Even the bluray version looks demo worthy. Get the 4k if its on sale but for 7.99 the 1080p disc is good enough.

The biggest complaint about Tenet is the complexity of the plot and how hard it is to understand! There is a remedy though, you either need to watch it at least twice or you need to watch one of the explainer videos on you tube to fully appreciate exactly what is going on through the movie and the timeline of the different characters.
A CIA agent which is known only as Protagonist must travel through time and bend the laws of nature to prevent World War III. Armed with only one word, Tenet, and fighting for the survival of the entire world, a Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time with the help of his wingman Neil (aka new Batman!), they must go after the baddie called Sator (aka Kenneth Branagh) for having a terrible Russian accent, just kidding but you’ll have to watch it. Just make sure that you have 2 hours and 30 minutes free because it’s not the type of movie that you can stop and start easily.
From a visual standpoint it is pretty awesome and different to Inception. There are so many mind-blowing sequences that combine special effects, direction cinematography. I think this is one of those movies where the more times you watch it, the more you will understand about the timeline. I watch the 4K version as it looks best if your tv supports it.
What's in the box? 3 Discs - One 4K Disc feature film, One Blu-ray Disc feature film, One Blu-ray special features and also one insert for the digital copy of the movie which can be redeemed for a movie download on the various app platforms.
The box is the Metallic SteelBook cover with special artwork.

Although not as good as other films of Nolan's, say Inception, the film is still amazing. Who else is able to create such original Hollywood films in this day and age? Caution: sound mixing is interesting, to say the least. Set piece scenes are VERY LOUD.

This film even on the Blu-ray format, is such an incredible addition to my cinema collection. Since some companies are doing away with DVDs and blu-rays, I'm glad I got this when I did. Christopher Nolan absolutely nose what film is and who people are and how they react to ordinary and extraordinary situations. This film is absolutely wonderful! I recommend purchasing the Blu-ray/ DVD combo if available as soon as possible before it is no longer produced.

Christopher Nolan is amazing! And this was mind blowing! Had to see it twice to better understand it. That didn't work as well as I expected but enjoyed it again for the very first time! Ha ha! Sci-fi lovers should be very impressed wit some of the special effects and the unfolding of time. Also luved Inception and Interstellar. Read Kip Thorne's book "The Science of Interstellar" which was very impressive and even understandable to the average reader! Now that was an experience also!

Another Masterpiece from Christopher Nolan

Tenet is, in my opinion, another mind bending masterpiece from Christopher Nolan. I will not avoid the fact this movie will require multiple viewings to fully grasp what is happening but do not let that deter you from watching this film. If you have seen any of Nolan's recent films you know that you will witness a visual feast of amazing set pieces and expertly crafted action sequences. I will not go deep into the plot one because I do not want to spoil anything and two, given everything that happens this would be a very long review. The movie overall is an espionage movie with a time manipulation angle. The main character is pulled into this world in order to prevent what he believes is World War III. This story takes the main character all over the world in order to not only figure out who is responsible for this global plot but also how the time manipulation aspect is involved with this. I know that this is an incredibly vague plot summary but I do not like spoiling everything and again this movie is hard to explain. After I finished it the first time my group and I spent about thirty minutes talking about it and realized we all got different interpretations about what happened. This movie treats its audience like adults and trusts them to pay attention in order to follow this complex, multiple timeline spanning of a film. If I had to pick a negative it would be its length in that it might have benefited from being longer. It's current run is 2.5 hours but I think it would have benefited from another 30 minutes to flesh out some details. In the end I have nothing but praise for this movie. Yes, I will admit that I am a big Nolan fan and have liked all of the movies from him that I have seen but that does not take away from the fact that this movie is, once again in my opinion, and masterpiece. It is hard to find movies today that try to be so different and that trust its audience to pay attention and not want their handheld throughout the complex story. Masterfully directed, amazing acting, great action, spectacular set pieces, and a mind provoking story are just a few of the reasons that people should experience this film.

“Don’t try to understand it, feel it.” This is a direct quote from Clémence Poésy’s character in writer/director Christopher Nolan’s TENET which derives its name from the Sator Square (or Rotas Square) containing a five-word Latin palindrome. The text on this square may be read top-to-bottom, bottom-to-top, left-to-right, or right-to-left; it may also be rotated 180 degrees and is still able to be read in all those ways. In the simplest of terms, this is kind of all you need to know in order to understand what Nolan is going for in his latest if not necessarily grasping how he’s meaning to achieve it. “Broad terms” is a key phrase for an initial viewing of TENET as in: it’s best to try and understand everything in broad terms. If one tries to focus too heavily on the intricacies (or the exposition, as you may have heard) it’s without doubt that one will also become overwhelmed by the complexities Nolan and his screenplay are compacting into a narrative that is not only here to serve a story or an idea, but the filmmaker that is Mr. Nolan himself. Is the film complicated? Undoubtedly, but does it make sense in those broad terms to the extent there is something for audiences to take away from the experience? Certainly. As stated, this is Nolan functioning at his most Nolan-est. John David Washington (star of BlackKklansman, son of Denzel) is our literal protagonist here (seriously, that’s the character name he’s given), but the real star of TENET is Nolan himself. The director has explored time through multiple facets throughout his filmography whether it be backwards in Memento, the extended experiences of our dreams that might amount to only a few minutes of actual sleep in Inception, the relativity and dilation of time when travelling through the stars in Interstellar as well as in the ticking clock of war in Dunkirk. Nolan has always used this element as a point of view though, as a way to better understand what his characters are going through; what the individual experience of whatever story Nolan is telling might have actually felt like. TENET is a different beast. Whereas time has always been more a factor of the plot (maybe even the antagonist, I see you Interstellar) it has never become the purpose, the cog on which the entirety of the point of the story turns. TENET is both a spy film that ultimately culminates in our hero saving the girl and the world from a bad, bad man while also being a film steeped in the fantastical idea that someone has engineered a product that allows human beings to pass both forward and backward in time. Like I said, broad terms. What’s unfortunate is that while Nolan is spinning his impressive wheels at the highest of levels and combining his strong visual and atmospheric prowess with that of truly inventive and innovative ideas (per usual) he is still unable to make us care about the people parading through these locations and ideas. In short, Poésy’s character was onto something when she said, “Feel, don’t think,” as a lack of understanding regarding the world of TENET might more easily be forgiven if there were anything to feel for any of these individuals, but Nolan’s script is so intent on generating questions over care that it’s difficult to consider much reflection once the astonishment wears off.
