Great movie for a great price. I’ve been a Best Buy customer since it’s inception. With the selection and prices you can’t go wrong.

This film is a modern classic in my opinion. The railroad wants to come through a village of Samurai. But the Samurai don't make it easy fighting tooth and nail all along the movie. Tom Cruise's character is injured and has learned from the West. Now he learns from the East as he killed the husband of a blind woman. The blind woman cares for his injuries even though he would be considered an enemy. This all leads up to the final battle. I won't disclose the ending but it makes up what is so great about this film.

If you appreciate Tom Cruise, and Eastern Culture, you will very much enjoy this tale of a western in Japan, and the zen aspect of the Samurai culture as it was in feudal Japan on the cusp of modernization into the Industrial Age. Two thumbs up, and worthy of rewatching time and again.

This so happens to be my favorite Tom Cruise movie. I like the historical aspect provided about Japan's samurai warriors. Tom's character is touching and the movie's plot grabs you! The only downfall is that the movie did not include a digital code.

Excellent and beautiful movie. Outstanding acting by everyone, if you like Tom Cruise this is another great film from him. Also If you collect steelbooks then i recommend adding this one to your collection, especially for the price.

This is truly one of Tom Cruises best movies I watch it all the time the cast, story, and acting in this movie are all top notch well worth it and a great film to add to your collection.

I saw this movie long ago and when we purchased and watched it again - it did not disappoint. Great casting, great story and a quality film. I'd recommend!

Great action scenes and well known Japanese cast that depicts the internal struggle of Japan trying to Westernize and still remember its history.

This blu-ray captures what I think is one of Tom Cruise's best movies, and, in my view, he's made a lot of them. The colors brought out on this disc are just fantastic, and the sound and music are fully immersive. In the battle scenes, you can hear the bullets whizzing around you, and the soldiers and their adversaries shouting from all sides. Some people compare this film to Kevin Costner's "Dances With Wolves," and the themes of a person coming to deeply understand and identify with another culture are similar -- but, while Dances is a great movie and part of my collection as well, I think The Last Samurai is a much more profound and moving story, capturing the dignity of an impressive culture with great cinematography, great acting, and great music. This blu-ray brings all of that home. You just get the disc -- no digital copy with this version -- but still well worth a place in your collection.

I enjoyed the last heroic charge of tradition samurai opposed by the then modern western weapons and the tactics used by both sides.

I live this movie. Honestly one of Tom cruise’s best performances. Emotionally impactful movie with great fight scenes and music.

This film is based on the last revolt of the Samurai in Japan. The movie has excellent action scenes and is well filmed

The Last Samurai is a wonderful tale of honor and friendship set in an epic worth watching over and over again.

I really enjoyed watching this movie about the U.S. captain who joined as a samurai during the Satsuma rebellion.

This is a really amazing movie. Tom Cruise puts on a great performance, and even learns Japanese very quickly, haha.
