help, should use for “normal” laptops!

This is a slick little device. Plug it into the USB on your laptop & dual fans cool your machine. It even has multiple USB ports on the back and incline is adjustable. Durably built!

Bought this to keep my Alien laptop from overheating. The Amd processor tends to run hot from the reviews that I saw. This is quiet and runs well. My PC feels cool and it's been good so far.

We do a large amount of photo and video editing on a laptop and this cooling system works great. The angle provides comfort and is a bonus compared to flat cooling systems. The fans deliver the air circulation necessary for the hours that are spent on the editing.

it's pretty good also it's very chilly aswell as being a good cooler

There does not seem to be a perfect laptop fan base for larger 17" laptops. With this one there is a lip at the front to stop the laptop from sliding off when tilted. Larger laptop has to sit on top of this lip so laptop's back feet are still on base. Base is a little too lightweight and flexes when typing on laptop keyboard. I don't use the base with separate keyboard; all I want is extra cooling. The tilting mechanism is what makes the base flimsy. The 4-port USB 2.0 hub is very nice feature. The base looks good. The 2 fans seem to do at least the same job as my previous fan base, but make less noise.

You can hear some fan noise but it is still quite much like the laptops themselves although it could be. This is the first one of these I’ve ever bought or owned thus nothing to compare with. I do notice the great difference In temperature with and without it in the approximate amount of time. I’m very glad I did not just get the cheeper on as this also has for more USB devices something that both of my laptops lack.

Does the job and love the angle adjustment! Personally i use this to cool off my gaming laptop during any use and have noticed the increase in rendering speeds when i am editing videos. Especially with the touch of angle management, i consider this a great buy!

I bought this to replace an older chill-pad I owned that developed an extremely loud amount of fan-bearing noise when it was first powered up. I did a fair amount of searching to compare the different models offered by Targus and others, and this model seemed to hit the sweet spot between price and features. It's nice that it's USB-powered, so you have one fewer power supply you have to find an electrical outlet for, but the overall build quality of the unit generally speaking seems a bit cheap and flimsy. I like the tilt feature. It's raised my laptop screen up quite a few inches higher compared to where it sat before, and tilting it up also had the effect of creating a significant amount of space for the air underneath the laptop to circulate in; I can easily feel plenty of warm air that's being expelled. But then, after using it about a month, all of a sudden fan-bearing noise began kicking up at start-up on this chill-pad too, and you could distinctly hear the pitch of the different noises coming from each of the two fans. No lie: after starting up my laptop and chill-pad, I LEAVE THE ROOM for five minutes to give the fan bearings time to do whatever it is they have to do quit making that annoying, grinding noise. Even so, I like it enough to plan on continue using it until I feel I've got my money's worth out of it, at which point I'll trash it and begin shopping all over again.

I always sit in my lounge chair with the computer in my lap.. The chill mat allows air to flow through the computer vents. If I didn't have the mat the computer vents would be blocked. The additional USB ports are a big benefit. I have my wireless mouse receiver is in one of the ports. When I turn off my computer I always pull the connection cord from the computer USB port to turn off the chill mat fans. I do not find this to be a problem.

Works as it should. Has enough ports and is lightweight.
