Very addicting game to play with friends
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reviews I read online weren't the best, but after trying it for myself I quickly found that online multiplayer was a blast. Two of my friends also bought the game and we had a ton of fun just sitting in the living room completing the maps and challenges. There are three modes: multiplayer, singleplayer and battle mode. This gives it hours upon hours of game play and the replay value is pretty good as well. Would recommend.

A different take on the Zelda series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'ts a Zelda series game, but not *really* a Zelda series game in the same fashion as Skyword Sword, Wind Waker, Link Between Worlds, Majora's Mask, etc. The game mechanics are based on a team of three working together, either three via multiplayer or solo with two dopplegangers that you also control (but only one of the three Links at a time.) In addition to his sword, each of the Links can pick up one of the classic Zelda series items, such as bombs, boomerang, hookshot, and gust jar, but which items are available depends on the stage. It's core facet is that many of the puzzles require the Links to become a totem-pole to solve. In fact, *too many* of the puzzles require it, and furthermore require the Links in a particular order; you spend too much time just swapping your totem pole around to meet the current challenge. Its an interesting concept, but somewhat flawed. Recommended if you liked the earlier Zelda series entry 'Four Swords Adventures'. Consider it more carefully if you prefer the more standard Zelda games as this one really doesn't fit the same mold.

Hilarious Co-op Zelda fun!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is hilarious trying to play with 3 people. If you need a good idea of what's going on before you buy it. Watch Game Grumps play it. It's hilarious and has great puzzles to have fun with and lots of unlockables. Plus new Free DLC coming soon with more gameplay! Supports Download play and full game play for local! So good for if you have a friend who wants to try it before they buy it :)

Great Multiplayer and Dungeon Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not like every other Zelda, there is not much of a story and no open world. HOWEVER, the dungeons are excellent. Whether you are playing online or locally with friends there are some great puzzles. There is lag sometimes online and no voice chat.

Its dangerous to go alone....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nintendo has the perfect formula for encouraging players to stick together which is apparent in Zelda the Triforce Heroes. The game feels best when playing with friends. Puzzles are challenging and with different attire for Link your approach can vary giving the game lots of replayability. Great add to the franchise!

Fun multiplayer or frustrating solo adventure
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's possible to beat the game in 1-player mode, but some of the puzzles can be very frustrating to solve because you have to coordinate your switches (between characters) quickly and in the correct order. Multiplayer mode is a lot of fun but slow internet speed for online play, and sudden disconnections kills the experience. Playing with friends via download play works flawlessly. Even if they don't have the game, they can unlock territories so you're not stuck playing in the Woodlands. Puzzles are easier to solve in multiplayer mode, but it also means there's a higher chance of taking damage with 3 Links running around, accidentally hook-shooting each other, accidentally throwing each other off cliffs or platforms, accidentally throwing live bombs at each other...or just not working together...

Fun Gameplay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game doesn't do much to further the Legend of Zelda story, but it has great gameplay with the tri force hero squad, and collecting materials is fun if not a little frustrating. Great replay value, and overall great game.

A Game That Keeps up with your Intelligence
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jumping into a new Zelda game with three Links running around can be a little confusing at first, but sticking with it will yield fantastic rewards. The game is a heavily Multiplayer focused top-down adventure game in a bite-sized form. There is the option for Single-player, giving the player control of the remaining Link characters in the form of lifeless dolls. It's a bit odd at first having to manually switch to the correct Link in order to progress with each levels often fast paced puzzle design, but by the end of the first area it will feel a bit more fluid. The problem will come in the later levels, where teamwork and swift motions are key to success but without other players it will prove a challenge even for the most adept Zelda player. This is where multiplayer shines. Having two other friends or even playing with unknown characters online can be an absolute blast. You'll find yourself soaring through even the toughest dungeons as you come to rely upon your partners. The downfall of the experience is the lack of voice chat for communication, as the game provides a list of emotes on the bottom screen. They can never truly get the point out nor allow a truly effective way of communicating with the other players what needs to be done. At the end of each dungeon level the players will be rewarded with a piece of loot that can be used to create new outfits for Link to wear. Each outfit gives Link new abilities or enhances previous ones like the Kokiri suit. This Robin Hood-esque outfit allows Link to fire three arrows in different directions while using the Arrow tool given at the beginning of each level. This adds an extra level of replay value to the levels, as only one Link will be lucky enough to get the rare item after crawling through a tough Dungeon through the snowy mountains. After completing a dungeon, which consists of 5 levels that contain 5 areas each, the player will unlock the option to play through the dungeon's challenges. This adds difficulty like "complete the level with less hearts" or "finish within the time limit" that will keep the player coming back for even more rare items to build even better outfits. There is also a Coliseum mode that players can go head-to-head with another player using their best outfits. Or they can choose to team and take on a gauntlet of the toughest enemies the game has to offer while still giving a reward at the end. The game is a blast to play to the very end. It will lack the fun and charm if played only through single player. Given the chance the multiplayer could be the best experience by far on the 3DS handheld thus far. It's great for the Zelda hardcore fans and newcomers alike.

Great game in general for having fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is a lot of fun in both having fun with friends & trolling. There are times where there is tremendous amounts of lag, but the game is still fun to solve puzzles with your buddies.

It is what it seems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is what it markets itself as - fun for multiplayer shenanigans, bare for those looking for a story and plot progression. If you're buying for the right reasons, then it's great!

Great multi-player game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like puzzles and can get 2 friends to pay locally, this is a fantastic game. If you are solo, it is tedious to play and solve the puzzles. Overall, a great title for the 3DS.

A great *multiplayer* game; solo players look away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a huge Zelda fan, it takes a horrible game for me to not enjoy it. This is not a horrible game. Far from it: It takes many of the things that were great about Four Swords Adventure and makes it slightly more accessible. It's not really a main series Zelda game, so feel free to skip it, especially if you've no one to play with. The solo mode is extremely frustrating and slow. That said, you can play with randoms online, so it's worth a consideration, even if you're a bit of a loner. My wife, my brother, and I really enjoy playing this together. Almost a must have if you're looking for an awesome triple co-op experience.

Two player issue
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many of you may already know this, but I had not looked into it first, and I was surprised to discover that you can either play this game as 1 player or as 3 players - but you can NOT play as 2 players. I thought that it was that you could join forces up to 3 players - like that was the maximum. So if you were planning on getting together with just one friend to use the multiplayer, then you will not have that option. While that was definitely disappointing, it is still a fun game. Just something to keep in mind if you were thinking to do a team approach.

Find Friends
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not your typical Zelda game. While there are dungeons, fun puzzles, and interesting boss fights, there is a lot about this game which might not appeal to a casual gamer. This game is at its best when you're playing with two other friends or if you have access to the Internet. The single-player version is challenging and often frustrating. The multi-player, if you're playing locally with two others can be a ton of fun, but if you have to play with random folks online then you're bound to run into lag and frustration with unskilled players or trolls. This is a great game for a group.

Very Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great spin on a multiplayer take of the Zelda series. True to the classic games, but playable with other people. Puzzles are great and designed well for 3 people. Ability to play with strangers is a plus.

Zelda Four Swords Sequel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is basically a sequel to Zelda: Four Swords. This game is really intended for 3 players. It can be played in single player mode, but it just isn't as fun having to control 3 characters around the levels. Some of the challenge areas are not possible to complete with 1 player. If you played and enjoy Zelda Four Swords, then you'll enjoy this game. If you didn't enjoy Four Swords, then don't buy this one. Also note that each player must have a copy of this game to play in 3 player mode. It only supports 1 and 3 players, it does not support a 2 player mode.

If you love puzzles and dungeons you'll love this
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first i was skeptical with this game didn't seem to get the greatest reviews, but my love for zelda games is pretty strong so i had to bite. OMG! this game is just down right fun. If you liked A Link between Worlds this game looks and handles pretty much the same except you play with 3 players. I'm guessing not a lot of people liked the fact you can only play local with 3 players not 2 which is understandable but don't bash the game for it its just down right fun. There is online capability to play with randoms online which i always do. There is single player mode which you control 1 live player and 2 dolls to simulate the 3 player experience. Overall solid zelda game!

A great game to play with friends or alone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played about a third of this game each with friends locally, random people online, and by myself using the doppelgangers. All of them were fun but playing locally was probably my favorite way to play. Most people you will play with online are capable to help figure out the puzzles and strategies in game (sometimes needing a little help via the emotes on the touch screen). Playing single player requires a little more strategy as you can only move one hero at a time, while the other two are stone statues. It helps that those statues can only be damaged by falling or being thrown off ledges though!! I can only hope that more fun levels as dlc will come out for this game.

Overall a fun zelda game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The story may not be very deep or good in general but if you have 2 more friends to play with, then it's a worthy enough investment.
