I was skeptical of the TCL brand so I did my research. I first came across it as one of the CNET reviews as the “Best TV for the money, period”. Well I did quite a bit of internet research and several store visits to compare in reality. Long story short, I purchased the TCL and have been completely satisfied with it and Roku interface. Time will tell if it will hold up but the initial quality is excellent. It is no OLED but it works for my man cave!

This TV replaced our aging 42" LG from 2015. Excellent overall image quality with deep black levels, impressive brightness, rich contrast and accurate color. (Although it has Roku built in, we opted to continue using our Roku Ultra on HDMI 1) The TV handles both HDR10 and Dolby Vision flawlessly. (Out the box, the color settings need some tweaking - but once you've made adjustments, everything looks absolutely stunning!)

A really stunning tv. If you are on a budget, this is an excellent tv for the price. Movies really pop on the display. I have seen UHD quality Tenet and its so amazing I could not believe it. Overall a great buy, but does have issues see below. For me these aren't so important because i don't primarily use the tv for sports and most movies aren't so dark that it makes it unwatchable. Below are my only cons, but I still love the tv. Don't get me wrong :). Everything is great except two things (which might be very important to others). I have tested and done lots of research regarding the issue hoping to find a fix but to nothing. The tv is so great at movies and others it is anything you would ever want from the $1000 tvs. The first con is that motion artifacts you will notice in action scenes. You can try multiple settings and play action smoothing, natural cinema, etc. But nothing makes it natural like an Oled or a more high end tv. I think this is the single biggest issue with the tv. For most movies, it a non factor, but for very action heavy movies it can have issues. The second con is that the black levels can be a bit harsh to the extent you cannot see certain content. Again an issue with the panels themselves. Most movies play fine, but dark scenes are not so great. There is a small setting which you can change that helps but does not fix it. To get to this setting you have to download the Roku App for the tv and connect via a phone. There is an advanced setting and you can decrease the gamma I believe which does help durastically but does not fix the issue.

Amazing TV. Beautiful colors and contract, highly customizable. The 4K is out of this world and looks as if you are looking through a window. Built in Roku is very effective and simple to use, haven't touched the Firestick since purchasing this TV. The speakers or sub-par and you will need a soundbar if you enjoy decent quality sound, but for the price of this TV, its worth it.

If you're like me and you were trying to decide if you could get by with a TCL 4 or 5 series TV and just wasn't sure if the 6 series was worth the extra $... I'm here to tell you it is. Could not be more happy with my purchase. Do some research there is not a better TV out there today at this price point in this size period. The ratings and quality of this TV exceed many higher dollar ones on the market from your more traditional brands.

In my opinion, this set is close to perfect, especially for the price. The color and brightness are fantastic. I did a lot of research before buying a TV. I debated if I should get the 5-Series or the 6-Series. The 5 was knocked for being dim, and the 6 for motion judder. I ended up going with this 65" 6-Series. The motion judder on fast-moving objects is noticeable. Jarring, to be honest. Luckily, the advanced picture settings have options to control this. Out of the box, the settings are poor. I recommend you turn on Natural Cinema and turn off LED Motion Clarity. These changes should cut back on the blurring and duplication of images. It's not perfect, but acceptable given how stellar the rest of the picture looks. But play around with them to see what works best. I also love the built-in Roku smart system. Navigation is easy, and the Roku Streaming channel offers hundreds of free streaming channels with many great old shows. Of course, you can get this on any streaming stick, but it's nice to have it as your standard system on startup. Sound from the speakers can be adjusted and should be. Again, out of the box they sound rather tinny. I'd go with Theater or Base modes for a fuller sound when not listening through an external sound system. Overall, I highly recommend the TCL 6-Series. This set's technical performance matches sets costing much more. Lower-priced, or same-priced sets, can't compare.

I got this tv because I was wanting a 4K television. I had the 2013 Samsung high end plasma and it was a 2000 dollar tv so I was concerned I might not get the blacks of the old tv. This TCL is a better picture than the Samsung and the 4K is jaw dropping. This is not only just a great tv for the price, this is an excellent tv period. I have zero regrets getting this tv. I also love the Roku. Would highly recommend.

Unclear about the TCL brand but relied on many reviews. Sharp image especially for movies, less for sports but adequate enough. Good job for video games(Nintendo). Super easy remote! Excellent value (Got it on sale at $599)! Definitely need a soundbar. Looked at Samsung Q60 and Q70, but $300-$500 more, ouch! Absolutely worth a look!

I was hesitant to get the TV at first because I hadn't previously purchased any TCL products. This TV has a great picture at half the price of other TVs this size and of this quality. The Roku is easy to set up and connect with your subscriptions. Absolutely happy with the purchase!

I started with a Samsung Series 8 UHD, but after further research I returned and purchased the TCL. TCL has better backlighting and was significantly less expensive (after holiday deal). Very Happy with the TV and the Roku features. Only con is I wish the remote was lighted. dont think you can beat the value of this tv.

Excellent picture. Almost too real sometimes, my wife says everything looks like a documentary. Sound is decent, not great. Remote is a little basic. We’re not used to the Roku interface on startup. Used Roku as our main streamer, but, cable has always been the default. Just 1 more button, but, different nonetheless. Packaging was easy to remove and mounting was easy. Would buy again

The TV's built in Roku streaming device and QLED imaging are fantastic and of great value for the price I paid. This is my second TCL TV and both where great values for the money. The black levels through 90 different individually controlled backlight zones produces incredible contrasts in this peiduct. I will be eyeing TCL as a main manufacture when shopping for Entertainment products for years to come.

Absolutely love this TV! The picture quality, brightness, color, etc is outstanding. It even rivals OLED TVs that cost thousands more. Love the Roku interface. The only issue I sometimes have with it is that the TV tuner sometimes does not show picture but only sound. Requires backing out of the tuner and going back in to get the picture to show.

Absolutely LOVE this TV, especially for the price. IMO the best combo of reasonable price with excellent picture. No, it's not full OLED visuals but it's darn close and the Roku interface is by far the best and easiest to use at the time being. None of the issues of the android tv based units. Wifi signal is fairly weak but that's easily resolved by hard wiring.

After reading and watching a plethora of reviews on the 2019 65 R625, I retired my 13 year old 46" 1080p Samsung and had the 65 R625 delivered on 1/22/20. Granted, I have only had the tv for one day, but I am in awe of the picture! Up-scaling is great; true 4k ultra HD is stunning. There is much discussion of panel quality lottery, if you get a clean panel or not when purchasing. If so, I won this particular lottery, again after viewing for only 1 day. Setup was very easy and straightforward; I already had a Roku account, which expedited setup time. $500 cheaper than Samsung Q70, which is first QLED in Samsung lineup with full array dimming and equivalent, or better picture! I have always been a huge Samsung fan, but for the difference in price, I opted for the TCL.

This TCL television was a purchase I made during some significant purchases to update our living room. As such, as had to look towards a lower cost television but without sacrificing everything you would like in a higher end television. I compared this television to the much more expensive televisions and at the end of the day the delta between cost and value was clear, I should go with the TCL. That said, conducting research and reading reviews is only the beginning. It is the actual use of the new television that confirmed that I made the right decision. I do not feel that I sacrificed anything of significance in regards to picture quality. Sure, a hard core tv reviewer may find issue with something on the television, but for any regular Informed consumer the picture is fantastic. Streaming 4K is beautiful on this television. The one important tip i need to share is tied to changing the settings when you receive the television. Search for TCL 6 series 4K settings online and you’ll find people with recommendations. In the end, pick what you like best, but I am certain that the original picture setting (low power) will not be it. The ROKU interface is excellent, and this comes from someone with amazon fire stick 4K’s throughout the rest of the house. So, a 65 inch 4K television with a built in Roku, excellent picture and reasonable speaker output makes this a Best Buy!

This is probably the best tv I have owned. Picture is awesome and allows you to adjust in a lot of ways. The built in Roku is awesome and is the best streaming device in my opinion. Sound is very good as well. Doesn’t require a sound bar but I’m sure the bar would improve it even more. I’m sure there are better tvs out there but not for this price point!

Pros: Great picture, especially in bright settings, Roku’s interface is user friendly, great price. Cons: the leg stands are at the ends of the TV, I had a TCL 4 series previously. I had to buy another pair to fit my tv stand. The darks are washed out in dark settings. Think of the beginning of Black Panther. Dark setting and dark clothing didn’t show up well.

I have a 55” TCL 4K TV and wanted a larger size with Dolby Vision support. I chose this TCL and it has been perfect. It has a premium quality to the looks compared to the cheaper 55” model and the picture is superb. Dolby Vision adds so much and compliments my Apple TV well. Even the built-in Roku is no slouch if you choose to use it. Highly recommend.

With Roku installed on the TV, the TCL 65" LED 6 series is easy to use and has a great picture. We have a very bright room, and we can see even the darkest scenes clearly. Very happy with the purchase. Only thing to note is that the legs of the stand are at either end, so you need to have a very wide TV stand if you don't plan to do the wall mount.
