I am beyond happy with the overwhelmingly amazing performance of this TV. I have had multiple SONY and SAMSUNG tv’s that cost way more money than this QM8 and it blows them out of the water!!!! If you are reading this review stop looking around and purchase this TV immediately! You will not be disappointed in any aspect! I have a living room that has a full wall of windows where light comes pouring in and still it doesnt have any issues with the glare . The colors BLAST out of this TV like nothing ive ever seen before on any other set up. Realistically with its high performance this should be way more expensive but the fact that it isnt makes this purchase a no brainer. TCL delievered 5 stars across the board with this new QM851G and I highly recommend it!

I love the picture quality of this TV. Colors are bright, black do not look washed out. The only draw back were the multiple issues we had using our LG SL7Y sound bar with this TCL TV. Eventually we had to remove the sound bar and just go with TV sound, which downgraded the experience during movies.

The QM8 851G is an awesome upgrade from the 2023 model. The picture quality is amazing once you adjust the settings in the picture menu..Very Bright and excellent contrast. The clarity of this TV is amazing!You will enjoy it if you purchase it!!

Purchased 65in TCL QM8. Got it home...great tv and the wife was so impressed with the picture she told me we should get the same tv only bigger. After I came out of shock from her statement ..i took full advantage of the moment and returned it for a 75in. The return and exchange was as smooth as butter since i was within the 15 day window of their return policy. Thank you Best Buy and to my wonderful wife for making my March Madness even better!

Salesman Rich was very knowledgeable and very helpful as we looked at Roku vs TCL TVs. We decided to go with TCL, and without any sales push from Rich, we upgraded ourselves to this QM8 series. We also self-upgraded to the best matching TCL soundbar, and Rich found that we saved an additional $100 by purchasing the two items together. The TV picture is amazingly bright, which makes the colors pop off the screen. The base sound system is very good, but adding the soundbar and subwoofer to the TV's speakers (as opposed to replacing them) makes the sound even better.

I loved the picture and im picky . Unfortunately it got delivered with a small defect. Looked like a few dea pixels. Best buy made it a very smooth transaction with the pick up. I decided to go ahead and pay the difference and get the same tv but in a 75 inch instead. Glad i did! Love it!

The HYPE is REAL! I had seen this tv on rtings and videos on digital trends. Well I'm happy to say it is really that amazing. I was really worried I wasn't going to like it but it far exceeded my expectations. Definitely the best bang for your buck. I've compared it to other name brand tvs like Sony and Samsung and you can hardly tell the difference. The stand and build quality stands out the most. TCL is really trying to make a name for themselves and it shows. Give it a try and you will not regret it!

Superb picture performance -- clarity, resolution, brightness, deep blacks, rich colors. Also, excellent sound processing. My 5.1 sound bar sounds far better than six year old Sony that the TCL replaced. 65" QM8 was purchased on sale for $899 - exceptional performance for the price.

Fantastic TV. The picture is amazing especially at the price I paid. The only complaint is the antiglare coating doesn't work as well as hoped.

I had high hopes for this TV after research and many tv reviewers giving this such high praise, but unfortunately I was very disappointed in the picture quality. For having so much brightness it was very dull and lifeless. The video settings also don’t help because if its dolby vision content you’re stuck with using those settings which often dull the tv even more. Motion and upscaleing were the worst I’ve seen in a higher end tv. (I know this is a tcl but this is one of their highest end units) Even Waves on an ocean scene skipped across the screen. Lastly the dirty screen effect was more than just that I could see visible lines up and across the screen that were just permanently there. If was extremely noticeable in panning scenes. This tvs saving grace was its on board sound. I hope other tv makers learn from this because the built in onkyo surround system with atmos was impressive. It was just as good as having a really good soundbar. Its possible I got a bad panel but I didnt want to take the chance of getting another one so this was returned.

Overall good value for price. Very good picture even on old movies. The 3.0 tuner which many TV’s don’t have captures great over the air programs & sports. Sound is ok but upgraded to Bose soundbar & subwoofer which more than satisfies the experience in a medium room. Why spend double $$ for a tv a regular person is not going to notice difference. Google tv works great as well as Roku & Apple TV which switch easily.

Wanted a replacement tv for our vacation home, but did not want to pay for OLED. Found out about TCL 65 in tv for a great price and pulled the trigger. Couldn't be more happy with picture and tv in general. It's a Smart Google tv with lots of features. Picture is not quite OLED, but outstanding for the price point.

Really good tv best bang for your buck. It gets extremely bright. Great for gaming and Movies

Replaced an aging Samsung my first TCL and I have been blown away by the quality and brightness of this new set. GoogleTV OS is great, easily got signed in to all of our streaming services and have seamless transitions between services.

I finally stepped out of the Stone Ages when LCD televisions were a thing. Wow! What a difference this television makes! I've even upgraded all of my streaming services to get the full benefits of 4K. I'm so happy with my purchase.

Great picture and capability. Google TV could be faster or more efficient in moving around menus and tv guide.

TV is great! Best Buy isn't. The TV was well reviewed online and lived up to expectations. Vivid colors, contrast, menus are fast to scroll through. I'm left with a very bitter taste in my mouth, though, because the installer pitched me on a Best Buy membership and told me I'd have a 60-day return window and that I'd be refunded if Best Buy dropped the price of the TV in the next 60 days. I signed up right then. But Best Buy disagrees with him! So I *can* return the TV anytime in 60 days (1/2 customer service agents agree) but the price matching refund doesn't apply (2/2 agents say so, although one initially said it did.) That means I can return the TV now, Best Buy will come pick it up for free, and then I can re-order the TV $400 less than I paid. But no automatic refund! Illogical corporate nonsense. Five stars for the TV, 1 for customer service. Next time, I'll buy my TV from the cable company.
