I purchased this movie for my family. The picture quality was great! This 4K HD Blu Ray was cheaper than at other places. Extremely satisfied with price, quality of video and the movie.

Love the movie..even though it was filmed a couple of years ago, it reminds me of 90s shows like Are you Afraid of the Dark..Goosebumps. I recommend it if you like those shows.

I’ve liked most of the movies that both Jack Black and Cate Blanchett has appeared in and this one was a good story as well. It reminded me a lot of Goosebumps. Great for the kids.

When you give good directors and actors sub-par stories to tell, they still end up making highly enjoyable movies. That's the case with this one. The kids love it, I don't hate it.

I was a little worried it might be too scary for my son, but despite a little bit of scary moments, overall he really enjoyed it. It is a great kids movie that adults can still enjoy

I am surprised that I like jack black. His role was not over the top and there was very good chemistry with Cate Blanchett. I like magic and fantasy movies so I enjoyed it very much.

Decent special effects extravaganza. Very heavily reliant on cgi, which looks very good even under the scrutiny of 4k. Excellent HDR picture and even better Dolby Atmos sound.

we enjoyed this movie for our family movie night. It was funny and not to scary for kids, lots of action and kept everyone's attention. we will be watching it again soon!

This movies is an excellent choice for people of all ages. I enjoyed the story and surprises along the way. I think this is a movie that anyone can enjoy, no matter how old you are.

I wasn't sure about this movie but it was on sale, so I took it home and watched it with my family. It was a fun watch. My whole family enjoyed it and we are not Jack Black fans.

Good movie for my grand children. They have watched it twice and enjoyed it both times. Not too scary. Some juvenile humor but to be expected in a kids movie, these days.

Great family movie! Jack Black and Cate Blanchett have wonderful chemistry, there's also cool visuals and creatures. This was a lot of fun, definitely worth multiple viewings!

Fun story that took my kids a little while to get in to, but then held their attention, scared them a little, but overall they loved it and wanted to watch it again.

I read the reviews when this movie first came out and opted to not see it in the theaters because the ratings were mediocre. However, this is really a good movie. Watch it.

There have been quite a few movies with a magic theme over the last 15 years. This one was pretty good, my daughter really likes it and it is pretty funny as well

Not your typical Jack Black romp, a bit more family oriented. A little derivative of other movies of similar vein, but NOTHING is completely original anymore.

I loved this movie.The acting and effects were great.Not to mention it was filmed in my own home town I can go the exact houses that were used in the movie .So cool!!
