This is a great scifi rendition of the classic tale. I enjoyed it a lot and 4l makes it that much better

The filmmakers did the right thing by removing Snow White and going to the only thing watchable in the original movie – Thor with axes instead of a hammer. They then tried to tap into the popularity of Frozen by creating an evil ice queen to hold the fort/ice palace until Charlize returns late in the movie to chew up some scenery. As stated above, I kind of liked the movie but there was a lot to forgive. The shoe horned prequel/sequel plot didn’t help but let us remind ourselves this is fantasy and stories should be allowed some leeway to breath. Thor’s bemused action credentials are fully redeemed and he seemed to be having a lot of fun. Of course, that’s easy when you’re surrounded by Blunt, Charlize, and especially Jessica Chastain who dominates as the love interest. The four leads and some feisty dwarves made this watchable if not memorable.

Awesome Quality 4k movie. The graphics are outstanding, action scenes are perfectly done.

Picked this up for a family member and couldn't be happier with the story and visuals.

How can a movie with Chris Hemsworth go wrong...not so far!

I enjoyed the movie very much. I like remakes of classics.

The cast is good, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt are all accomplished actors and they filled their roles well. The story had an obvious ending and twist but that's not what the movie was about. If you want to watch an action packed fantasy drama with some decent CGI effects and decent acting, don't discount this film. I found this sequil better than the first one as the first one was tad slower and seemed to drag on a bit (perhaps because of snow white and her frozen acting). Here the frost queen acted more fluidly. I enjoyed the CGI as well because it was not over used. In my opinion, its definitely worth a watch.

This is a fun edition to the first movie. Love the cast!

Great movie - just the right mix of fantasy and action.

Winter's War heralds the arrival of the 4K SteelBook. Whether this trend continues will be determined by us, the faithful purchasers of steel. I must confess I bought this just for the case. The movie is just meh. It did not fully utilize the acting capabilities of its excellent cast. Only Jessica Chastain shows some depth of character. But then again the target audience is more interested in the action and special effects anyway. And there's ample supply of both. The SteelBook itself showcases the lead characters well although the artwork is not as eye catching as I would have wanted. But for there to be a 4K version is good enough for me.

Was such a great movie and clearer picture 4K.....

I am a big fan of Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt, main reason why I saw this one...this is not a sequel, this is supposed to happen before Snow white..so if you have seen Snow white, then there will be a lot of head scratching, and why do they always show sequel before the prequel..but I still like it and I just let it carried me away, sort a like passing the time away, good fight sequence and clean s/fx, was still entertaining...it would have sell a little bit if they have shown some glimpses of Snow white kingdom, like a meanwhile, just to tie it in....

Nice film, it was a little odd not seeing Snow White in the film although she's referenced quite often. I loved the special effects and I truly enjoyed the story. It definitely fleshed out the Huntsman's character and history. I thought it was interesting that this takes place before and after the first film. That was an interesting twist. I liked the characters there was adventure, humor, drama and fun all rolled up in this movie which made it a pleasure to watch.

Excellent special effects and costuming. 4K really brings out the best in both areas. Interesting as it’s a prequel and a sequel at the same time.

Pretty fun film, not perfect but an entertaining rental. Hemsworth is fantastic again and Charlize Theron is Always awesome. Emily Blunt was the perfect addition to the cast. A little bit of a Frozen rip off with the ice queen part but I looked bast it because of Blunt's excellent performance. Chastain was pretty good as well. You do miss the Snow White element but it didn't affect the film that much. I would like to see a third film in the series although I think it's not likely due to poor box office, which is too bad.

Between the two films, this (Winter's War) would be my favorite, it's lighter on its feet, has great actors, great CGI and a better sense of adventure than the first film. I had a lot of fun with this especially watching this in 4K, the disk is reference quality with incredible 4K picture and sound. If you are in a mood to watch a light hearted fantasy film and(or) show off the beautiful capabilities of 4K, then this is worth the purchase. My downside is the $30 price tag, too much

The DTS:X audio track was amazing and the video details are much finer. Image clarity remains stellar on both, and the digital source is clean as a whistle. This is a very nice step up, even from what is, by 1080p standards, a top-shelf presentation. This is worth the upgrade to 4K.
