Works wonderful and the price was affordable! This fan pad did not disappoint. It is lightweight and not too bulky. It was ÷asy to set up to my laptop. Definitely would recommend it.

Purchased this because my older laptop was overheating while watching streaming video. Lots of pauses and skipping. Hooked this up and not only does it stream anything perfectly, even under rather taxing use, the laptop remains cool to the touch. Lightweight and thin, it easily packs into my laptop bag with little to no extra bulk. Very well worth the low price paid.

This is a decent enough cooling pad that will help airflow decently and actual cooling of your laptop minimally. The cooling aspects are derived through two decently sized fans that help circulate slightly cooler air onto and into the bottom of your laptop. Your internal laptop cooling fans are still doing 99% of the work cooling the system and as such you might see a 1-2° temperature change. This unit is nice because it allows a decent gap between your laptop and the fans, which will stop any issues with these fans interfering with the functionality of your internal cooling system. The construction is nothing special. Plastic. Black. Lightweight. Overall it's esthetics will not make it stand out as a high quality investment and the power plug being a thin USB to barrel plug wire will not exude confidence. The truth here is that the unit does not require any substantial power though and the fact that it is so basically assembled will make replacing the fans much easier when the stock ones decide to die out. Overall the unit is an OK purchase that won't let you down as long as you understand what you are getting and what it will really be doing for you. It isn't an extremely loud cooling pad either but you will hear it, mainly because it is two larger fans seated in a plastic shell without any rubber dampening.

Well, I only had two expectations-- that the mat keep the laptop cool and that it would be portable. To the latter point, the mat is both small and light weight. It is easy to pack and leaves plenty of extra space in my travel case. The fans are quiet... but they really are not needed by my laptop because the venting alone keeps my system perfectly cool

My work laptop was constantly having issues with overheating, and it was causing so many systemic issues with my laptop and was driving me crazy. After using this cooling pad for the first time, it has never overheated again. I am so happy I found this item! It's quiet enough where I don't even hear it, and it stays on all day long. I have one for my work laptop, and one for my personal laptop.

It does the job fine, my computer no longer feels like it's going to catch fire when I'm running a program I probably shouldn't be running on a laptop. It smells strongly like plastic (im well aware) and its decently quiet. It's super lightweight and easy to use

First off, I'm not using this cooling mat for its intended purpose. I'm using it to circulate moist air inside a humidor. That being said, it works fine and is powerful enough to circulate air. I'm not certain how durable it would be for an actual laptop since it's all plastic, but it's lightweight and doesn't get hot. The fans have a noticeable high pitched noise, but unless you were in a very quiet room, you probably wouldn't notice it any more than a computer fan running. Also, unlike other mats I've owned, this one does not have adjustable tilt feet. It lies flat and its feet are also hard, molded plastic, not rubberized. It was merely an inexpensive solution to my problem. This isn't a high-end mat, but it isn't a high-end price either.

Cooling fan is quiet and does what it says. It is good for the price and charges off of you laptop, with cord. It is not heavy and levels the laptop.

This item is reasonably priced and affordable. For the price it gets the job done. Since using it I have no more issues with my computer getting hot. The fans are not loud and it gets the job done! I recommend this item.

I was skeptical but desperate. I recently got a new laptop with a gorgeous silver metal case, not thinking about the consequences. It gets super hot because it's metal, not plastic like all my previous ones. Duh! There was hot air blowing out the side, scalding my wrist. I've done so much research and just came to the conclusion there was nothing I could do. It's just an issue with HP and Windows and a metal case. I had thought about these fan mats, but wasn't sure they really worked. I took a chance when this one went on sale for $19.99. I just now plugged it in and five minutes later no more scalding hot air blowing on my wrist!! No more too hot to the touch metal case. I'm so happy I could cry!! Sorry for all the exclamation points, but I am beyond thrilled. And I will never buy a laptop with a metal case again. Or spend so much money on one when probably the cheaper one would've been just fine...but I digress. I love this thing!! I took off one star because there is no off switch, like someone else had mentioned. Not a huge deal to unplug it, but it would've been nice.

This thing works great. My laptop stays nice and cool while gaming. Super quiet and lightweight. I just wish it was thinner to fit in my case.

For the price, it’s a solid and practical addition if you want some extra cooling and improved comfort. Just don’t expect it to be a miracle fix for extremely hot laptops — it’s a helpful assist, not a full thermal overhaul.

Purchased it as I run a cooling fan with both laptops. This one is under my MacBook Pro. Very quite with no issues to report. I like the price point and the size of the cooling pad.

I have an older laptop that has internal fans that no longer function as they should so I use a cooling fan underneath my laptop to keep it from over heating. This cooling pad works great and is very quiet. It is very light weight and does what it is supposed to do.

So much better than my previous cooling pad! I have a 2012 13" MacBook Pro and my last cooling pad couldn't handle the weight. It pressed down on the pad and the the fans blades wouldn't spin. Not this one - I love it! I will say that my 13" laptop covers the entire pad, so it won't be useful if you have a larger device. I just plug in the USB and the fan works great! There are also 2 small rubber "nibs" that stick up from the base so the laptop doesn't lay flat and allows the air to circulate. It's also lightweight so I can sit on the couch comfortably and use my laptop.

I started noting that the internal fans for my 2019 MacBookPro 13" started to run frequently. I have the laptop on a table top surface (not in my lap in bed where the soft covers will block the vents on the computer bottom). I searched for this issue, and ran across a free app called MacsFanControl which displays in the menu bar the internal temp. It seems to turn on the fan at 40º C. With the Targus running, my computer runs several degrees cooler! And the fans do not turn on nearly as much. The fan is audible, but not intrusive. I cannot hear it if the room window AC is running, for example.

For $34.99, with taxes $44.61 It's a little high for what it's worth, but it does it's job quite well, using a thin and light laptop with a relatively capable CPU, normally it would run at 60C idle, now at 48C, Which is quite a significant change, and runs very quietly. But this product should have really been more like $30, maybe $25 at the lowest? I'd still would have bought this at $30 at least, it's mini usb, which is a bummer, but it does at least come with a cable, and it's easier plug in then if it was micro usb, and the port would probably last longer. Ideally it should have been USB C, but considering this unit was still made at least 7 years ago, judging from the oldest reviews, and is still selling to this day, is quite a testament on how effective and, in a way, more durable, but simple, there is not even an on or off switch, so I just connect it to a spare battery pack I had lying around. Will this last a couple years, probably, maybe even more if taken care of. Overall, it's simple, made of decent hard plastic, but just a little overpriced.

The right size base for my laptop with good air flow. The fan is so quiet that I sometimes have to check to make sure it's running!! A good product for the price..
