I have to absolutely return this item because the subwoofer is not working. This is in spite of having it paired with the working tv soundbar. The subwoofer’s pair indicator is solid, not blinking. However, no sound comes out. The soundbar itself works great even with my smart phone via Bluetooth. The soundbar even worked on my 43” LG smart tv (2019) that does not have a Bluetooth capability. I really like the soundbar’s sound quality but it is just the subwoofer is not emiting any sound. Thereby, I have no other choice but to do the return. I do not recommend buying this product unless it is working.

I will say that I’ve just hooked up this sound bar as of tonight. I purchased this purely based on price and features, I had a gift card, and essentially didn’t want to be in trouble with my wife. So my situation is that I have a 65 inch tcl roku TV, however the roku features aren’t used as the TV doesn’t get connected to the internet. However, I do use it with a fire stick. To be totally honest, I didn’t read the instructions, I’m a computer tech, and pretty much I pulled it out of the box, plugged the sub in at the back of the living room, placed the sound bar under the TV, connected power, plugged the hdmi into the hdmi arc port, and used the sound bar’s USB input as power for the fire stick. Upon turning on the TV, the TV automatically picked up the sound bar without me doing anything extra, and the fire stick booted up. I set the bar to movie mode. It sounded ok as is playing music from the fire stick. However, if you are using it in this manner, or with another device, set your device to Dolby Digital audio output. In my case, this made the sound bar sound even better than before. This accomplished what I wanted, which was that when I press the power button, the TV comes on, the sound bar comes on, and subsequently boots the fire stick that is plugged into the sound bar’s USB port. When I turn off the TV, the TV, fire stick and sound bar all turn off. For a roughly 100-120 dollar sound bar, the audio quality is good, and it has good features. Don’t buy this if you are expecting Yamaha or Bose. Truth be told, I sort of wanted a Polk audio sound bar that is listed here for almost 100 dollars more, but this was a compromise. I can’t speak to long term yet, but if what you have is 100-120 dollars, or you catch this on a sale, get it. It’s a nice item for what it is, especially for having hdmi arc. I did come from an older insignia sound bar that also had a sub, but no hdmi arc. This is probably on par with that. But there isn’t much on the tcl sound bar in the way of eq controls. So if you just want to set it up and not worry, this is a good unit.

Overall sound quality is good to great. Used HDMI, Bluetooth, and Digital connections since purchasing. Can't say it's the best but great for the price and quality.

So far so good. Keep in mind you get what you paid for. It doesn't have any special settings or bass level for the subwoofer, only 3 general adjustments for the sound set. If you are watching a show that doesn't have a well balanced audio level, you might experience some very loud bass noise - it already happened twice with a TopWings DVD show my soon loves to watch (and only with that show) - unfortunately it requires a full reset to get the subwoofer back to work as it seems to overcome its volume level to the limit. Nevertheless, it has worked perfectly either while on TV/Cable mode, streaming, gaming or playing a 4k movie on my Blu-ray player. And I have stressed the audio levels over 50% along those experiences. A great cost benefit match for my TCL 4k 55" tv.

I have been using this product for nearly a month now. I have a 55" TCL TV, so wanted to get a Soundbar which will easily integrate to the TV avoiding handling an extra remote. In that aspect, this Soundbar is brilliant. Extremely easy setup and it just took care of the settings on its own. Initially I wasnt sure if the sound was any better. May be the TV sound quality was decent enough. But once I compare the sounds back and forth, thats when I realize the difference and appreciate the sound bar. Volume level needs to be at 45+ for everyday use and when the heater is on, it needs to go upto 60+. Bass is good enough and dialogue output quality is good. There is no dedicated center speaker, so with the 2 speakers, it gives the best it can. Do not expect a surround sound as this is a 2.1. Overall, having used a 5.1 Sony speakers in past, this surely cant compete with that, but for a 2.1 soundbar it performs really well. I would definitely recommend this product to those who have a TCL TV and are looking for a 2.1 soundbar. Just to answer few popular FAQs, I never had a problem with TV bar going to standby and needing to use its own remote it bring it back on. TV remote just works fine. I never had to use soundbar remote after I used it once for testing. Subwoofer paired with Soundbar automatically and had no issues. Bass is good enough for sounds that actually has bass content.

Using this with my projector through the Bluetooth connection. Sound is good for its size and the wireless sub is a nice little extra. deducted 1 star because the sub isn't very powerful and the speaker doesn't turn off automatically when it doesn't receive a signal. But for the price, it's great for our simple setup in the basement movie room. Definitely better than the sound coming out of the projector.

Good soundbar for the money. Easy set up and sounds great

Surprisingly good for the price. Very easy setup and good mounting hardware provided in the box. A definite improvement over the pretty bad speakers in the majority of today's flat panel TVs. As long as you're not expecting anything approaching audiophine level sound quality, this package is great.

I have mixed feelings about this soundbar. Great price. The setup was easy (the wireless sub was already paired and worked out of the box). It integrates with the TCL Roku TV over HDMI Arc wonderfully (though the volume adjustment moves in bigger increments that the native TV sound). At first, the sound was lackluster, you really have to be facing it straight on for it to sound good, but the sound is growing on me. The sub has been feeling a bit under-powered lately. Also the lack of standard mounting screws on the bottom was unfortunate in my setup (TV on arm, soundbar mounted under tv on arm so I had to get a special soundbar cradle type mount). But, at this price point it is still a nice upgrade to the TV built in sound, plus also having the ability to connect other audio sources without having a receiver and speakers.

It's pretty good for the amount that you pay for it. The sound started off really really good but I've noticed after time it's kind of dwindled down a bit and it doesn't get quite as loud as it used to. for a TV that doesn't have very good sound. This will definitely help I bought this for my element TV which had awful sound so this definitely helped boost it a little bit, although it could be a bit louder. It was super easy to set up. Literally just plugged it in and my TV recognized it so didn't take much

I purchased this to use with my 65" TCL Roku TV. This sound bar really shines with action/war movies as it levels the sound so the soft speaking and then loud explosions are almost of equal volume. I tested with SPR opening scene and the wife did not yell to turn it down. Very easy to set up and the sub has stayed paired since original set up. Great value sound bar. Very happy with it's performance so far.

I have no real complaints, keeping in mind that TCL products are not top of the line. I bought this primarily because I wanted an easy match with my 43" TCL, and it does pair with a minimum of fuss. The sound is quite good, more than adequate for my small NYC apartment living room. The bass is sometimes a bit distracting and can't be controlled, but that's a minor issue. You will not get a soundbar with a lot of options and settings or bells and whistles, but you will get one with a lot of value for the money that delivers on its promise.
