I love this tv. It was easy to set up, its simple to use, and the quality of picture is astounding for what we paid. I researched and bought it myself without input from my husband and he loves it too. It exceeded my expectations. Totally totally worth it.

5 Series TCL does not have the advance remote, unfortunately. And the included remote is IR - so, minus one star. Overall the picture and features is very good for the price. I wanted HDR for the PS4 & streaming movies. Very good overall. Remote is a BIG disappointment. Overall good value.

Great picture quality and we love the built in Roku. Apple airplay built in is awesome too. We love that with xfinity and Roku tv we can use the xfinity app to get access to live tv, dvr, and on demand without paying for an extra box.

So far so good. The picture is awesome and I love all of the features available. I’m not really sure about the sound because I bought the compatible sound bar as well and have been using it since day 1. This is a great TV at a very reasonable price.

Love the colors and crisp image on this TCL TV.. Very easy to set up and very easy to use. Love the fact it has Airplay, so that you can be watching something on cellphone and easily mirror it with Airplay to the TCL TV.

I will begin by saying I am NOT a video or audio geek. For most of the viewing needs of my family, this works, especially for the price (which is why it's 4 stars versus 3 stars - 3.5 would be about right). It replaced a smaller 4-ish year old 50" Vizio that suddenly died. It is not nearly as clear and sharp as that older Vizio was. C'est la vie. That said, this TV does a good job for us. The wife and kids do love having a Roku TV, too!! It does make it nicer not having two remotes, or buying a universal remote. It does have some shortcoming when it comes to fast-paced action sequences or intense special effects. I recently introduced my young boys to the original three Star Wars movies on Disney+. The fast paced special effects with blasters, light sabers and space dog fighting sequences are a bit blurry and pixelated. My boys don't notice (or care - they LOVE the movies) but it is a bit frustrating. Normal shows seem to be fine. As stated, good TV for the price. OH, and pretty easy to wall mount with the correct mount!

Been wanting to upgrade to a new 4K tv for awhile and finally got this one. The picture is great, especially with the advanced settings where you can really make the picture how you want it to work. Mainly bought this for 4K Blu Rays and it’s awesome I use an Xbox One X as a 4K player and it’s not the greatest player. The Blu-Ray app has some issues and sound issues as well. The sync for my sound system and the TV is off slightly due to the Xbox Blu Ray app being a bit meh, but I was able to put the TV in Game Mode and that fixed it for the most part. I think the lack of a A/V Delay option on the TV is a disappointment, but that’s more of an Xbox problem and not the TV. Not the biggest fan of Roku that is internally built in, but having the option to use my phone as a remote is a great plus Pick it up, it’s great!

The 5 series is a step up from 4 series and delivers a very clear picture. Having Roku embedded is also a nice feature that TCL continues showcase. This is an excellent television without having to buy a premium price it sacrifice picture quality.

My initial order came with a defective screen but was able to exchange it really easily and the new one has worked perfectly. This TV has great picture and sound and fits perfectly in my new living room. Highly recommend.

Bought as a present and should have bought one for myself. For the price you can't beat it's quality and features. The only issue is the remote died after 6 months. TCL issued a replacement with no hassle at all.

This was a replacement I purchased this TCL and so far the quality and picture have been very excellent. It was easy to set up and the sound has been quite impressive. I am glad this is the TV I selected.

For the price we paid we think the picture quality is excellent. Also, having Roku built-in saves even more. Would have given it 5 stars but the TV can't be controlled by my Xfinity remote like most others nor can I control the Xfinity box or soundbar with the TV remote.

TCL 5 series is a really good TV especially for the price. I was able to get it on sale cheaper than the normal 4 series TV. So far so good. ROKU platform easy to use and quality of TV is more than satisfactory.

Picture is awesome paid less than $300. For the time I have to spend watching a movie or three this is perfect for our lifestyle. Remote app Roku works great. Easy set up. Did I mention less than $300?

I needed a TV for my bedroom. I rarely watch TV in my bedroom and do most of my watching in the living room. So I did not want to break the bank for something that would not get much use. The normal TV's I buy or high end $1200 plus sets. I was not expecting much for something in the $300 range. I have to say I was really surprised at the quality of this set. The colors are pretty good and the TV can get pretty bright. The black levels are really good. Roku TV has everything I have ever heard of plus a bunch of apps that I have never heard of. There is no local dimming so there is a little bit of blooming that the average viewer would not notice. I would highly recommend this for purchase.

This is the second TCL TV we have purchased. The first is this same model but 2 models older. The first has worked well since the beginning and when we did have a problem, TCL sent someone out to swap out the TV when lines appeared on the image and could not be removed. This was while it was under warranty. One thing to be aware of, while the tech was here, TCL basically does not repair TVs onsite. Given the price points of the TV, they will send a tech with a refurb or new unit and swap it out. This replacement will have warranty to the end of the term for the FIRST TV; it does not extend the warranty. Image quality is good. Sound is decent for the price. Recommended.

I recently had a s425 series that took a dump on me in 2 years because the screen blanked out on me and this was my replacement. I figured yeah same tv just 5 series but it actually does look way better since is has the motion crap on it unlike the 4 series. I do recommend this for a budget tv. Great picture, sound isnt as loud as the previous tv, but it works fine. Same simple roku and smart tv features ans simple to use. Hard to adjust darks but for the price its quite good. For another hundred the LG would be a better choice, but TCL does sit up there as well. Longevity, not so good in my opinion. 2 years on my 4 series. Well see how long this one plays out.

I bought this for a friend who was on a budget. I was impressed the ease of set up and the picture quality and my friend is very happy with it. I have been seeing a lot of good things about TCL, and I can see why with this TV.

Finally purchased a new TV. I had read about TCL televisions that they were priced right and had great picture. I believe both apply. Easy to operate - very happy with purchase.

The tv is as good as it gets at the price point. I only wish that the internal speakers were a little bit better. However the system is very intuitive and easy to use. The picture is even better than you might expect and looks great!
