We got this TV as a family Christmas present. Both of us like it very much. It was easy to set up, mostly user friendly, and the picture is very crisp and clear. We were skeptical about the brand name we had never heard of but now that we have been using it for about one month, it's much better than expected. The only things I would change would be to put a heavier base to keep it from tipping and change the color of the remote to make it easier to see.

This TCL is as good as TVs costing twice as much. The resolution is as good as you need, including 4k on available shows, but the 2160p is stunning on its own. The Roku features make it easy to set up and use. My go-to app is YouTube TV, but I'm also regularly using Netflix, Prime Video, Kanopy, PBS, and regular YouTube. All are very easy to access on this TV. Sound is probably the one weakness, as on almost all flat-screen units.

I've had this TV for a year and a half now. Picture looks great and Roku works flawlessly on this. Only negative is the sound isn't great, but I knew this going in, as none of the TV's besides the crazy expensive TV's have great sound. However, this was easily rectified by my sound bar. I've got this one and the 4 series as well, and overall can't tell much difference between the two. Would definitely recommend.

Happy with everything about this tv. If you are supper critical of your tv, this will not compete with a $1500 tv of course in sound and picture but honestly I don’t think you can get more bang for your buck. The only real downside that I know of is the viewing angle of the tv isn’t the best. So if you have a wide angle view need, a different tv might fit you better. Would definitely buy again!

Purchased to go with my Xbox one x. Works great with games and Netflix. Previously used a 55 inch Samsung LED which is amazing but needed 4k. The only issue at times is the TV can be rather bright for certain games. However most games have an HDR setting now which helps. Glad I purchased this versus other more expensive options. Good in-between TV while waiting for OLED to come down in price.

I am very happy with this tv. It is absolutely awesome for gaming in hdr. Clear picture and average sound but for this price a definite deal. Love movie mode to eliminate judder effect so i feel like i am watchin cinema rather than amost too clear fake look.My only complaint is occasional dirty screen effect that happens every once in a while when watchin sports. I reccomend this tv especially for gamers like myself.

I recently bought this tv on black friday to finally replace my old samsung dlp tv. And this is a tremendous step up from that quality. The built in roku is quick and snappy, and watching 4k netflix streams look fantastic. I have an xbox one (1st gen) hooked up to it and games have never looked more clear. Ill be upgrading to a newer console soon to get a full experience. I highly recommend this tv.

This TV has an amazing picture for the price. In addition, the TV has features that its competitors (Samsung) do not have at this price point. For example, this has Natural Motion 240 and Dolby Vision. You will not find these in similarly priced units. Don't fall into the brand name trap like I almost did till I saw with my own eyes. Don't spend more money than what you need for a great TV.

Don't be fooled by the name TCL. They make LED panels for other brand names. This TV is thin and light, the picture quality is excellent, and the features are great. We purchased this TV because it has Roku built-in and that it has an excellent OTA guide (when connected to the Internet.) Do your research, and you'll find that TCL comes out in the top five TVs on the market for price and value.

I replaced a 8 year old SONY Smart TV with this TCL TV. I read all the reviews and Ithink it to be even better. I have a good 7-1 media center, and I usually turn it off and listen the the TV's speakers. Picture is bright and clear, Roku is grea.t. The remote with is model could be upgraded, newer models have full featured keys. I would purchase another at this price range.

I originally went in to buy the series 4 version but was already sold out so I decided to cough up the extra 80 dollars or so and upgrade to the 5 series. Boy am I glad I did. I was originally using the insignia 42in that I bought 5 years ago, which is still a good tv but 5 years is an eternity in electronic years and I could immediately tell a difference. Great picture especially for the price. The default settings aren’t great so you’ll have to adjust some of them but then you’re good to go. For example I like to play video games so I immediately noticed that for games like COD or any other shooting game there was a noticeable input lag. After doing some research I switched the audio settings from normal stereo (HDMI CEC) to the surround sound plus (even though I don’t have surround sound) and it fixed the issue. This tv is also great for movies. Me and my girlfriend noticed a big difference in the quality, graphics were precise and very pleasant on the eyes. You won’t be disappointed if you decide to go with this

My 1st 4k tv and well worth the price. Believe the good reviews you see online, would spend twice as much and not get a better picture. The Roku system is new for me but it works great. When calibrating be sure to look online for tips on best settings. Took a few tries to get 4k hdr set up but WOW what a great picture. You can even calibrate each input differently. Don't forget to turn on hdmi 2.0

Roku TV built in on the 5 series is great and it ends there. Edge lit With no local dimming is a solid pass. 2 bright spots on the bottom corners of tv are an eyesore with Dark scenes and are washed out when too bright and too dark when lowered. Artifacts and judder on fast moving scenes. Viewing angles are the worst I have scene. Not easily mounted on the wall. HDR is too dark when gaming but Ok for movies but backlight and contrast have to be at 100! 4k is good but not enough brightness to really shine. DVD viewing is also bad. If you want a budget TCL go for the 4 series. If you want HDR that works step up to the 6 series but beware of quality control issues with it. Good Luck!

At first glance this TV is very attractive looks good in the living room very small bezels very impressive build for the price once turned on the screen is very bright the Roku system is very easy to use movies look good games look good streaming content is fast and easy only downside is that the edge lit display does give off some bleed in very dark scenes or transitions

The built in Roku is excellent. The tv has a great picture and sound. This is a great tv for cord cutters. The only complaint is the Netflix app freezes sometimes. It can be fixed by removing the tv power cord for 10 seconds and restarting the tv. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars. It is still worth purchasing this tv. I would buy again.

Well I'm glad I waited to do this review since the first one I purchased the screen went out within 48 hours but thankfully best buy let me return it for another one. A week later no issues so far I love the picture quality, but you will need a soundbar or do what I did and order the wireless speakers from roku but overall I'm satisfied with the second tv I got

I use this television in my bedroom and it’s perfect for that. I have a Q80R in my living room so it’s not quite on that level but for the money it’s an incredible deal. Good HDR and 4K quality. I also love the Roku system built in and makes streaming and watching tv very easy. Very good television for what is considered a bargain brand.

Let me start by telling you that 4K video and movies are breathtaking in this tv, streaming from Netflix or Amazon Prime is great since it uses the upscale to 4K even when he streaming is 1080i or 720p, regular tv is good, but I prefer my old plasma over this one. The Roku menu is a great plus and steaming is smoothless. Overall I do recommend this tv.
